3rd POV. Dojo, Tenshukaku. 18 years later.

One day, inside the dojo of the Tenshukaku, a father and his daughter are having a sparring match. Their attacks are both fierce and relentless, as the sound of their wooden swords can be heard in a distance. The two of them are currently in stalemate.

Hayate: Not bad, you've already improved since the last time.

The young lady, named Mei, smiled at her father's compliment.

Mei: Well, I need to improve my skills and be stronger in order for me protect Inazuma.

The two stepped back and then continued their clash. Hayate performed a feign as his daughter took this chance to knock her father's wooden sword but, she fell into a trap as soon as she was about to attack. Hayate made swinged his sword and knocked off his daughter's sword as it hits tatami floor.

Mei: Wha-

Hayate: I win.

Hayate smiled as Mei frowned.

Mei: Isn't that cheating!? You deceived me!

Hayate: Well, if you know how read what's beneath, you will be able to decipher what is true and what is a lie?

The young lady just just scratched her head.

Mei: I don't get it.

Hayate: Haha. Don't worry.

Hayate pats the head of his daughter.

Hayate: You'll get it soon enough.

The father and daughter then took a break, they wiped off the sweat from their faces as Mei asked her father.

(A/N: Yep, Raiden Mei from HI3. But imagine her having Hayate's eyes and her hair color is from Ei.)

Mei: Father, how did you get stronger?

Hayate: Me? Well....

Then he pulls out his Ultima Vision as his daughter looks at it.

Mei: Your Vision? You received your Vision back when you are young, right?

Hayate nodded as he looked at the sky filled with the falling sakura blossoms.

Hayate: Yes, on that fateful night.

Then he told her everything that happened on the past and on that very particular night.

Mei: Oh........you mean........?

Hayate: Mm.

Mei: But atleast.......you're happy now, right?

He smiled at his daughter.

Hayate: Of course. Despite the loss that I experienced on that night, the void in my heart was filled by many wonderful people. Your grandpa, your Aunt Sayuri, they are the ones who helped me in that day. Then, Lady Miko...whom I really treated as my mother.

Mei: Yeah, Aunt Miko is really mysterious.

Hayate: You'll get used to it. Rei, Keiwa, Thoma, Yoimiya... They really helped me cope up with my loss. And then... On one fateful night........

Hayate smiled as he remembers the night he met Ei, for the very first time.

Hayate: While I was meditating infront of the Sacred Sakura... There was this girl, who just ate all of my dangos.

And as if on cue.......the girl in question, arrived at the dojo and immediately headlocks her husband.

Ei: It's been 18 years ever since that happened! Isn't it time that you already let go of that!?

Hayate: If you haven't just ate my dangos right away, I wouldn't mind sharing it with you but you just went ahead and ate it!

Their daughter chuckled at the antics of her parents.

Mei: Fufu. Mother, Father........please, whatever that is, it's already over, right?

Ei lets go of her husband as Hayate sighs in relief.

Hayate: "Sighs" 

Ei: You're right.

Then Ei looks around the dojo and noticed two wooden swords on laying on the ground.

Ei: I guess you're on your break from your sparring session, right?

Mei: Yep. I lost to father once again.

Ei: Hehe. Well, I lost to your father back then.

Mei: Really?

Ei: He really did possess a unique strength.

Then Hayate decided to hand over his Vision, to his daughter.

Mei: Eh? But....father......this is yours.

Hayate: We share the same ambition... You inherited my ambition and my will... That's why, I know that you are worthy of my Vision.

Mei: But, aren't Visions came from the gods? I mean, you and mother are both gods.......

Ei: I may be the former Electro Archon... But during my time as an Archon, it was never in our dispense that we are the ones who distributed the Visions.

Mei: Oh.

Then Mei takes the Vision and pinned it on the knot of her ribbon.

Hayate: It really suits you.

Mei: Really?

Ei: But, you don't need a Vision to use your powers. After all you, you both inherited our powers.

Mei: This is what reminded of father's duty for Inazuma. I also wanted this Vision to also remind me of the same ambition.

Hayate: Haha. Hey, Mei. You wanted to know your mother's story and I? How we met?

Mei: Of course! I want-

Then Mei's stomach grumbles.

Ei: Well, I guess the story can wait.

Mei: Y-Yeah........

Hayate stands up.

Hayate: Well, I guess I'll be cooking our lunch.

Mei: Let me help you, father.

Hayate: Sure. You also picked up my talent in cooking.

Ei: How I wish I also learned how to cook.

Hayate: Well, you learned how to make desserts, right?

Ei: Yes. But I still wanted to learn how to cook.

Hayate: Well, I've been teaching you on how to cook for the past 18 years and you still couldn't get it.

Ei: Urk!

Mei: Is mother's cooking really that bad?

Hayate: Oh, you should better ask your Aunt Sayuri and Uncle Thoma. I still remember their faces when they told me to run from your mother's cooking.

Ei pouts as Hayate chuckled.

Hayate: Haha. Alright, alright. At least you still tried to do your best.

Then the father and daughter went to the kitchen as his daughter asked.

Mei: Father, you told me that when you met mother, Inazuma was under the Vision Hunt Decree, right?

Hayate: Yes. The Vision Hunt Decree will be written down not only in the history of Inazuma but also in Teyvat as well. It was a dark period for Inazuma.

Mei: But you and a mysterious Traveler stopped it right?

Hayate: Yes. Do you want to hear the story of the Vision Hunt Decree?

Mei: Yes.

Hayate: Well then... For what you're about to hear, really shook Inazuma to its very core. And I guess you should know it as well. For you to know what happened in the past and to prevent something like that from happening in the future.

For all my life, I always asked, "What is the eternity that she is seeking for?"

I always asked that question when she declared the Vision Hunt Decree.

Eventually, all of the answers that I'm seeking, was answered as we also abolish the said decree.

Also, during that time, I met her. Under the Sacred Sakura, her pure amethyst eyes, her long dark purple hair.......

I met the one who is pursuing eternity all by herself.

But eventually, we proved her ideals wrong and I helped her to go back on the right track.

We also fell in love.

Years passed, we got married and have a family. Also, Inazuma already prospered as Ei finally decided to directly rule Inazuma. But then, she also stepped down on her role as an Archon, years later.

She entrusted the future of Inazuma to the people.

Though her role as an archon already ended, she still guided the Tri-Commission until they learned to manage Inazuma on their own.

We are now living in peace and harmony.

We then focused on taking care of our child, Mei.

She inherited most of her mother's looks but she somehow inherited my hobbies and my scarlet eyes.

But nonetheless, we are a happy family.

Then I always went back to my question of the eternity Ei once pursued in the past.

But I guess now... we found the meaning on the very first day that we met.

That's right...

We found the meaning of eternity, through each other's souls.

My name is Hayabusa Hayate and this is my story, my journey on how I found the true meaning of eternity.
