Couple of years ago

Peyton and Alex were sitting next to each other at a park as Alex gave Peyton some ice cream and she giggled at the sight of it. Alex was nervous as Peyton saw the look on his face and pinched his nose.

Peyton: What were you daydreaming about Alex?

Alex: Uh....Nothing.

Peyton: Come on tell me. I wont bite.

Alex: Its just.....Your breathtaking.

Peyton blushed by Alex's compliment as she kissed him in the cheek and smiled at him.

Peyton: And Your cute.

Alex:........Thanks.

Peyton: So how was your day as a rookie?

Alex: It was good but also tiring.

Peyton: Good to hear Alex.

Peyton was thinking about something as Alex looked at her with worry on his face.

Alex: What's the matter?

Peyton: I'm worried that there is a time that you wont come back.

Alex gave her a hug as she hugged him back.

Peyton: I don't want to lose you Alex.

Alex: Your not gonna lose me. I'm always there for you.

Peyton: And you wont lose me Alex because I am your light in your world.

Peyton gave a smile to Alex as he smiled at her before they shared a kiss as they never let go of each other.

July 12 2535

Chris: Alex, Did you hear me?

Alex broke out of his thoughts as he looked at Chris.

Chris: What's the matter?

Alex: Nothing Chris.........

The Rest Of Resistance were staring at Alex as he was looking around the mines.

Esmeray: You were quiet. Is everything alright?

Alex: I'm fine.

William: If there's anything you need. We're there for you mate.

Alex: Thanks. So What's the matter?

Ellie: Well You see that opening in front of us?

Maria: It will lead us to the Government Sector.

Daniel: We're gonna use that mining drill to get us to the Government Sector but........

Tobias: We're missing a power cell and a circuit junction.

Monica: I located the Power cell and circuit junction on the other side.

Issac: That's all we have to do.

Michelle: Let's do this guys.

They all went their ways as Alex looked at Monica and had some words to say.

Alex: Brian's Dead.

Monica: Well I don't feel sorry for him Alex but what are you gonna do now? You said you needed Brian to destroy the Marker. What's next for you?

Alex: Brian was running from his past Monica. I'm not running away anymore.

Monica: Alright Alex but Just..........

Alex: Umm What is it?

Monica: Try not to get killed.

Alex: I'll try.

Alex went to the other side as he was looking for the Circuit Junction while the others were looking for another power cell. They faced some Necromorphs in their ways but they managed to kill them. Alex found the Circuit Junction as The Resistance found the power cell they need to make the drill operational.

Daniel placed the power cell in the drill as Alex installed the Circuit Junction as Monica was confused.

Monica: That's odd, Its saying that it doesn't recognize this junction. Hold on I'll fix it.

Alex: Or I can just hack it through here.

Monica: You said something?

Alex: Nothing.

Alex managed to hack through the Junction as The Drill was working and They all sighed in relief.

Monica: I did it.

Alex stayed Quiet as The Resistance shared a laugh and got on top of the drill and then Monica drives the drill straight to the wall and started drilling their way to the Government Sector. It was bumpy as They were looking around until some slashers got on the drill but The Team started shooting at them as they were dead. They heard some strange sounds as they looked around and saw what it was.

Esmeray: That's just great.

They started shooting at the strange monster as it was using its tentacles to smash them but They managed to kill it as They saw something climbing up on the drill.

Daniel: You gotta be kidding me.

Michelle started shooting at the Brute's legs as The others were shooting at it's back as The Brute was roaring in anger. It took some time before they killed the brute as Monica stopped the Drill.

Monica: There's the foundation of the Government Sector.

William: We're finally here.

Issac: After that long hard road we had to get through.

Alex: But How do we get in there?

Maria: We have a giant drill Alex so......

Monica smiled as She drilled through the foundation as Alex fell down and landed inside the sector as a huge wall almost crush him but he got away fast as he saw the damaged drill.

Ellie: Is Everyone Alright?

Esmeray: Well We're all fine but Alex is again separated from us.

Tobias: Alex, I'll shoot Coordinates to your RIG.

Michelle: Be Careful.

Alex looked around as He looked at his locator and as he was following the way point. The Government Sector was really quiet as Alex already had his gun aimed at sights. He received a transmission from Hammond as He was really angry.

Hammond: Alex, You idiot. You almost compromised the sector but don't worry I'll handle you and the rest of your team.

Hammond disconnected the Transmission as Alex saw a poker crawling out of the drill as Alex quickly killed it and kept walking as he was reloading his Plasma Cutter.

One Hour Later

Alex made it to the main command room as he heard a transmission from his RIG.

Daniel: Great News Alex. We found a Gunship. Its fully operational, We can finally get out of here.

Issac: Your almost there Alex. Just keep going.

William: I'm checking out the systems till then.

The Transmission stopped as Alex was having some thoughts as He opened the door and looked through the window as he saw the Resistance inside the gunship as He looked at the controls in front of him.

Michelle: Alex, What are you doing?

Alex was remotely launching the gunship as The Doors were closed and The Team stared at him and realised what he was trying to do.

Monica: ALEX, DONT YOU DARE LAUNCH THIS SHIP!!!

Esmeray: ALEX STOP!!!

Alex: Its finally over for you guys. Your gonna be rescued.

William: Alex Listen to us!!!

Chris: Alex Goddammit dont do this!!!

Tobias: Listen to us!!!

Alex: I couldn't save Peyton but I can save all of you.

Issac: Alex, Stop the launch now!!!

Maria: Please!!!

Alex: I'm sorry.

Michelle: You Bastard!!!

Daniel: There's still time. Listen!!

The Gunship prepared the launch sequence as it flew out of Lunar City as Alex saw it leaving as he sat down and removed his helmet.

Peyton: Are we ready to talk?

Alex: Why? So I can let you go too? I couldn't do it Peyton.

Peyton: A Lot has happened to us Alex. Fate always has something in plan.

Alex: I already lost you and here I am, Still alive.

Peyton: Like i said. Fate always has something in plan.

Alex:.........

Peyton: Alex.......I love you.

Alex: I love you too.

Alex got up as he put his helmet back on as he couldn't see Peyton anymore.
