Chapter Eleven
god damn she scares me

3rd Person POV

Serena could never stay happy for too long something always had to happen, she didn't know what happened after dinner that night but she had heard that it was bad. she didn't want to separate from bianca or anyone else, she didn't want them to see her fully break down after everything with her mom.

so she didn't, she stayed with bianca for as long as she could until she had to go back to her room and mina had to go to bed. she hated it but at the same time, she didn't. she needed the sleep and she needed to be calm with everything. but she had more important things

"serena we need at crackstones crypt now, its Wednesdays birthday and we want to surprise her" xavier said and serena got up from her bed and sighed

"ill be there soon" was all she said before she ended the call and went to the crypt. she saw everyone and they all turned to her before they heard footsteps and they turned to see her walking towards them

"okay now we can hide" Xavier said and he grabbed her hand as they all went and hid together. they heard the door open and wednesday walked in

"whoever you are, show yourself. try anything and you'll lose limbs" Wednesday said

"god damn she scares me" serena stated before they stepped out from behind the stone  as they began to sing to her and enid walked in with a cake, they stood in front of wednesday as she turned to thing

"i should've known you were behind this, what part of no party under the penalty of death do you not understand?" wednesday said and serena coughed softly

"i thought my cake design was pretty inspired" he said and they looked at the cake

"the pink balloon was my little touch,why don't you make a wish?" enid exclaimed and wednesday walked away. they all watched the girl in confusion as they stared

"okay that's not really a wish" enid said and serena laughed.

"the first part of that phrase was burned onto nevermores lawn. it cant be a coincidence" wednesday exclaimed

"wait, were never eating that cake are we?" ajax said and Serena sighed softly

"oh ajax, you poor naive boy, we're definitely not" serena said but then they all watched wednesday as her back bent and serena grabbed onto xaviers hand as he held hers.  when they all left, serena walked to her room and bianca stood there

"you weren't in your room last night" she said and serena sighed. she couldn't tell her the truth, it would break her.

"yeah sorry, i was just around" she exclaimed and she walked into her room. she didn't want to ignore the girl but she was tired and it had been a long day. the next day when she woke up, she got dressed and she left her room. she saw bianca talking to the normie that had broken enid and she scoffed.

"yeah of course" she said to herself and she walked away. she didn't want to be mad, she couldn't be. she had no right and yet she was. she was mad and she didn't have the right to be

"you look mad" she heard and she turned to see mina standing there.

"I'm not" she retorted but it was clear the girl was lying, it was more obvious then she wanted it to be. Mina laughed and nodded as she walked away from the girl and left her to think. god damn it how serena hated being alone or even feeling alone, she hated the thought of it and even more she hated the idea of it.

she went through out the rest of the day doing what she always did until later that night, she had finally decided to leave her room and take some time to herself. she knew that she needed to think and she knew right where to go. she left the school and went into jericho, as soon as she got into weathervane , she was met with warmth and smiled.

that all came crashing down when she saw bianca sitting at a table all alone and she thought for a second before her mind finally caught up with her. she was there to see the mayors son and for a second, serena wanted to scoff and run like hell out of there but she didn't. she stood her ground and walked over to bianca

"hey b" she said and bianca turned to the girl with a soft smile.

"hey ser, what are you doing here?" she asked and serena shrugged her shoulders and looked around

"i couldn't stay in my room for any longer, i was about to fall asleep or die. i needed to get out, and you? what are you doing here?" she questioned but truth be told, she didn't want to know the answer. she didn't need to know it and she felt like if she did, she might explode.

however they were interrupted when one tyler galpin walked over and smiled at the pair

"you're bianca and serena, right?" he asked and serena looked at bianca

"yeah , whats up?" serena asked softly and he held out a bag

"could you do me a favor? wednesday forgot this. could you give it back to her? birthday gift from enid " he asked as he handed the bag but bianca spoke up

"arent you her boyfriend?" she asked and serena watched him grimace for a second

"definitely not" he said and serena smiled sadly at the boy

" sure, no problem. i was just leaving anyway" she said and they stood up together before the door opened and in came the boy that serena so desperately wanted to sink her fangs in and kill

"well i guess ill leave you to it" serena said and she began to walk off

"serena wait" bianca called but serena was already out of the door. it had began to rain and she put on her hoodie as she looked and sighed

"stupid, stupid , stupid" she said to herself as she began to walk all the way to nevermore. she felt like an idiot for falling for the Barclay girl, if only she knew that the girl felt the same.
