Alice in Wonderland Twist!! Some things are different from it so don't freak out!

Kaede dreaded going to the upcoming ball. She didn't want to meet her future husband, odd as it was. For she did not even know the man. She was tied up, wrist to wrist. An arranged marriage it was to be.

She hated it with every bone in her body.

She only met him once and even then, she did not like him. He was snotty, nose in the air like a proud king. Flaunting around his so he called it, "greatness."

She sighed and lay on her bed, not even facing the beautiful light pink and black gown she was to wear.

Mother was insistent she went to the ball. Of course she was, she wanted to see the relationship blossom. But the relationship was dead as wilted lavender.

Kaede touched the dress, for it was made of the finest materials. It was quite a pretty dress, but she didn't want him to see it.

He wasn't even her soulmate, which was imprinted on her wrist.

Ouma Kokichi

What an odd name. But she longed to meet him. For she wanted a true relationship, not one which she was forced into.

She changed into the dress, huffing in anger all the while.

She looked at herself in the mirror. For she was a lovely maiden. Golden blonde locks flowing down with light gorgeous skin.

Her dress was lovely and fine. But Kaede desperately wanted to changed back into a shirt.

She opened the door, the slightly cold air made her shiver.

Down the hall, she could see the maids getting ready for the event. Stacks and piles of dishes they were carrying, and the occasional vase of flowers.

Her favorite maid, Kirumi appeared before her.

"Kaede! Finally! We must get you out to the ballroom at once!"

"Out?"

"Well yes! They are deciding to hold the ball outside. For it is a lovely day they say! Go go! Hurry! You mustn't be late!" She pushed her towards the doors.

"Alright alright! I'm going!" Kaede took a deep breath and pushed open the doors.

There were many guests. All of different shapes and sizes. They were all nobles, as you can see from their expensive clothing.

But all Kaede could see was...boring.

Normal. Boring. She could never see the..uniqueness in them. All they wanted was riches and fame. Nothing less.

Speaking of normal and boring, for she saw her future husband, gossiping with the others.

She snuck towards him, making sure he couldn't see her.

She blended in with the crowd until she snuck behind him, listening in to his words.

"She seems so graceful and nice!"

"Pah! Kaede? For she is just a weirdo girl I have to marry. Good thing she has beauty and money. It's the only thing that really counts."

Kaede grew angry. How dare he?

"Ahem." She coughed loudly.

The man widened his eyes and he turned around. But he couldn't express his surprise, for Kaede's hand was too fast for that.

The whole crowd gasped, the silence lingering in the air.

"How dare you! Gossiping behind my back! We are supposed to be married and all you think about is looks and money?? You are a disgrace!" Kaede yelled.

The man gritted his teeth and clenched his fists.

"Kaede! How dare you talk to your future husband like that! You should know better!" Her mom came up, stomping her feet. "He has been nothing but kind to you and you return it with a slap?"

Kaede's face grew red. "H-how dare you mother? He said he didn't care about me! You..never treated me like a daughter! All you have done is lead me into where I am to be chained. Forever bound to this man who knows not of love!" After she said that, Kaede stormed off.

She ran off to the forest. Where she didn't have to face her mother and her fiancé.

Even calling him her fiancé made Kaede cringe.

She sighed, sitting on a log. She needed to calm down. She was just so fed up with life.

Suddenly, a flash of white crosses her vision. It looked like an animal. Was it? Kaede stood up to investigate, following the creature.

She soon realized it was a rabbit. And odd looking rabbit. For he had a little watch and glasses.

She could hear him speak.

"Oh I mustn't be late! I mustn't be late!"

Before she could ask the timely rabbit where's he was going, she felt her weight shift.

She was falling.

She couldn't even shout, for she was too shocked.

What is happening?!

She landed.

She was still alive.

She was in a weird room. Surrounded by many different doors with a key in the middle of the room, surrounded by shiny glass, reflecting onto the walls.

Kaede approached the key.

She set the glass cover on the floor and took the key.

It was a rusted gold key with markings of a language she didn't understand.

Kaede looked at the different doors.

"Which one shall I pick?"

Every door looked plain and boring. With the same design on each one. So it was a surprise to her when her eyes landed on a different door, one with 3 pink hearts on the top with a gold handle.

That looks interesting. Let's try that door.

The key slid into the lock like butter. As she turned, the door unlocked. She grasped the door handle and walked inside.

A whole new world was behind the door.

Kaede was surrounded by blue grass and trees with weird red markings. Like little lightning bolts but sideways. The trees also had pink leaves.

"What a weird landscape." Kaede said out loud. For it was odd, she liked the change of scenery.

Kaede immediately heard a purring sound and leaves rustling.

She looked around. "Who's there?"

"Mrowww the Cheshire Cat of course." A figure dropped down, so fast not even Kaede could notice right away.

When he landed, Kaede could see the figure.

It was a boy with dark purple hair and gray cat ears. He wore a checkered scarf and odd clothing.

