(1st Person PoV: Kuro's)

Ok...now where do I start?

This may sound unbelievable but ever thought of people out there who are the closest thing to super human beings?

People who have skills that go beyond the average Joe. Skills called Ultimates.

They can be Ultimates at baseball, singing, writing and such and such.

Now imagine a school for people to hone their skills.

That school is called Sora Academy and it was said to have been founded by an ultimate pilot hence the name Sora meaning Sky in Japanese.

There are some requirements in order to enter.

One, you have to be already enrolled in high school. Two, you have to be the best of the best in your field. Three, you need to be either recommended in or recognize by the superiors up there.

Or!

You drop in your file and they will look it over to determine whether you should enter or not.

Some got lucky while others...not so much.

The number of freshmen is different depending on year but this year, the number of freshmen is sixteen.

Not a bad number honestly.

I heard that there was going to be an Ultimate Director this year. And an Ultimate Comedian!

There's even going to be an Ultimate Fashion Icon enrolling this year.

I'm not much into fashion but my little sister was excited to hear that. She may be a good Ultimate one day.

Although there were two talents that confused me.

Ultimate Mastermind and Ultimate Insert.

There was vague information on the forums but nothing bad I hope.

A lot of musical talents as well.

Ah but you must be wondering who am I and why do I sound like I'm going to be with these Ultimate students.

Well...

Because I am also an Ultimate Student.

Wait...

Doesn't this story sound...

F   A   M   I   L   A   R ? ? ? ?

...

I woke up in a chair, my back feeling uncomfortable.

Where am I? I thought.

I looked around to see if I could spot anything that seemed useful or at least familiar.

Nothing.

Damn, I thought.

Whack!

"Ow," I whimpered as something or someone whacked me on the back of my head.

"Get up," they said coldly.

I looked up to see a person with a hatchet tucked in on their side.

I got up from the chair and looked at him closely.

He was staring at the door, looking like he wanted to kick it down.

Why didn't I notice that door before? I wondered.

"Hey!"

I flinched as the guy turned around to face me.

"Can you check if that door is locked or not?" He asked.

Why don't you check it yourself, I thought.

Out loud, I said, "...ok."

I walked over to the door and turned the knob.

Creak...

It was unlocked the whole time!

I totally didn't think that this would happen, I thought sarcastically.

Why couldn't he open the door himself?

"So it was unlocked," the guy said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah," I nodded.

I suddenly felt awkward being in the same room as this guy. It was just so...

Quiet, you get what I'm saying.

He then proceeded to walk out the door, leaving me behind.

"H-hey wait up," I yelped, jogging after him.

Didn't know why I had to run when I could just speed walk. He just walked a few steps away from me.

"It's quiet. Too quiet," I heard him mutter.

"Are we the only ones here?" I asked, almost like a whisper to him.

"No I don't think so. There's probably some others out there," he said.

"Th-then maybe we can go look for them. It's better if we're in a group," I explained.

"..."

There he goes with the silent treatment, I thought while folding my arms.

"..."

Ok he's leaving me alone with my thoughts. I hate this. Please just reply to what I said before!

I'm not a needy person but honestly if I was alone in wherever the hell are we right now with one person, the best they could do is agree or disagree with what I say.

I'm not asking for too much am I?

I hope not!

There I go rambling in my inner monologue again.

"Sure. I think it's best to go with what you said," he finally spoke up.

'Finally! What took you so long,' I thought.

"I was thinking about the best course of action for right now," he replied.

"Sh*t! Did I say that out loud?" I asked, timidly and he nodded.

Well there goes my first impression, I thought.

"Let's go," the guy began to walk away towards some light.

"Ok," I followed him.

"I'm Kaoro Tanaka by the way. What about you?" he asked.

"Kuro...Kuro Tamashi," I said.

A/N: how long has it been since I made this and closed the fic?

Like at least three months? Four? Five?!

Sorry for this extremely long wait. I had things to do and other books that I ended up gaining motivation over.

Short chapter but hopefully the next one is longer.

Hope you enjoyed this short chapter.
