Danny sniffled again and wiped away the tears that dropped on the picture. Everyone else would be at lunch, no doubt wondering where the hell he was at and what happened during the sports festival.

He was alone in his and Aizawa's apartment, in the cupboard and holding a picture of his family. He missed them so much. He hadn't seen Jazz since he left, he wondered if she even knew what happened.

He always wondered what would happen if they found out about his quirk, but he never truly expected them to disown him.

Aizawa was reluctant to let him stay home alone, especially after everything that happened. Danny reassured him with a promise to text him every once in awhile to let him know he was okay.

Only he wasn't.

He wasn't sure he would ever be okay, his own mother threatened to shoot him if he ever went near her family again. His father didn't say anything, but the look of betrayal and devastation said enough.

He felt another pang of sadness when he thought of Sam and Tucker, of his friends back in Amity. He would never be able to see them again, he would never get to make jokes and play video games with Tucker nor would he be able to prank people with Sam. His mom made it very clear what would happen if he ever stepped foot in Amity Park again.

He shuddered at the thought.

"Why the fuck are we here again" Bakugou asked once they arrived at the apartment complex.

"Because we gotta make sure our bro is okay" Kirishima said, marching up the stairs.

"I'm fucking leaving" The angry blonde turned away only to be pulled back by Mina.

"Don't leave! What's the bakusquad without our angry Pomeranian?"

Bakugous eye twitched.
"What the hell did you just call me!?"

Luckily, before he could say anything else a new voice interrupted.

"Oh, are you guys here to check on Danny Kun as well?"

Kirishima turned around and sent a grin towards Izuku, Iida, and Ochako. Bakugou groaned, annoyed and shoved past Kirishima to start making his way up the stairs. Everyone else began following him.

"The Pomeranian is even more angry now" Kaminari whispered to Sero, who in reply burst into gut wrenching laughter.

"Shut up! Idiots" Bakugou yelled as they reached a new set of stairs.

"I don't understand why he is so angry, all we are doing is checking on a fellow classmate and friend" Iida said.

"It's because he is secretly concerned but doesn't want anyone to know" Mina 'whispered', purposefully loud so Bakugou would hear. He gave her a death glare.

"Here it is!" Kirishima grinned, pointing to the apartments door belonging to Danny and Aizawa.

"Maybe we should of asked Aizawa Sensei before coming here... it is his house too and it's not like we told Danny we were coming" Ochako said.

"The dumbass posted his address in the group chat, it's his own fault" Bakugou knocked angrily on the door.

Sero pondered for a moment before squinting his eyes in confusion.
"Why'd he do that again?"

"He wanted somebody to bring him muffins since he was grounded at the time" Kirishima explained.

After a few minutes, Bakugou knocked again, this time harder.
"OI! DUMBASS I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE! OPEN UP OR WE'RE BREAKING IN!"

Another minute passed before Bakugou kicked the door down, causing everyone else to pale.
"You just broke Aizawa Sensei's door!" Iida shouted.

"Dude Aizawa Sensei is gonna kill us" Kaminari turned to run away only to be pulled back by Mina.

Kirishima walked inside.
"Danny? Bro where you at?"

Everyone else walked inside after him.
"Maybe he's not here?" Ochako broke through everyone's silence as they searched.

They were about to agree before they heard sniffling coming from the kitchen causing everyone to freeze.
"Is that crying?" Izuku walked closer towards the kitchen.

They walked inside only to find it empty. They heard it again and looked to see that it was coming from one of the cupboards. Bakugou marched over only to be stopped by Mina.

She ignored Bakugous glare and spoke in a whisper voice.
"Lets let Kirishima handle this, he's the closest to Danny"

Everyone, including Bakugou, backed out of the kitchen and into the living room. They were still close enough to hear the conversation.

Kirishima knocked on the cupboard door.
"Hey bro, are you okay?" He asked. It was quiet on the other end until the cupboard door slowly opened, revealing a very tired looking Danny. He looked as if he'd been crying for awhile.

"Yeah" Danny replied. However the tone of his voice and his appearance told otherwise. Danny made no move of getting out of the cupboard so Kirishima did the next best thing.

He opened the other cupboard door connected to Danny's and crawled inside. He wasn't as small or flexible as his friend, but he still managed.

