In an alleyway, in the middle of the night, a black female cat was sleeping on a beaten down velvet purple pillow with a ragged blanket.

She was snuggled deep into a slumber but out of the alleyway, ace was awake, he had a lot on his mind, too much fur him to sleep.

Then the cat woke up, she stretched and hopped on his back.

"Come back to bed baby" she purred, "what are you doing so up" she asked.

"I rather not talk about it baby" ace says as he turns the other way.

But she could see he was thinking of something.

"It's because that girl from the park"

Ace was surprised when he turns his face to her.

"It was that noticeable, huh"

"Well you're not exactly a closed book"

"Ugh" ace groans in embarrassment.

"Who was she...did you know her" the cat asked.

"I did, she was my old owner, when I was a pup I had a family, she used to be a baby"

The cat was shocked, she gasped softly.

"Then one day, i saw her heading to the stairs, I saved her but all her parents saw that I attacked her, so they sent me away"

"So saved her...and that's how they thank you"

"They didn't see it like that...but I will do it again, I would risk my life for her, I just do t know how I can move on, she wants be v by ack so I guess she doesn't know what I did to her I can't say I blame her or her parents, they were just trying to protect her"

"Do you still love her" the cat asked.

Ace looks at her with a brooding look, "I always do, I never forget about her...but I'm afraid of hurting her again, she always finds a way to find me, wants me back, she doesn't remember what I did to her"

His girlfriend saw how upset he was, so she smirks as she rubs her head underneath his chin.

"I wish I had some of that attention"

She then sat on bed, tempting him, he looks at her with a smiling face.

"You know Selina and I been friends for so long, she lost her dad at a very young age, I was the only thing close to him, returning to your owner won't be easy but it's a start to rekindle after everything"

Ace was thinking as his courage returns, "thanks Cathy"

"And you know I love to spend my time...I'm bed"

Then ace walks over to her, "why don't I join you baby" ace lays on top of her.

Meanwhile krypto was getting ready for his date with furlina.

He was heading to the door when Clark gets in front of him.

"Hey what are you doing" krypto asked.

"Krypto I know you want to go out but I don't think you should be seeing that cat anymore"

"What?" Krypto was shocked, "why?"

"She's just not good for you"

Then was a knock on the door, Clark opens it to see furlina in a purple dress.

"Sorry but Krypto can't see you anymore" Clark says as he shuts the door at her.

Which infuriated krypto, he growled at Clark then he started barking at him.

"Hey this is for your own good, she's just right for you"

"Oh and you know what's best for me" krypto shouted.

"Cats and dogs can't be together that's a fact"

Little did they know Lois was there, watching them.

"You can't keep us apart" krypto flies up to his face.

"Krypto please I'm doing this for your own good" Clark grabs krypto and puts him down.

"You're better off without her"

Ending the conversation, krypto is really mad so he walks to the window and lays down facing away from Clark.

Clark then smiles as he pulls out a Batman dog toy from behind his back.

"Ooh..look what I got" he squeezes the toy and throws to krypto.

But krypto looks at him with rage then he whacks the toy away, he was just too mad at him.

Clark sighs then he bends down to krypto who was still facing away from him.

"Krypto know you're mad at me but trust me, this is for your own good"

Outside the window, krypto could see furlina looking up at him then walking away.

"Soon, you'll forget all about that cat"

Clark left, leaving Lois alone with krypto, she saw how krypto really loved this cat so she gets an idea.

"You know Batman didn't think it was a good idea for me and Superman to date but where we are now, so you know there is a chance for you to be happy" she then opens the window for him.

Krypto was surprised and looks at her shocked.

"Go...go get her"

Krypto smiles at her then he flies out the window.

"That Lois is alright" krypto says as he goes after his date.

Back with ace, Cathy was laying on the bed looking pleased.

"Ah, that was great baby" she moaned.

Ace was pleased too as he puts his bandana on, "it was for me as much as it was for you...well I got to go now baby"

Cathy crawls out of bed and walks up to him, "you really think you can find her" she says.

"When there's a will, there's a way...besides I'm a detective" he pecks a kiss on her lips.

"I'll see you around baby" ace ran, leaving his girlfriend alone.

Cathy watches him run, "so long ace" then she groan as she felt her stomach turning.

Meanwhile krypto reunited with his date, he found her in the alleyway.

"Hey" he greeted.

"Oh hey, I was worried you weren't gonna come" furlina says.

"And miss out on our date, please i wouldn't miss this for the world"

They both smiles at each other, "I guess your owner isn't ink with us" she looks worried then Krypto puts his face down to her.

"Hey, it's ok, i don't need him, what matters is, we have each other and that's all that matters to me" he lifts her paw up.

Furlina saw how he was going to risk everything her and in return, she's going to break his heart.

"So where are we going" krypto asked as they let go of their paws.

"I thought we could finally meet my owner"

"Ohh, meet the parent, I like it"

He follows her through alleyway, buses, rooftop to rooftop, then they arrived to lex corp international building, krypto was a bit confused and worried when they entered through the sewer pipes.

"Uhh...does your owner live near Lex corp international" krypto asked.

"Something like that" she smirk.

Back with Clark when he came back, he saw krypto was gone and the window was open.

