Sierra

Sierra was dreaming.

Only this was different. It didn't feel like a dream.

Unfortunately, Sierra knew what it was. A vision of the future, like my mom's....death.

Sierra immediately began to panic. She could feel her heart beating erratically. Sierra had to calm down to focus on the vision.

Sierra was in the woods. It looked like she was searching for something. She was wearing armor and she had the weapon and shield Annabeth designed for her.

Then, two girls appeared. They looked like twins, with chocolate brown skin and blue eyes. Sierra saw that one of the girls was unconscious and had a really bad cut on her head, going over her eye. The other girl had her sister's arm over her shoulder and dragged her into the woods.

Sierra in the vision yelled something, then ran and helped the girl. Then, a hellhound tore through the vision.

Sierra woke to Will shaking her.

Will actually scared the crap out of her, so she screamed.

"God, Will, what the hell is wrong with you?!" She yelled. "Do i need to punch you again?!"

Will, for once, didn't look irritated. "You were having a seizure, Sierra!"

Sierra's blood turned to ice. "What?" She rasped, puzzled. She then realized her hands and body were trembling badly.

Will got Sierra on her feet, but she almost fell over on her trembling legs. Two other Apollo boys helped her walk.

Will got her to the infirmary.

"Sierra? How are you feeling?"

"Lousy." Sierra felt dizzy.

"How many fingers do i have up?" Will held up 4 fingers.

"What kind of question is that? There's 4, you idiot. I'm not stupid. Are you going blind?" Sierra snapped out the reply.

"Ok, you're fine." Will rolled his eyes.

"What was that?" Sierra asked.

"You were having a seizure." Will said matter-of-factly. "You were trembling and shaking in your sleep." He crossed his arms. "Twice in a row, you've had nightmares. What's the deal with you?"

"Ok, that first night, it's a nightmare I've had for 2 years." Sierra hissed. "Today, i really don't know." She gritted her teeth at the lie. She knew exactly what that vision meant.

"Ok, whatever." Will didn't notice the lie. "We should get to breakfast now."

A question popped in Sierra's head. "Am i really the only Apollo girl here?"

Will stiffened. Touchy subject.

"You weren't always the only girl. We used to have 2 girl campers in the Apollo cabin." Will spoke after a moment's hesitation.

Sierra waited.

"Fine." Will snapped. "Monica died on a quest, and Chelsea joined the Roman Camp."

"Romans?" This shocked Sierra.

"Oh, right." Will got the message that she had no idea about what he was talking about. "Well, Reyna could probably explain it better than i could."

The idea of talking to Reyna again thrilled her, as Sierra was intrigued by her. She seemed so mysterious, and she held a certain weight. But she also possesed an aura of pain and sadness.

So Sierra finished breakfast and looked around for Annabeth. She found her near the forges.

"So, are they done yet?" Sierra asked.

Annabeth's eyes lit up. "They'll be done in time for capture the flag."

"Capture the flag?"

"Oh, every Friday the camp plays capture the flag with 2 teams." Annabeth explained.

"Cool. Did you find me the shield?" Sierra asked.

"Both." Annabeth picked up two bronze shields.

"Aw, yes!" Sierra adjusted the leather straps on the two shields to her forearms.

"They'll fit better once the Hephaestus cabin finishes the gloves." Annabeth promised.

"Good." Sierra was excited for the game, but the vision she had lingered in her mind.

Will that happen during Capture the Flag today?
