Hayate's POV

I chose to go just outside of the estate and sat on the cliff, with the view of the sea and my intention to... clear my mind. Ever since that night... I'm having nightmares frequently. Nightmares of the burning estate, our servants, guards and my friends being killed, my father being surrounded by the Tenryou Samurais, my own sister executed me... The blood that stained the snow around the Hayabusa Estate during that time...

Hayate: "Sighs" Dad and I promised to never speak about what we experienced on that night because of, we wanted to move on. The only ones who knew the whole story before was Ayato. I gradually told the truth to Ayaka, but only parts of it and covered it up as, "That is as long as I remember." But now, she knew the truth. But not just her, Aether, Paimon, Thoma, Sara and everyone in Inazuma, but surprisingly, Ei.

I gazed up to the skies.

Hayate: I was powerful enough to protect my whole clan. And yet, I can protect the Sakamata Clan... Even that I am the leader of the Corps... I always blamed myself for being so powerless and I couldn't even do anything to prevent it. Even if Father and I arrived earlier, the result will be the same.

I then took my Vision from my belt and held it tightly close to my heart.

Hayate: I may have gained a Vision, but at what cost? What if none of this could've happened?Maybe even the Vision Hunt Decree wouldn't even happen, maybe Inazauma would've not ended up like this? "Sighs" But with everything that was said and done... Inazuma is now currently getting back to its ordinary life... "Sighs" Pretty sure that I really need a vacation after all of those.

???: That's right, I guess you could take some vacation.

I turned around to the familiar voice.

Hayate: Lady Miko? What are you doing here?

The fox envoy walked towards me as she hands me my father's journal. I took the journal.

Yae: I guess you could use the information that your father wrote in there about travelling to the other nations. Well, the Vision Hunt Decree may be over, but the Sakoku Decree is still in tact. So, it may take a while for Ei to also abolish the Sakoku Decree. Anyways, why are you here?

I looked back to the sea.

Hayate: Just here, wanting to clear my mind.

Yae: I see. I also heard the news that Ei visited the Hayabusa Estate.

I just bluntly gave an answer.

Hayate: Nothing ever escapes through your ears, no?

Yae: Is that an insult or a compliment?

Hayate: Depends on how you will take it.

Yae: Hayate, I never taught you to be blunt.

Hayate: Yeah, right. It's because you always try to say around many cryptic messages, I just wanted to be as direct as possible. I called self-learning

Yae: I never thought that raising such a kid like you back then would be so difficult. Now I know the feeling of your father. But going back on topic, the reason you're here, is it because of Ei?

I gently shook my head.

Hayate: A part of it. But she's not the main reason why I'm here.

Yae: Hmmmmm. As much as I wanted to hear it... looks like someone has been stalking you from the very beginning.

Hayate: "Sigh" Why am I not surprise about this...

Yae: We know you're there. So quit hiding.

There came out, Ei, hiding behind a nearby tree.

Ei: Miko? How did you....

Yae: I saw you standing there for a while now, while looking at Hayate with great concern.

Ei: ...

Hayate: And in this Inazuma, only the Raiden Shogun has unique purple hair.

Yae: "Sighs"   Anyways, I'll leave you two alone.

The fox envoy left as Ei silently sits beside me.

Ei: Hayate, when I heard the stories of you and your family...  I couldn't help but feel that I just saw myself when I knew what happened to you and your family...

Hayate: Somehow, I made peace with it a long time ago. But I guess they say that the pain wouldn't just go away that quickly... We all lost something on the past... Both are our sisters and our friends.

Ei: And yet here I am now... I found a new friend in you.

Then she lays her head on my shoulder.

Ei: Hayate, look at me.

I complied and looked at her straight in the eye. Then out of a sudden, our lips touched each other and I was just shocked by this. After a few seconds we parted from each other as Ei becomes a blushing mess.

Hayate: Ei...what was...

Ei: I love you.

This is suddenly out of nowhere!

Hayate: I... This is all too sudden and...

Ei: Hayate, I heard from your father that you are a part-god and part-tengu, right? So I thought that, maybe it is really possible for us, to be together.

Hayate: Wait, you're not saying, you and I? But what would people say about our relationship? The Almighty Electro Archon and her loyal servant?!

Ei: So what? I don't care. As long as I can be with you...for all Eternity. Together, with you.

Meanwhile, in the distance. There are two ghosts standing and watching everything with smiles filled with humor and sarcasm.

Ryoga: Holy shit! Hey little bro, did you see what I see?

Ryoma: In my very own eyes, aniki! I never thought that one day our leader would be kissed by a girl! More exactly, our Almighty Raiden Shogun! HAHAHAHAHA! If we were still alive now, we would have material to tease our leader!

Ryoga: HAHAHAHAHA! I know! But it must be said again and again, Hayate has done exactly what fallen warriors like us left behind. A peaceful and prosperous Inazuma.

Ryoma: And that's why he will become an outstanding strategist just like Mr. Shimura.

After that, Ryoga and Ryoma's ghosts disappeared. Leaving a gentle breeze across the land of Inazuma. Painting a calm feature to a previously turbulent picture.
