Kannamma's POV!

It has been two weeks since we visited the hospital. I'm taking my medicines and also doing my exercise properly because of my strict husband.

Thinking about him, my lips curved involuntarily. He's truly a gem. I still remember how he took care of me and explained me about periods when I talk so stupidly. I can't thank enough to god for giving this man in my life even though I missed the chance once.

And about the hospital visit, I felt extreme jealous and rage when she mentioned him as her Kavin! I just want to chop her head then and there. Never in my life, I felt extreme rage to think so violent for someone who's a complete stranger for me.

And Kavin! How dare he hide that 'so called crush' of him proposed him in school days! It's not that I didn't trust him. It's just hurted me when my husband crushing on some girl and that some girl proposed him and he hid that from me.

I just can't digest that. The insecurities and hurt along with the jealous literally burned me there. And when he mentioned her beautiful in front of me, I lost it.

Though, what he said is true, she's extremely beautiful with perfect shape and all, I just can't accept my husband find some girl beautiful and that some girl is no one but his crush!

That minute, the insecurities of being fat hitted me for the first time after meeting Kavin since few months back! He didn't make me feel the way till and now also he didn't. But I just can't control the insecurities flooded over my heart.

But then the conversation went good except her flirtings to my husband. Everytime, she flirts.. I just felt to bang her head on wall and punch him for smiling at her like an idiot! Idiot!!!

Then the actual problem has been discussed. When she said about my real problem, I can't say in words how much happy I'm. I apologized her mentally for my cursings before😅.

And I felt extremely stupid in front of Kavin to reject him for this silly issue. I created a big blunder so sooo stupidly! I felt like I'm the most dumbest person in the world at the moment!

And about the doctor whom I consulted before, I just wish to pour the hot coffee on her head.. No No! I don't want to waste coffee! That's my life! Then what about pouring hot water? Yes that will do!!!

Though I felt so stupid, I can't help but being frustrated with Kavin because of his so called school crush!

She asked him to buy medicines and that's when she talked with me. Though I felt atmost jealous, I can't be so grateful to her for treating me. I battled with my mind about so many questions.

What if he still have a crush on her?

What if she still loves him?

What if she propose him?

I know we can't easily forget our first crush and first love then what if they had still feelings for each other? No! Kavin will never leave me!

But what if he confused about his feeling? No. No! I know him! He never will do such things! He's a straightforward so he'll ask me anything if he's confused! Ryt! Don't doubt your husband kanns!

I came out of my thoughts with a chuckling sound.

What're you thinking so seriously with a frown? Are you thinking that I'll snatch your husband? She asked me with a chuckle as if she's reading my mind. I don't know how to repond. So I kept a blank expression.

No.. That.. I.. I know you both are just friends! I didn't doubt my husband (but I'm not sure about you🙄) and never will! I said with a awkward smile. She chuckled again.

So you're doubting me? Hmm.. Yes, you're right. I want Kavin! He's my first love and I can't leave him easily to a random girl like you!

For him, I became a doctor but he broke his promise! How dare he? I know he likes me as friend and I'll make sure to change the like for me to love one day! For him only, i didn't marry anyone till now! How can I leave him? He's my life! One and only love forever!

She said so seriously. I just looked at her with open mouth😲😱! Is she being serious? What the hell is she talking??? I can't allow her to spoil my life and to take MY MAN!!! Never in her dreams tooo!! I felt extreme rage and glared her intensely.

Suddenly she started laughing! Is she gone mad? Or did she test any new medicines of her that damaged her brain? Or did she became insane seeing her crush married already? What the hell is she doing?

Don't kill me with your looks please!😂 I.. I was just kidding! I just want to know how much his wife loving him. but I didn't expect this much intense look! Thank god.. There's no knife near you, otherwise I'd have dead by now. Isn't it?

She said while continued laughing. I just looked at her like she's really a doctor or mental patient who assumes herself her doctor. Seeing my confused reaction, she stopped laughing and composed herself after wiping the tears because of laughing.

Sorry yaar! I was just kidding! Don't mind me! I'm always like this.. Little bit nut loosened case! She joked with a chuckle.

Little bit? Only little bit is tightened and I think that too only because of her treating skills!

