Miko's P.O.V.
I looked at the group that looked familiar to me. Sesshomaru pulled me behind him and drew his sword. I looked at Sesshomaru in wonder. 'Why is Sesshomaru acting so weird, he never did this to Rin before, so why is he being extremely protective over me?' I thought. "Sesshomaru!" The half-demon yelled angerly at Sesshomaru. "Give Mike back!"Sesshomaru looked at him with plain eyes. "And if I don't? Little brother." Sesshomaru replied with a tone showing that he was starting to get annoyed. 'Sesshomaru had a brother? Wait a minute!....' I thought as memories started flooding back into my head. "Inuyasha!" I yelled as I came out from behind Sesshomaru, much to his distaste, and stood in between Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. So they could not fight without hurting me first. I took a deep steady breath. "Look, I don't know why you two are fighting all the time, probably something older than me. But can we please, put this grudge aside and focus on the main problem here?" I said as I looked from Inuyasha, to Sesshomaru, and back to Inuyasha again. Inuyasha looked like he wanted to agree, Sesshomaru was more of a puzzle. But, seeming as I have been with him for so long, I know that he would never push this aside. I gave a small sigh. "Inuyasha, I know you and your gang want me to travel with you, but so does Sesshomaru's small group, even if it is not Sesshomaru himself, unless you two can make amends, or at least push this grudge aside until Naraku is dead, then I will travel with nether." I said as I walked over to a tree, grabbed my bag, and walked back the way Sesshomaru and I came. I bumped Sesshomaru's shoulder and was about to get out of arms reach when he put his sword away and grabbed my arm. "You are to stay with me." Sesshomaru said with a tone of desperation and with eyes saying that he doesn't want me to stay, he needs me to stay. But I can't, and I won't. I yanked my arm out if his grip. "Make me." I said with a venomous tone as I looked away and walked into the woods, never looking back.

Still Miko's P.O.V.
I continued walking for a while, slept at night, walked all day. It was at least 5 days till I reached my destination. "The God Tree." I sighed with relief. I continued walking until I reached the village. The villagers welcomed me with open arms. I walked through the village till I got to a certain hut. I knocked on the board before going in. There, cooking dinner, was the wise Kaede. "Hello Lady Kaede. Long time, no see." I said with a smile on my face. Kaede looked shocked but then smiled warmly at me. "Hello their, child." What brings ye to this village?" I sat down in front of her, knowing this will be a long discussion. "Well, Lady Kaede, as you probably know I was kidnapped by Sesshomaru. But now, he is being extremely protective over me. I had to tell the Inu brothers that, unless they get along, i won't travel with any of them. But when I tried to leave, Sesshomaru looked heart broken. I do not understand, Lady Kaede." I said as I took a deep breath. I said all of that in one breath, now that scares me. Kaede looked deep in thought. "Miko, my child, do you know what season it is?" I looked at her slightly curious. 'Spring, why do you ask, Lady Kaede?" I said, afraid of it meaning something bad. "Miko, Lord Sesshomaru is over protective over you because it is mating season. he might have chosen you to be his mate." Kaede said casually. "M-mating season?!" I said. It was worse than I thought. "And what about Inuyasha, Lady Kaede?" I asked as I calmed down. "hmm." Kaede hummed. " I believe Inuyasha knows that Sesshomaru chose you, but Inuyasha wants you too." Lady Kaede said. "I-I..." I looked down at my hands that were folded neatly into my lap. 'Mating season.... if both want me, I am going to have to chose between the two Inu brothers. Which... which do I chose?" I thought to myself. I looked at Kaede, who was getting ready for bed. I sighed lightly, I decided to go outside and get some fresh air, maybe that would clear my head a bit. I walked outside and looked at the clear night sky with the crescent moon shining high in the air. I sighed in content as a beautiful breeze brushed my face and lightly played with my hair. When the breeze stopped, I opened my eyes and climbed up the sakura tree I was standing beside. When I was high in the tree but the branch I was on was sturdy enough to take my weight, I sat on the branch with my back to the trunk. I grabbed a strong piece of ribbon I took from Kagome's bag. What? She wasn't going to use it anytime soon! Anyway, I used the ribbon to tie my leg to the tree, to keep myself from falling in the middle of the night. After I was sure that the ribbon will not untie itself, I put my hands into each others sleeve as I looked at the crescent moon. I sighed while giving a small prayer. "Goddess of the Moon, I pray to you this night for guidance. I am lost, what do I do with the problem that I now face, how do I be with one without hurting the other? Please Moon Goddess. I beg for your guidance. Blessed Be!" I said as I slowly lost consciousness. 'Good night cruel world' I thought as I closed my eyes and went to sleep that night.
