Indecay's school is holding a camping event, but Ouritar is sadly unable to join on the first day due to a cold. So Indecay spends the entire afternoon and evening alone, which severely impacts their state of mind and leaves them feeling despondent. As the night falls, they sit silently outside the campfire, unable to shake off their deep melancholy even while the glow of the burning flames surrounds them.

The campfire burns brightly, its heat radiating outward to the nearby surroundings and filling the atmosphere with warmth. The other students roam around the campsite and engage in friendly discussions while Indecay sits silently in solitude. To top it off, it seems that they have been somehow entrusted with a task to cook. Unfortunately, Indecay sadly falters when it comes to performing cooking duties, which further serves to exacerbate their already dire mood.

Indecay is woefully inexperienced regarding all matters pertaining to the kitchen, having only the most miniscule knowledge about grocery storage and vegetable cleaning. Now, they have been entrusted with a far more demanding role and task, that being a main cook to prepare an extensive meal serving the entire student body. Indecay fears that they shall undoubtedly commit several disastrous errors, such as unintentionally setting the premises ablaze.

As their situation seems dire, Indecay reflects upon their limited cooking aptitude and decides to prepare Egg Fried Rice. The dish is Asian-originated, even though they themselves are not of Asian descent. Indecay takes the required rice and places it in a cooking vessel, proceeding to add a sufficient amount of water to the contents. They commence the first step in the cooking process of washing the rice by vigorously stirring it with their hands.

Our intrepid protagonist continues to exert their efforts by thoroughly washing the rice with just the application of water and their hands. As it so happens, this yields less than satisfying results from the get-go, as the rice remains covered in a murky, white film. Undeterred, they proceed to rinse it with water a second time, hoping to eliminate any and all remnants of foreign materials on the grains.

With the cleansing process complete, Indecay empties out the tainted water and replaces it with a new supply of clean, fresh water. They ensure that the level of the liquid is only ever slightly greater than the volume of the rice itself. Finally, they place the cooking vessel inside of the electric cooker and await approximately a quarter of an hour until the cooking process is complete. When finished, they scoop out a portion of the prepared rice into a bowl.

Following the culmination of the rice preparation, Indecay proceeds to utilise a pan and heat source to perform the final step of the cooking process. Upon introducing the rice to the dish, they stir it vigorously to ensure a uniform mixture of the grains and other ingredients. Indecay then cracks an egg into the pan and continues to blend and mix the contents for a few dozen minutes until the meal has been completed.

The finished meal is laid out for everyone to enjoy, but not every individual possesses the knowledge or understanding of the concoction. Some simply embark on eating the dish without a second thought, while others remain slightly perplexed as to its unique construction. Indecay feels fatigued after the exhausting and arduous culinary endeavour and decides to seek out a tranquil area to take some respite.

While Indecay simply desires some solitude to be able to collect themselves, they must face the harsh reality that their younger sister, Lasi, studies in the same school as them. Considering this circumstance, it is inevitable that Lasi, possessing her typical obnoxious personality, shall inevitably disturb Indecay when the opportunity arises.

Lasi, a characterful individual in her own right, finds herself situated beside Indecay's spot and proceeds to settle down and take a seat, much to the latter's dismay. In typical manner, Lasi begins to verbally convey the happenings from her day, detailing all manner of events that occurred to her in a chatty manner. The two sisters converse and converse all through the night, with Lasi being the one to lead the narrative, which Indecay simply listens to with stoic silence.

As the hours pass and the night deepens, Indecay leads Lasi back to her own tent and makes their way back to their own. Lying down on a makeshift cot, Indecay becomes extremely conscious of the unfamiliar atmosphere, causing them to struggle with sleep. They desire nothing more than to lie in the comfort of their personal bedroom, where they feel secure and relaxed, engaging in their favourite online activities with a device of their choice.

With the onset of frustration and unease, Indecay takes a handful of pills and swallows them down with some water, hoping for a sedative effect to take hold and allow them to fall into a soothing slumber. They then silently lay down and close their eyes, waiting for the tablets to exert their intended consequence of inducing sleep.