Hehe😁! Just leave it.. I want to tell you something. Not kidding but serious. Okay? She asked me. I nodded unsurely.

You're really lucky to have him as your husband! You know, he didn't give a damn to many girls who openly proposed him saying that he don't want to waste his time and love when he's immature to know the exact feelings.

You know I'm also one of those girls! Don't mistake me.. It's just a attraction for me but he is my first in that.. Later we became frnds! Just frnds only. But thinking about everything, I admire him a lot even now.

Don't worry, he'll be always my school crush not more than that. I know my place and I'm in love with my cousin now. I know he also love me. So I'm waiting for him to propose me.. She said the last line with a blush.

I know.. I'm sorry too for cursing you mentally just before now. (Well, exactly since he says that he had a crush on you!). And All the best for you and your cousin to start your new life soon! Kavin is like a boon for me and I just want him to lead a happy and contented life with me. So please cure this soon.. I'll do everything as per you say for this! I don't want to give him a unfulfilled life and also not to share my bad luck with him. I said. She smiled.

Everything is will be fine! It's not really a big issue. You'll be cured soon as this is just a starting stage! She said.

And don't forget us to invite for your wedding!😉 I said with a wink. She blushed. That time kavin came with medicines. And Nivetha is not in the mood to leave her last chance to tease him. And he literally dragged me outside.

I'm not mad at Nivetha now! I just mad at him! How can he have a crush on her? To be honest, it's not anger but insecurity and jealous.

I literally hugged him in bike! I just want to show to the world that this man is totally mine! And no one should dare to look at him unless they wish to die with my hands!

But he stopped bike and asked me to distance with him. How dare he? After romancing with his crush and frustrating me, how can he say that? I barked at him is that he wish her to come with her.

But that's when he said that he can't concentrate on road with a blush. I blushed at his words.

Then we reached home. After lunch, I got engrossed in talking with aththa. When I went to our room, he already slept. So after sometime, I decided to make coffee for him but the ego in me didn't let me. So i made myself coffee and went to our room intentionally.

He woke up and looked at the coffee expectantly. At the moment, I felt pity for not giving his coffee and it vanished the next moment when I remembered about the hospital incident.

He started explaining, but I can't leave him easily! How dare he hid the truth about his crush proposed him! I became super sarcastic!

Finally he told me that she's not his crush but his professor! That time, I felt like the tightness in my chest vanished! The new warmth spread in my heart!

He teased me for being possessive. I tried to escape but he caged me in between his arms. So I yelled at him that what's wrong in being possessive! He cut me off by his kiss!🙈

I didn't expect that! I felt possessiveness, love, longing.. Everything in that kiss! One of the best moments in my life and I want to freeze that! I was totally shy after that and aththa saved by calling me.

I literally ran from there. His cheeks turned pink which makes me to come and peck it! So cute🙈😍!

Then after that day, he started his silent strike again reasoning the mess which I created because of that stupid doctor. I apologized him to the extent. But he didn't bulge. He then talked with me after my hunger strike for a day! Yay! Finally!!

Stupid! He wasted 4 days by not talking with me!😒

But after that, his teasings and flirtings started and he became more naughty now a days. I even wonder is this the same Kavin whom I marry and gives me silent treatment 10 days ago! Because he turned into a total romantic romeo!

And coming to the doctor whom I consulted before, I and Kavin went there personally and made her realize her mistake. She apologized. But we just said that don't do this to anyone in future. She lowered her head in embarrassment.

Maya, Jo, Anni, and Pooja became super happy hearing the real truth. And not forget to tell, they gave me a lot of lectures regarding how stupid and childish I'm!

My family came to visit me in the previous weekend as they miss me so much! My anna bought me lots of chocolate and my favorite cauliflower pakoda😋!

Pooja and ram too came with sanju. Ram gave everyone gifts which he bought from London. We had so much fun. They made my weekend memorable.

But the only missing is Kathir. Obviously he became a part of our family and it felt incomplete without him. We asked him to join us but he denied saying some lame reasons. I don't know why he didn't come till now!

Ram returned 10 days ago. He is now working in chennai for the same company. They both decided shifting to Pooja's apartment. But amma and appa is not in mood for that as she can't handle sanju alone. But after lot of convincing, they finally agreed.

