Summary: as Coulson's daughter, you get invites to Tony Stark's lavish parties. Normally, you don't go, but Daisy has been begging to go for months, so you finally take up the offer.

''Are you sure Stark won't mind me tagging along?'' Daisy's voice was full off nerves and her eyes jumped around the elevator, too restless to focus.

You turned to her. ''The invitation literally said: bring a plus one.''

As Coulson's daughter, you had met the Avengers numerous amounts of times. Some a couple more times than others, but they knew you and you knew them. So while you were always a little jittery, you didn't feel the anxiety and nerves Daisy was feeling in the moment. She was fiddling with her necklace and hair and constantly checked if her dress sat right.

She looked absolutely gorgeous and you had trouble keeping your eyes off of her. Actually, she was really distracting and you hoped you wouldn't embarrass yourself because of it.

When Daisy reached up to fix her hair for the hundreth time, you caught her hand and held it in your own, squeezing it reasurringly. ''Babe, stop figgeting, you look beautiful.''

Daisy relaxed her body and took a deep breath. ''I know, I'm just... it's the Avengers.'' She put emphasis on the last word as if she was talking about some kind of higher being.

''So?'' you chuckled, seeing her starstruck gaze.

''So?'' Daisy asked in disbelief, not understanding how you could be so calm. ''They're like, literal superheroes.''

''So are you,'' you reminded her, suppressing a smile when Daisy realized you were right. ''Just relax, they are all very nice.''

You two stepped out of the elevator as it stopped on the right floor. The amount of people there didn't surprise you. Stark liked large parties and wasn't one to keep things casual.

With your hand still intertwined with Daisy's, you pulled her into the crowd, looking for the host himself. However, he was the one to find you.

''Coulson junior! Look who finally accepted my invitation!'' Tony yelled loud enough for almost everyone present to hear.

You threw him a glare when people started watching, but he didn't even notice it.

''That was more to get this one to finally shut up,'' you replied, nodding towards the woman next to you.

Daisy sent you her own glare for embarrassing her in front of Stark.

''So you are the famous Quake,'' Stark spoke, looking Daisy up and down in an analyzing kind of way, almost as if he was unsure a small, normal woman like her was the well-known superhero.

''Daisy,'' she corrected him. Daisy didn't like people seeing her as this superhero persona only. She was Daisy Johnson first, Quake second.

''Right. Daisy. Are you treating junior right? Taking her on dates, satisfying her, that sort of thing?''

Your mouth dropped open in shock. This was typical Stark, making the most inappropriate jokes ever. ''O my god, Stark.'' You looked around in a panic as Daisy was laughing next to you. Apparently, she found it very funny just like Tony himself. ''Okay let's get out of here.''

''Because she has a bunch of superheroes behind her who won't hesitate to kick your ass!'' Tony called after you as you pulled Daisy towards the bar, trying to hide the redness on your cheeks. You could still feel her laughing behind you, which alerted Natasha of your arrival at the bar.

She stood behind it, making a very complicated looking drink for herself. She looked up at Daisy's giggling, a smile forming on her face as she finally saw you brought your girlfriend you had been telling her about.

''Hey Nat,'' you mumbled to her, trying to keep her from seeing the red on your cheeks. But nobody could fool Natasha Romanoff. She smiled knowingly, starting to prepare drinks for you and Daisy.

''Hey Y/N,'' she smirked back. ''Who's your friend?''

You threw her a look for acting as if she didn't know who Daisy was. You gestured from your girlfriend to the redhead and back. ''Daisy, Natasha. Natasha, Daisy.''

''So you're the girlfriend,'' Natasha stated, looking Daisy up and down in the same way Stark had done earlier. You wanted to punch her for being so dramatic and protective. ''You know, Y/N talks about you all the time.'' Natasha winked at Daisy as she put her drink down in front of her.

''Really?'' Daisy smirked, turning to you. ''I did not know that. Good things, I hope?'' She asked Natasha, who was enjoying embarrassing you.

''I regret coming here,'' you muttered under your breath, just loud enough for the others to hear. ''I'm out of here,'' you announced, picking up your drink and standing from the barstool you sat on, leaving behind the laughter. Maybe the Avengers had some sort of complot to embarrass you today. You were going to find Steve or Bruce, knowing they weren't so mean.

You heard Daisy's heels clicking on the floor behind you just before you heard her soft voice in your ear. ''You know, I really like it when you get all embarrassed.''

Her breath sent shivers down your spine but you just ignored them. ''Yeah? Well I don't.''

Before she could say more, you saw Steve and Bruce chatting to each other in a quiet corner and hurried over. ''Steve, Bruce,'' you greeted them, shamelessly interrupting their conversation.

Bruce nodded in hello. He wasn't a social person and you respected that.

''Y/N, good to see you again,'' Steve said politely, a kind smile on his face. He was ever the gentleman. His eyes shot to Daisy and upon not recognizing her, looked back at you. ''I see you brought a friend.''

''Daisy this is Steve. Steve this is Daisy, my girlfriend,'' you added.

Obviously, Steve knew you had a girlfriend, but his eyes widened a bit when he realized the brunette woman next to you was actually the one you had been telling him about.

''It's nice to finally meet you, Daisy.'' Steve shook her hand. ''Y/N has been telling us a lot about you.''

His comment wasn't meant teasingly like Natasha's, so you let it slide for now.

You saw how starstruck Daisy was, her cheeks all flustered and stuttering over her words. Like you had expected, she started rambling. ''Thank you so much for inviting me. I mean her. I just tagged along. Which I hope you don't mind. It's just- I've been dying to meet all of you.''

You had to hold back your laugh as Steve just stared at her with that kind smile, waiting for her to collect herself and stop rambling. How the tables have turned.

''Well, I hope you enjoy the party. I'm sure it won't be because of the lack of preparation on Stark's side.''

''I will. Enjoy the party I mean. Okay let's go babe.'' Daisy grabbed your hand and dragged you away from the two men, who stared at you weirdly. You sent them an apologetic smile over your shoulder as you tried not to stumble over your feet.

Out of their sight, somewhere in another quiet corner, she stopped walking and dropped down into a chair, burying her head in her hands.

''What the hell was that,'' you laughed.

''I just embarrassed myself in front of Steve Rogers. I can never present myself here again.'' Daisy's voice was muffled by her hands.

You chuckled, patting her head in comfort. ''He's chill with it. He gets that a lot, trust me.'' As an answer, Daisy just groaned which only caused you to laugh harder. ''You want to go and find Clint and Thor or do you need to calm down for an hour?''

''What I need is to dissolve into nothingness.''

''You're so dramatic.'' You pulled her hands away from her face and pulled her to her feet. You pushed some hair behind her hair, completely distracting her from her embarrassment, and pulled her back into the party. ''You begged me to take you to this party so we are going to dance and drink until the bar is empty.''

''Sounds like a plan,'' Daisy chuckled, having completely forgotten the reason for her red cheeks.

You mingled with the crowd, dancing until the room started spinning from either exhaustion or drunkenness and Natasha had to call a very amused Coulson to come pick you up.

He just thanked her and guided you towards the car, smiling at your stumbling and drunk rambling. He was happy his daughter had let loose for a night and that Daisy was the biggest reason you had been so happy lately.