"Excuse me um..have you seen a rabbit around? He's kinda my guide."

"Guide you say?? Ohoho I call them lunch." He licked his lips.

Kaede sighed. "Look, I got lost and fell down a hole and then I picked a door and then..well I'm here." She looked at her surroundings.

"Hmm. Curiouser and curiouser. You are an interesting one...miss?"

"Kaede. If you would please."

"Ah. Kaedeeee." The cat purred.

"My name is Ouma. But I usually go by the Cheshire Cat. Cause I'm..unique."

"Crazy?"

"Precisely madam."

"So you haven't seen a white rabbit?"

"Maybe. Maybe not." Ouma gave a devilish grin.

Kaede sighed. "Fine. Whatever. I'll go find the rabbi myself. Good day..Ouma." Kaede walked off, leaving the Cheshire Cat all alone.

Hmm..for some reason I want to follow her...why? Ah..yes...it's..uh..because..I'm curious..that's it.

Ouma smiled and disappeared.

Kaede was out of the forest, seeing a vast pink landscape.

"Pink? Odd choice for grass."

She grew curiouser and curiouser as she walked along.

Eventually, she saw a random table in the middle of the moor, with decoration and food.

There were two sitting there. One a man with a crazy top hat and one small. Very small. A mouse, you could say.

"Um hello?"

The man with the hat didn't look up. For he was stacking cards, trying to make a castle.

"Um..."

When he was done, he looked proud of his creation, and then he punched it, causing the cards to fly around wildly.

"That is why cards shall never be stacked." The man said.

The mouse nodded.

"Um hello there?"

"No time no time no time! Can't be late!" Kaede recognized the rabbit from before. The same white bushy tail and fur.

"Good to see you here White Rabbit."

"Good to see you here as well mad hatter." The bunny bowed.

"Excuse me? Hello?" Kaede tried again.

"I'm sorry White Rabbit. This human has been pestering me since you got here. Please excuse me." He tipped his hat, which spilled out bubbles.

Kaede had never seen such a thing, and it had her amazed.

"Well hello human. What is your business with our lovely tea party?" He asked.

"Um hello. I'm Kaede. I..followed the rabbit. That rabbit." She pointed towards the bunny. "And found myself falling down to a room with doors. Then I used the key to open one of the doors which led me here. Do you know a way back?"

"A rabbit? A door? A key? This realm? Oh my. You have really gotten yourself into a cucumber."

"I..think you mean a pickle?"

"I certainly was not mean to a pickle. How could you accuse me of such a thing?"

"No-I"

"I'm just going back to the tea party. My name is Nagito. But you may call me Mad Hatter. Good day madam." He sat back in his seat.

Kaede sighed, walking away.

"Wait now! I didn't say you could leave. You obviously need to join the tea party. Some folks couldn't make it."

"Um..alright then." Kaede sat down. The seats were quite comfortable surprisingly.

"So..Mr.Hatter..."

"It's mad hatter ma'm."

"Oh..um mad hatter..where am I exactly?"

"Where are you indeed Kaede? Only you can tell."

"No. What is this place called?"

"Oh it's called Danganland. Ruled by the lovely..no so lovely..Junko Enoshima."

"So she is not of your liking?"

"It is on and off so."

"Ok?"

"We should obviously introduce you to my friend here." Nagito pointed to the mouse.

"This is my good friend Saihara." The mouse waved.

"Hello madam!" He squeaked.

"Well hello Saihara. Nice to meet you."

"Same here m'lady!" He smiled.

Kaede chuckled, never has she had the pleasure of knowing a polite mouse before. It was intriguing.

"Hello guys! Sorry I'm late!" A huge bear came and sat down next to the mouse.

"Hey Gonta." Saihara squeaked.

"Hey Saihara! Hello Mad Hatter! Hello White Rabbit! Hello...?" Gonta tilted his head at Kaede.

"It's Kaede if you please."

"Ah lovely name. My name is Gonta. You can call me Gentle Giant. For that is what I am."

"I can see that." Kaede smiled.

The Mad Hatter started to pour tea out of his hat but the galloping of a horse made the table jump.

The man on the horse looked regal.

"What are you commoners doing here? Having a picnic? Pathetic." He looked at Kaede in surprise, getting off his steed.

"Well well well. We have someone here who is worth my time." He beckoned Kaede to come forward. And she did so.

"Yes?"

"What is your name m'lady?"

"Kaede."

"Kaede. Beautiful such as your appearance."

"Your name sir?"

"Korekiyo. But you can call me-"

"Mask face?" The Mad Hatter burst out laughing.

Korekiyo rolled his eyes. "I was going to say Kiyo but obviously this one had another name in mind." He glared at the Hatter who was still laughing his hat off.

"Well..Korekiyo..let me give you a summary of what happened." Kaede continued to explain her tale of arrival.

"Well..it seems you are in deep trouble m'lady. Let me help you."

"Not so fast!" A voice reverberated throughout the moor.

End of part one.