Now Pooja and Ram along with sanju are living in the apartment. They shifted just a week ago. Amma and aththa went and stayed there for the previous week to help her.

And coming to the present, Today pooja is going to start her own boutique. The opening day is today! The previous one is rented but this boutique is gifted by Ram. He's literally begging her to talk with him till now. Poor him!

And yes! Now I'm getting ready to go there. After the opening, we're going to Pooja's apartment just to spend time🤩!

I came out of washroom wearing a chudi only to change into saree. I saw kavin who's sleeping peacefully. I went near mirror ruffling my wet hair with towel.

Oye wildcat! What are you thinking deeply? Is it about how to kill me with your cuteness? Is it means, then I'm already breathless! You won😉! Kavin said grinning naughty made me came out of my thoughts. I hitted his arm playfully while trying to hide my blush.

Kavin! Please don't start your flirting now! I need to get ready! I have lot of things to do! Nowadays I'm feeling that Kathir is much decent than you in flirtings! I said playfully. He frowned.

Is it so? But I'm flirting only with my wife but he's not! Yet you're comparing me with him. Then that means, I have to flirt with everyone.. Kavin said with a pout and then grinned teasingly.

Don't even dream about that! I'll kill you before you even think that! I said with a frown.

Okay okay wildcat! I also don't wish to die in such a young age by my hot feisty wildcat😉! He said with a wink again!

Kavin! Stop this! Don't disturb me.. I have lot of works and it's getting late! I said taking vermillion and put on my forehead. He stopped me and put it himself on my head partition. I smiled.

So what works you have? Tell me! He demanded.

Uhmm.. I have to preapare coffee, prepare breakfast, pack gifts for pooja and sanju, wear Saree, getting ready, make my lazy husband to get ready fast, watering plan.. Before I could complete, he kissed my cheek. I widened my eyes at him. He smiled sheepishly scratching his back of neck.

You're looking so cute while talking continuously.. what to do? It's not my fault either. He said like a innocent kid. I glared at him but it turned into a blush.

No this will not work out!

Without any choice, I pushed him to washroom to take bath. He finally left. I started draping saree with the help of youtube.

I don't know how to took fleets. And now aththa is not surely woke up as time is just past 6. The function is in 9. So I tried and finally somehow managed.

I heard door clicking sound and he came out from washroom in towel? I closed my eyes immediately with a blush!

Kavin! What is this? Why didn't you wear anything? Idiot! I turned with closing my eyes while yelling at him.

Oyee wildcat! How can I wear dress when you didn't give me chance to take dress and literally pushed me into washroom? And moreover I'm wearing towel okay? He defended.

Haan.. Hann.. Just stop it and wear something! I said till closing my eyes.

You can open your eyes now! I'm dressed! He said making me to open my eyes.

And don't over react! As if you're never gonna see this in future.. He said with a teasing smirk making me gasp.

Kavinnnn!!! You're becoming more and more naughty nowadays! Anyways I'm going to prepare coffee.. If you want coffee, shut your mouth for sometime otherwise the coffee will be poured on your head instead of your mouth!  I yelled at him. He just pouted and winked with teasing smile.

Wait! He said coming towards me.

Kavin what are you doi.. He put his finger on my mouth which gives tingling sensation all over my body.

Shh.. If you walk with this saree, you'll surely will trip somewhere! Let me help you! Saying this he arranged pleats and handed me to wear it. I quickly turned and wore it.

Uhm.. How do you know to drape saree? I askes him my doubt.

You don't know? I learnt this from amma to help nivi in wearing this on our 12th std farewell day! She exactly blushed like you! He said. I smirked.

Ohh! Then next time, I should ask help to Jammie to drape this! You know he's also a expert in this. He even helped me in college culturals! I said with a smirk. He glared me.

What?? I'll kill him!! He said deadly.

Two can play the game hubby😉! I said while winking. He glared then pouted.

You didn't answer my question till now! I asked raising my brow.

I learnt from amma to help her. she broke her hand in a auto rickshaw accident when I was just 18 years old. Ilakya was just 16 then. She didn't know so I helped amma in wearing saree while taking care of her. That's how I learnt this. He said making me smile. I nodded with a smile and left to prepare coffee.