"Krypto? Krypto?" That's when he realized something when he turns around to Lois.

"Lois did you open the window"

She looked guilty but couldn't lie, "ugh yes"

Clark was enraged, "what? Why?"

"Clark you need to understand, he's in love with that day and you need to stop interfering, i thought you wanted him to get alongs with other pets"

" that doesn't mean he should be dating a cat"

"Clark do you think that maybe just maybe krypto wants a little love and i don't mean you're love"

Clark takes a seat, "I think he feels a bit lonely with us going on dates, maybe he wants someone to love, a Lois lane of his own, his own girlfriend"

"But it doesn't seem right Lois...I mean a cat, really, what's next a bird going out with a rat"

"Well that cat makes krypto happy and I'm glad he's got a girlfriend, we can finally go on date nights, a cat and dog finally getting along, and although it is a cat, you should support him of his choice, like he did with yours"

Clark stated smile, so did Lois knowing that she got through to him.

Then Clark gets up, "I need to stop this date"

Lois groans and shakes her head in disappointment then Clark changes to Superman

"Clark wait" Lois tired to stop him but was too late, he went off in a speed of light.

"Ugh, oh boy"

Then outside of metropolis, Cassandra was far away from her home, she's really committed to leaving her parents for good after they lied to her about ace.

As she walks in the woods next to a river carrying her backpack, she looked at her wrist, to see the bite, she often wonder how she got that bite scar, her parents told her it was a bad dog that's why they never adopted a another dog or pet again.

But Cassandra knows that deep down ace didn't mean to hurt her and that it was a accident or a misunderstanding, and she also knows that he's a good dog.

She built herself a tent to sleep in, she got some rest and decided to go looking for ace tomorrow without her parents finding her, she was possibly going to change her appearance.

But when she fell asleep, little did she know, Thunder rolled in...a storm was coming.

Back with krypto, they wandered in the basement of a evil international corporation.

"So who is your owner"

"Just someone who has a flinging for Superman"

"Oh really, does your owner known Superman"

"Hey do you really want to see something really cool" furlina asked.

"Sure what is it"

Krypto followed her to a well lit room and when furlina'spaw touched the floor, lights shined on a oddly shaped rocket.

"Wow" krypto is impressed.

"Yeah this rocket is built to send up to over one million light years in space, destination to anywhere in Space"

"Wow that's amazing" krypto says.

"Yeah" furlina ditches her feelings for krypto, tries to push it behind as she has no time for love or has any interest for krypto as she remembers what she was supposed to be doing, luring him in a trap for Superman to join him.

She smiles sinisterly as she was facing behind him.

"You know I been through space but nothing is more beautiful compared to you" krypto looks at her with a smile and she immediately changed her face.

"Huh"

"I love waking up and knowing I get to see you everyday, I became a hero because there are some things worth saving but you...you make it worth it, just know no matter what happens, I swear I will never lie anything happen to you, I promise"

And just like that, his words got through to her heart, she immediately realized she had feelings for him all along.

She felt bad about what's about to happen next.

"Krypto i-" she sees someone coming behind him and towards them.

"You need to get out of here now" she pushes him away but he was too strong.

"What? Why?" Krypto was worried when he saw how scared furlina looked.

"There's no time, you need to go now" and when she tries to get him out, they looked up to see a cage coming down.

"KRYPTO LOOK OUT" furlina warned him.

But krypto panicked and he pushed furlina away, in time for the cage to fall on him.

"NO" furlina screamed.

"Hang on furlina" krypto tries to bust out of the. Cage but he just hit his head, "ah, huh" he saw that the cafe was made of Kryptonite.

"What's going on"

Furlina looks at hi mouth guilt, "krypto, I'm so sorry"

"It's ok furlina, it's not your fault-I-I'll find a way out, I promise"

Then they both heard footsteps and sarcastic clapping.

Furlina crouch down in fear when out of the darkness was lex Luther.

Krypto growled at him, "Luther"

Then he got angry even more when he got closer to furlina.

"Hey..if you touch her I'll bite off your-"

But to lex all he could hear was krypto barking at him.

"Good girl, you did a good job luring the mutt in the trap, that was pretty clever"

When krypto heard that furlina has been working for lex, he turns his head to her.

He looked betrayed, "what? Furlina? You been working with lex"

She gave him a tearful and hurt look that's when it gave him his answer.

He felt his heart has shattered, his trust has been betrayed and he felt that Superman was right about the cat the entire time.

Krypto couldn't stand looking at his traitor girlfriend any longer, so he looked away in angry.

Furlina looks down in guilt, realizing she lost another man she loved.

Lex laughed sinisterly, "that's right mitt, your girlfriend is my pet this entire time and she's been working for me, and now that I have you, Superman will come to find you when I have you both, you'll finally get what's coming to you"

Krypto looks at lex and growls at him, but he wasn't the only one having problems.

In the woods, Cassandra woke up when she felt her tent was wet, she looks up to see rain pouring hard, it was raining so ouch puddles were made.

She quickly gets up and what she saw next shocked her, she sees a flood coming her way, she tires to climb up a tree when the flood came to fast knocking her into the river.

"AH" she fell screaming, if only ace were here.
