Moana POV

Maui woke with a jolt that startled me, tears still streaming down his face. I sat up delicately in his lap.

I was told by Akhino to lay in Maui's lap and wait for him to wake up. I didn't want to but did as I was told.

"Morning," I said, tapping his nose and wrapping my arms around his neck. "How did you sleep?"

"Wouldn't you like to know," he sneered. I fake pouted. "I'm sorry for asking honeysuckle, I was just wondering."

"Did you just call me honeysuckle?"

"Maybe," I chuckled.

"Well don't," he hissed.

"Ok flower," I agreed teasingly.

"Don't call me flower," he said, sounding annoyed.

"How about candy?"

"No no no."

"Fine then, your stuck with sugarcane and I won't change it," I said.

"Ugh," he groaned.

"C'mon sugarcane," I pouted.

"This is going to be a long rest of my life," he grumbled.

"Oh don't worry, you'll be missin' it once I'm gone," I chuckled.

"If you get to give me a nickname I want to give to you one too."

"Go ahead sugarcane," I smiled teasingly.

"I'm debating between Lemon Barry and Sour Apple."

"Which do you think fits me better?"

"Lemon Berry, that's what I'll call you," Maui said.

"Works with me sugarcane."

"Moana! Come here for a moment," I heard Tamatoa call.

"I'll be back sugar," I said as I began to walk away.

"Make it soon, ok Lemon?"

"Ok, you still have to tell me about your dream!"

I didn't know what it was but Maui sure seemed to like hanging out with me.

"Yes Tama?" I asked once I entered the room. "Kitten, I need you to a job for me," Akhino said.

"What is it Aki?"

"I need you to pretend you're you, the real you, again. Make Maui thing you're coming up with a plan, the you want to get out of here as soon as possible. Find his weaknesses. Make him surrender."

I looked at him and nodded. "Will do Aki." "I knew I could count on you kitten."

I smiled an walked back into Maui's chambers. I climbed back into his lap and leaned my head against his bare chest. "I'm here Maui. I'm trying to think of a plan to get us out."

Maui tensed under my touch but relaxed when I told it was "me."

"What have you come up with so far Lemon?"

"Nothing really sugarcane. I still need to think of a way to break these. I don't know where they hid the keys."

That was a complete lie. Heck, I'm the one who hid them. I looked up at him to see him smiling at me. "It's good to have you back Lemon."

"I see you're going to keep the name?"

"It suits you better than Princess and I might go back to curly every now and again but yeah, pretty much."

"And maybe I'll call you sugarcane instead of dork or shark-head," I said, pecking his cheek. It took all of my strength not to shudder. This was going to be a long few days.