Then after our breakfast, we all headed to her new boutique. The opening was done by little sanju!❤ Then after that, we all went to Pooja's apartment.

Jo and surya didn't come as Surya's amma is not well. But I don't know why Kathir didn't show up till now.  Pooja is hell angry with him.

What the heck is he doing without even coming here today!? Pooja said so annoyed while sitting in her bed.

Elders went to ashta lakshmi temple which is near this location. As being already tired and lazy, we youngsters didn't go. 

Call him Ammu! We'll see what excuse that idiot is going to give today! He has been avoiding us since 2 weeks already! He didn't even come to our home previous weekend when you all came! What he is thinking of himself? Kavin said annoyed. Pooja called him immediately putting the call in speaker. He attended in 5th ring.

Hello.. He said politely.

Haan! Thank god! Atleast you have time to pick my calls! That's a great honor for me! Pooja said sarcastically yearning a cheering pat from anni.

Ammu.. I'm.. I'm sorry.. I.. I didn't come today as I have a important meeting with my manager. I'm really sorry. I'll come in evening. Tell me when are all leaving? He asked so politely.

Why da? To come after we left ryt? Why the hell are you lying stupid? Today is Sunday! Then how the hell your manager held a meeting? What's your problem actually? Kavin sounds more annoyed.

Kavin.. You there? Is it in loud speaker? Who are all there? He asked impatiently and also anxiously.

Everyone is here only! Including mughil machan, ilakya, and MAYA too! Kavin said stressing the word maya which makes me think. I looked at maya whose face is half furious and half guilt and worry! But why???

Oh! That's all he said.

What ohhh! Come here now! Otherwise I'll come there and drag you! What you want? Kavin said.

I.. I have important work! My manager is calling me! I'll call you later.. Bye! Enjoy! Ammu. Don't worry, I'll come in evening! He said and hung up before anyone say something. Kavin sighed irritatedly!

Seriously! What the hell is his problem? Why he is behaving like a jerk? Kavin said running his finger through his hair while looking at maya. Maya bit her nails nervously.

Maya mobile started ringing. She looked at us. Hmm.. My friend kavitha.. Just give me a minute. I'll be right back! She said and went outside when pooja nodded.

Something seems extremely doubtful!

Maya came within 10 minutes and but with a irritated face.

Maya? Are you okay? I asked. She nodded with a weak smile. Within few minutes, she excused herself and went to washroom.

We chit chatted randomly and maya looked worried by something and extremely pale like crying in any moment.

Within about half an hour, we heard the doorbell. Pooja asked maya to open the door saying it may be neighbors who came to congratulate or our parents.

Maya went and there's no sound and no sign of maya too. I excused and went to see who the guest is.

Who's that Maya? I asked while coming to hall. There stands Kathir and Maya. Kathir looks not fine and maya is so pale now.

What happened maya? Are you crying? I asked cupping her cheeks worriedly.

No.. No.. Nothing akka. I'm just worried as today my results are going to come. Just now, I got the news. She reasoned but no! I'm sure its not about the result because she never cared about exams and results.

When? Time? I asked.

Maybe in half an hour. She said. Kathir cleared his throat to get our attention. I totally forgot him seeing Maya's worried face.

Sorry Kathir! I just worried seeing maya pale! And how are you? Long time no see! You already forget me!🙁 I said with a pout.

No kanns! I.. I'm just busy. He said awkwardly.

Okay okay! Now come! Everyone is angry on you including me! I said. He just smiled with a nod and come with us.

Ammu.. I'm sorry.. Really I was busy. So only I didn't come. He said handing a small bouquet of roses to pooja. She is craze for flowers and he used this as a advantage now. Smart guy!

In the meantime, Anni came with water and handed him. He started drinking it.

I think Kathir has committed! That's why he's behaving like this.. Trying to spend time with his love avoiding us. Isn't it Kathir? Anna said and Kathir choked on his drink and started coughing.

Wh.. What are you talking machan! Noth.. Nothing like you think. I'm just busy with my works because of my manager. That's it. He said while coughing and stammering.

Uhmm.. I too thought machan is just joking. But hearing you reply, I guess it's true! Ram said eyeing Kathir suspiciously.

What? How? Kathir asked puzzled.

