Miko's P.O.V.
I woke up due to the sun light. I sighed as I got up, after untying myself, and jumped quietly onto the ground. It was just dawn. People were starting to wake up. I grabbed my bag and ran into the woods. When I was sure that I was far enough. I slowed to a stop and sighed. 'What am I going to do?' I thought as I at down. I then just realized I was leaning against the god tree. 'oh well.' I thought as I pulled out my MP3 player, yes, I still have it, and turned on the screen. It was frozen. So the battery was on 100%. I smiled softly to myself and I put in my ear buds and picked a song from my playlist.

I was cut off when I heard rustling in the bushes in front of me. I pulled out my ear buds, put my MP3 player back into my back pocket. And was ready to run. I REALLY didn't want to have to deal with Inuyasha or Sesshomaru right now. So, then next thing I knew, I ran. And the person chasing me wasn't even a person, or just one! It was a group of blood thirsty snake demons! And this is where we started at the beginning of the story. Me, being chased, by demons. I kept running until I got to a cliff. The fall would kill me on impact. I was trapped, like a baby innocent kitten in a cage, about to be taken and put to sleep for all eternity. I snapped out of my thoughts when one of the snake demons, who I presumed was the leader, spoke. "Come with usssss. And we promisssse not to harm you. Sssssnakesssss honor." I didn't know if I could trust him, but what choice did I have? So, I nodded timidly and followed them.

Still Miko's P.O.V.
It has been 2 weeks since I started following these snake demons. All of them thought I would make a good snack, but the leader, who was really kind, told them that if any of them touches me, they will be dead on the spot. 'I should really thank him for his kindness' I thought as I followed him all the was to a fancy looking hut. The leader open the main flap for me. "This is your hut. I hope it fits your liking?" I stepped inside and was in awe about everything! I mean, it looks like a normal hut on the outside, but the inside looks like a palace! I mean, it has a huge ruby chandelier hanging fron the center pole, a queen sized bed with black pillows, sheets, and the bed frame, all lined with gold. A crimson red carpet under my bed, and a black desk at one side of the hut while their was a closet, a dresser, and a chest on the other side. I gasped. "It's beautiful...... I......I love it! Thank you so much!" I smiled at the snake demon leader. He smiled back. No problem. I also put up a barrier around your hut so none of my men come and get you in the middle of the night." He lightly chuckled. I sat on my bed. It sure is comfy. "Um.... I was wondering..... I never caught your name in the last 2 weeks. I don't mean to sound rude or anything!" I said quickly, thinking I might have offended him in some way. He chuckled and waved his left hand left to right in a humored manner. "It is alright. I should apologize for not introducing myself the day we found you. My name is Kovu. And yours, my dear?" He said with a light bow. I lightly blushed. "I-it's Miko. Miko Mentha" I said standing up and giving him a light curtsy. I stood up straight just as he did. "Well, I should get going. You look like you need your rest. No offence." I chuckled and sat on the bed. "None taken. Goodnight." "Goodnight." He said as he left my hut. I took off my bag and stretched. My feet were really sore from walking 2 weeks straight without taking a break. I didn't walk half that much when I was with Sesshomaru..... 'Sesshomaru' I thought. I really did miss him. But I made up my mind that day and I'm not backing off my word now. I need to be strong...... strong...... I sighed as I crawled into bed and pulled out my caramel world's finest chocolates from my back pack. I ate a couple, put the rest away, hid my bag under my bed, and closed my eyes. "Sesshomaru..... I hope you can forgive me for..... for what I've done..... to your.... heart....." I mumbled as I fell asleep, dreaming of how it might have been between Sesshomaru and I if thing were slightly different.....

Everyone! My Kitsune pups! I am so, so, so sorry for the long wait! I don't have internet right now and I have a lot of stress going on with exams coming up and stuff going on at home!