Danny scooter over a bit to make more room. The two sat in silence for a bit before Kirishima looked over at the picture in Danny's hands.
"Who're they? Are they your family?"

Danny's breath hitched and Kirishima's eyes widened. That was not the right thing to say, apparently. Danny cleared his throat before speaking.
"I uh... I don't really know to-to be honest"

Kirishima looked at him in confusion.
"Are they part of the reason why you're so upset? And why you left the sports festival early? You don't gotta respond if you don't want to, bro" Kirishima added the last part when he saw Danny's sad expression.

Danny slowly nodded after awhile. He wiped his his eyes clear of any tears before speaking once more.
"They didn't know about my ghost quirk, I didn't want to tell them because of their profession"

Kirishima's eyes widened, everyone knew Danny's parents were ghost hunters but they thought they already knew about Danny's quirk and had no issues with it. He thought back to the sports festival and how nervous Danny had been the entire time, he wasn't nervous about the competition, he was nervous about his family.

Danny looked up at Kirishima with a sad smile, trying not to act like he had been crying his heart out for the past day and a half.
"They didn't react very well"

Kirishima watched with a sad expression when Danny's smile broke and a few tears slipped out. He tried his best to wipe them away but his attempt was futile when more appeared.
"Sorry, I'm not being very 'manly' right now aren't I?" Danny tried to joke.

Kirishima pulled him in for a bro hug.
"Nah, crying is the manliest thing someone can do"

Everyone else in the living room stood in shock, even Bakugou. He was very pissed off at the ghostly teen when he noticed he had barely been using his quirk during the festival. He thought it was because Danny thought he was better than everyone else to even bother using his quirk at full potential. He had been even more pissed off when he saw Danny run off after his victory.

Now that anger was directed towards his family.

Ochako was very upset and confused. She was upset because Danny's family didn't react well to his quirk but was also confused on how Danny managed to hide it from them for so long. She also wondered what his family did once they found out, she could tell it wasn't good.

Iida was concerned for his classmate and friend, he had admired Danny for his bravery and his kindness and didn't like seeing him so distraught.

Izuku, however, wasn't as surprised. He noticed Danny sending nervous glances towards the audience and how he had been discreetly using his quirk, like he had been hiding it. At first he thought it was because he was nervous about the size of the audience but now that he learned the truth it made much more sense.

"I wasn't expecting this" Kaminari said, breaking everyone out of their thoughts. Sero nodded in agreement.

"Me neither, but it makes sense now. Danny can be extremely competitive and would of kicked our butts if something hadn't been holding him back" Mina said.

At least fifteen minutes went by before Kirishima walked out of the kitchen followed by Danny. He looked better than when Kirishima first saw him, he no longer looked as if he had been crying and he was smiling slightly.

"Hey guys" Danny waved. He was immediately engulfed in a hug by Mina and Ochako.

"Are you okay?" Ochako asked, concerned.

Danny nodded before looking over at the door, surprised to see it barely hanging on by its hinges.
"Why is our door broken?" He asked.

Everyone pointed towards Bakugou who shrugged.
"You didn't answer"

"I could of been gone!"

"Well you weren't"

"Y-Your parents disowned you?" Izuku whispered in surprise. Everyone sat near the ghost teen who explained to them what had happened exactly.

"Yeah... but at least I have cranky cat m- I mean Aizawa" Danny said.

"And us!" Kaminari said, everyone nodded in agreement.

"Really?" Danny asked.

"Of course bro, you're our friend!" Kirishima grinned.

Danny smiled at them.
"Thanks guys"

"No need to thank us, Danny kun. We'd be there for you no matter what, you're apart of our family" Izuku said.

Danny's eyes slightly widened before another smile appeared.

Aizawa stared at the scene with a smile on his face.

Kaminari and Sero were sprawled across the furniture, mouths wide open. There were drawings all over their faces and drool was slowly dripping from their mouths.

Kirishima was on the ground, dead asleep while holding a black sharpie. Danny was curled up between Iida and Izuku, Boo sleeping on his face while Spooky was draped across all three of them.

Ochako and Mina were laying on the ground a few feet away. Bakugou was sleeping on the other couch, arms crossed and a pillow in his hand like he fell asleep before he could hit someone with it.

He was thankful that they had managed to get Danny out of his cupboard. He could tell Danny was feeling much better since his parents had disowned him.

He'd scold them later for his broken door.