Because you always take this type of jokes easy and answer like you saw a beautiful girl and proposed her like that. But now you're stammering and also you didn't address your manager with the usual prefix 'dog'. Anni answered instead of Ram.

What are you talking? I'm in no mood for joking okay? I'm already exhausted because of work. I came here just because I don't want to disappoint ammu. Kathir said in serious tone. Everyone looks shocked by his reply. He never behaved like this before. What's with him?!

See! Here no one is worried but little disappointed before you came but now look everyone is shocked and worried by your reply! If you're so exhausted to come here, then why you came? You can come in evening as like you said! No one is asked you to sacrifice your work and time! If you don't want to be here, just go back! Maya said furiously almost with teary eyes.

I'm really sorry! I just had a headache so I acted like that.. I'm really sorry. Kathir said.

Kathir.. You talk with everyone.. I'll prepare coffee for you. Maya come with me! I said trying to change the topic and went dragging Maya with me.

I prepared coffee. Maya didn't utter a word till now thinking something deeply.

What happened between you two? Why did you fight with him? I asked casually. I'm sure something is going on between these two.

Ak.. Akka. What are you saying? Nothing like that. It's just our usual.. usual fighting! She said the last words with much difficulty.

Maya.. What's wrong? I know you! What happened? Can't you share with your kanns? Am I a stranger? I asked softly.

Then we both went to the room and gave coffee to everyone. And I was more than relieved seeing that  they are all chatting normally like nothing happened.

Maya silently sat beside me. Her mobile pinged with notification. She took and tensed more.

What happened vaalu? Why are you so silent and now tensed? What message? Kavin asked.

That.. My results came! She announced.

What! Wowww! Then Today double treat! Kavin said excitedly. 

Don't expect too much machan! Hey kuttychaththan, just tell us how many arrears? Anna teased maya earning a glare from maya.

I know my vaalu will be all clear! Isn't it vaalu? Kavin asked playfully and maya nodded with a smile while twisting her lips at anna. We chuckled.

And Kathir! Ready to lose the challenge Kathir! I said remembering their challenge when Kavin's thatha admitted in hospital.

What challenge? Ram asked.

If maya cleared all papers without arrear, then kathir have to do whatever she says and vice versa! I said observing their faces keenly. They both looked at each other for a moment and averted the gazes.

She checked the results and her face lighten up but that didn't reach her eyes.

What's the result d? How many arrears? Anna asked confidently.

I'm all clear. She said with a small smile.

Wow! So kathir have to do whatever you say! Or to give you whatever you ask! Come on maya! Ask smart! Pooja supported. Maya looked at Kathir who is already looking at her which is almost like a small eye lock.

He can't give what I want! She said calmly which held so many hidden meanings.

No! I'll give whatever you want except one thing! He paused. Everyone looked at him curiously.

Absolutely my heart! He joked causing everyone to roll our eyes.

As if I want it! She said trying to sound intense. His face lowered.

So ask him maya! What is that! Anni cheered.

I want this ring! She asked pointing towards her hand. I remember this ring is given by kavin to her which is Kathir's on our wedding day to enter our home.

But it's already with you. You didn't give me. Then why are you asking my permission now! He asked.

But isn't it Kavin's ring? Ram asked.

No. He took mine as he didn't have money that time. Kathir answered.

I know. But I want it officially mine. I mean you have to give this to me with your consent. Not like I snatched or stole it from you. She said.

Okay. He said after a long longg pause.

Wow! Clever maya! But you should ask him something difficult for him.. But its okay! Let's celebrate! I'll order briyani for lunch! What say? Pooja said. Everyone nodded with a grin.

Wait kanns! It's our engagement ring ryt? You're wearing it till now? Ram asked suddenly seeing my hand. Oops! I just wore it because i love the design.

What???? Kavin exclaimed. I smiled sheepishly.

It's just I love that design that's why😁! I said.

But Kavin! You're also wearing our engagement ring! Isn't it? Pooja said making me frown and glare at him. Now he smiled sheepishly.

I too love the design.😁 He said.

What's this? Two of you took that rings! Exchange it now! Today we'll celebrate your engagement too.. Anna said. We both took off our rings and exchanged it. Everyone cheered which made us blush.
