Bella's POV:

Luckily, he was explaining his side and I was listening to him tentatively.

Until a big hand engulfed mine and turn me over.

I was shocked and felt unfamiliar with the guy. He smiled widely while waving on my face.

"Bella? " he asked in excitement as I nodded a little.

Who's this guy and he kind of look familiar but I don't get how.

"I'm Liam. Liam Helsey. " he confirmed as he scanned my confused face and that when, the character revealed.

He's alive. Like seriously, Liam.

He is the youngest in the Helsey's and as well as William's brother.

"Liam....your ali-- " I was about to murmur the word and he cut me off with a soundful laugh.

"Hey, don't tell me that I'm not alive. I just....left this place since I went to boarding lol. " he explained and he gave me that toothy smile.

I thought...I thought that he wasn't alive. William said so though.

But, I couldn't believe my own eyes.

"Bella. How are you? " Liam asked as his hand squeezed my hand a bit while I was dozing off in thoughts.

He is right infront me. How mean is William to let us know that his own brother was dead. Even their parents was like mine to Liam. William is the apple of their eyes and that made Liam to get into so much troubles.

He got suspended so many times in highschool and finally, he went disappear. I'm the only one who knew in highschool that he was dead since William let our both parents know the news.

I grieved involuntarily because Liam was the total opposite of William. He would stood up for me towards his own brother and I knew that he hated his brother too.

"I-I'm fine. How are you?" I replied while blushing when I saw him staring me deeply.

"I'm good. I'm glad that I make it up this time. Luckily, your parents had found me and insist me on joining the party, otherwise I won't get to meet you. " he said with a wide smile.

"It's been 10 years since we met, Bella and you...grew up to be beautiful. " he hushed the last word and that surprisingly made me smile.

His a long lost good friend and I don't know how couldn't I recognise this guy.

Who knows that he will be this gorgeous in those dim green eyes and black silky hair.

He was tracing my feature, hair to toe and my whole body became pink from blushing.

Soon, I found him pulling away his attention from me to avert it towards my parents and his hand loosely travelled around my waist, pulling me closer to his body.

I was shocked and I nearly gulped down my own saliva loudly. When I finally gave in about the idea to how to release myself, I caught my eyes finding Noah. He was no longer with my parents and my eyes wandered around for him.

My parents were so close to Liam as they treated him very good. I don't know what they are up to by calling Liam to the gathering this time. I think, the Hesley's never meet Liam yet because he won't be so carefree around if he had met them.

My mind went back to Noah, now where's he?

I was about to walk around to find him among the people but Liam stopped me in track.

He blocked my way playfully while smiling innocently.

Well, that was a gorgeous smile.

"Where are you...going? " he asked in a rough kind of voice and I nearly gasped at his eyes darkening.

Don't tell me that he is lusting over me? Because I've to join the marathon now.

"Urmm...just to f-find my friend here. " I confessed while stuttering of course. I still couldn't believe my eyes that he is right here.

"Your not here alone, then. So, where's your friend? " he asked then roamed his eyes around.

"I-I don't know. He must be here somewhere. " I said hesitatingly and his eyes looked me with something odd.

"He? So...the friend is a he? " he asked in a low tone as he nodded to himself.

"You get here with him? " he questioned me again and I nodded.

"Is he's...some kind of boyfriend? " he questioned slowly and I looked up at his eyes.

I don't know why I couldn't say no instantly but I didn't agree either.

"Bella. It's okay...he was too lucky to have you as his girlfriend. I'm just happy for you. " he informed as he thought that my silence was a yes for him.

"No, Liam...that he, isn't my boyfriend. " I answered expectingly because I don't want him to go over and confuse my parents more.

I don't even know how did their conversation with Noah went and I couldn't judge it correctly.

Liam's face turned into a lit up bulb as I said this.

"Alright, then...give me your number? We have lots to catch up. " he teased with a smirk and I smiled at him.

Maybe, it won't be that bad for me to maintain a good name from him. At least, he won't complain anything about me to my parents. Like William did before and my parents were all by his side.

So, I quickly slipped in my number in his already extended handphone and he happily chuckled while saving my contact.

"Liam...my son, how are you? " Mrs Helsey came up from nowhere and Liam was already tensed. Soon, Mr Helsey joined and they shared this cold stares.

Later, I saw William walking up to us and my eyes nearly popped out as I noticed his bruised up face. Well, it won't be a good idea if he caught me here.

I should leave, asap.

But, I can't leave without Noah. I couldn't ditch him in here.

So, I roamed everywhere. Looking for this man.

Did he left? Don't he inform me? At least, he could message me but no. I received nothing.

I was still searching for him and that when my eyes caught this huge muscled figure along the patio.

He was standing there, under the bright moon light. Looking terribly handsome with his disheveled hair and hands in his pocket.

I was walking closer to his figure and I could saw his jaw clenching in anger.

God, what make him mad here? Is it my parents? Do they said something bad to him?

I was a feet away and he didn't caught me beside him as he was to busy glancing at the dark blue sky.

"Noah. What are you doing here? " I asked in anticipation to get the answer because if it's my parents then I'm all ready to apologize to him right now.

His eyes snapped at me and he avoided to eye me as if he's refusing to see me.

"Noah....we need to leave. " I told him, remembering the original reason why I had came up to him and he looked me unwillingly.

"Your lover boy doesn't give you a ride? " he asked as he laughed mockingly.

"W-Who's that? " I questioned, unknowing about who was he mentioning right now.

Silence. He never answered me but refused to see me. His breath heaving in seconds and with a sigh, he walked past me.

He stomped away from the patio and was already leaving the backyard. I quickly walked up behind him to catch up on his steps while successfully avoiding from getting caught with my parents neither the Helsey's.

We were near the car and he never open my door for me like earlier but just went to his side. He was angry but I don't know in which way it connects me.

Why was he giving me cold shoulders?

I stepped into the car and he sped away.

His eyes were cold and serious while it focused only on the road.

"Do I did anything...wrong? " I asked and there's this cold stare from him. I shivered inwardly and quit expecting answer.

The surrounding felt so thicken and I wasn't enjoying this silence.

There's this ding in my handphone that awaken the silence and it was a message from an unknown number.

Hey, beautiful! Im leaving d party nw and whr r u?

I know straight away that it's from Liam and I replied him that I already left.

U nvr inform me?! And here I thought tht we would catch up if ur here now.

He replied with a sad emoji and I smiled a little. I replied a, I'm sorry, and told him that I have to get back home sooner.

Alrite. So, promise me tht this catch up thg will be scheduled some time sooner or else, i wud come over ur house to kidnap u so tht I cud get to know u.

He bluntly replied and I gasped a little while a smile portrayed my lips. I said a, fine, and he replied me a good night greeting, where I replied the same in return.

"Who's that? You were smiling like crazy since just now. " Noah snapped as his eyes looked me now and then while driving.

"It's just Liam. " I simply answered, wondering about why was he asking me this.

His hand tighten around the steering wheel and another was in a balled fist.

"And, who's he actually? " he questioned through gritted teeth and I trembled in fear, of his upcoming outcomes.

I don't want him to hurt himself again.

I was about to answer him with a sort of confrontation but he quickly cut me off.

"No. On the second thought, don't answer me that. " he said through anger radiating his beautiful face and I remained statue for the rest of our ride.

He accelerated the car into an ultimate speed with multiple of cars honks and screeches heard. I clinged to the seat belt tightly and was nearly shaking at the speed he was going.

Hopefully, we had made to my place safely and he never bothered to utter a word while he simply took off as lightning.
