Just to clarify, some of you might've been confused about Lachlan's power last chapter. So I'll do a quick explanation:

His power is elasticity. So basically his body acts like it's made out of rubber. He can stretch and part of his body to wayyy beyond its normal length, as well as bend as if bone structure wasn't a thing. (If you've ever seen the movie the incredibles, basically Mrs Incredibles power)

     ~3rd P.O.V. As seen from ???? And ?????????~

"What?! What do you mean, two white gems?!"

...

"Curse that Notch! I knew there was something strange to what he said! Very well... I have a mission for you. If there are two of them, there very well could be more, and so we need to prevent their assembly. Go and track down this 'Seto' figure you keep babbling on about. Use him to lure them in, by any means necessary."

...

"Too strong? Ha! No one can match my strength. Take this-it should help you nicely. Now be gone, we mustn't waste time. And while you're out, command some of your lacking to keep an eye out for any other pests. I don't need them interfering with my domination."

"Oh and Endi, be mindful to protect your key."

Warnings: None

~Rob's P.O.V.~

"Awh man, why did it have to be one of them?" Preston whines, making no move to help the unconscious guy.
I cast a tired glance at him. "One of who?"
"A villager from Oresville. Y'know, the ones who've been abusing me and tried to kill me the other day?" He monotones, crossing his arms. "Are we sure he's one of us?"
"Preston," I sigh, "My magic led us right to him. And look, he has a white gem, too. And I get what these people did to you wasn't right, but if we're going to save the world, you're gonna have to cooperate with him."
         "Yeah but what if he-"
"Preston, enough. Look, he's hurt. I need to check him over for injuries, and heal him." I interrupt, brushing past him to go retrieve the guy with mocha skin and black hair. "Here's a little quote to keep in mind-it's what I applied to you; If they stand behind you, protect them. If they stand beside you, respect them. If the stand against you, defeat them."

I give Preston a second to absorb those words, and then move to aid the poor beat up guy. But as soon as I take one step, my knee buckles, and I'm falling to a knee. I grunt in pain, steadying myself with one hand, and shakily trying to stand up, only to fall back down on my butt. Preston jumps forward, resting a hand on my shoulder, and Silver trots up to me, gazing to my with big concerned eyes.

"You good dude? You're not looking so hot." Preston checks worriedly, letting my use him as a brace to lift myself up.
"I'm fine, just... Tired is all. I've used way too much magic in the past day or two, what with the attack, and healing us, as well as casting that spell that's connecting the six of us. It's used up all of my energy." I reassure him, holding a clammy palm to my throbbing forehead.

Preston frowns, stopping me when I try to step forward again, and looking me directly in the eyes.

"Rob stop, you'll hurt yourself." He insists, gently pushing my down so I'm sitting against a tree. "I'll take carry him, and tend to his wounds. You on the other hand, need to rest."

For a second I debate protesting, before realizing, he's 110% right. I nod groggily, my eyelids drooping as if there are invisible fingers trying to push them down. Rest... I can't remember the last time I've rested. Yeah... Maybe I'll do that. I reason, stifling a yawn.

"O...Kay. Just... Make sure you clean up his wounds well. I should have-" Another yawn. "-some, healing... Potions downstairs. Use those, and..."
"Shh. I've got it. I'll clean up his wounds and treat him with some healing potions. Now, go back to your home, and get some sleep." He coos, carefully pulling my back up onto my feet. His voice is much more distant now.

I nod, mumbling some incoherent words, then begin slowly dragging my feet one after the other, letting them lead me back to the tower and into bed. I'm faintly aware of Silver yipping and padding along beside me, along with some other thing, seeming to poke at the back of my mind. Something I needed to tell Preston when he checks over the guys wounds...  Something important. Something to do with a virus. But I'm much too exhausted to talk, let alone try and remember anything. So, I let my feet mindlessly carry me home, eager to rest and restore my lost energy.

      "How's he doing?"

As I stride into the dark room, refreshed and wide awake, Preston whips around, startled by my sudden arrival.

"Rob? What're you doing up so soon? It's only been a couple hours!"
I laugh, scratching Silver's furry head as she jumps up on my legs. "I don't need much sleep. A few hours is plenty to replenish me. When you're a Mage, you learn to run off of minimal sleep."

Preston casts me a skeptical look, but shrugs it off, turning to face the stranger, who remains unconscious. I step up beside him, folding my hands behind my back as he summarizes his procedures.

"He wasn't completely torn up, but he still had some nasty wounds here and there-especially one on his upper arm. I cleaned out those gashes, wrapped up his arm, and then applied some healing potions to him like you said. I also replaced the sling over his arm. With the effect of the healing potions, plus a regeneration potions I added in, his arm should make a faster recovery." Preston explains, pointing to each part respectively.

I nod in approval, scanning his body for any wounds Preston might've missed. But, he seems to have gotten everything covered, and the bandage on his upper arm is well wrapped.

"Should I cast a small healing spell just in case?" I wonder aloud, stepping back.
But Preston shakes his head firmly, quickly dispelling the thought. "Rob, no! You just rested, and I'm not going to have you wear yourself out that quickly. Plus, like I mentioned, nothing was big enough that it'd need your special attention. So just trust me, alright? Here, I have something to show you." He trails, changing the subject.

I sigh in defeat, giving up on the idea. It'd make me feel better if I can just cast even a tiny healing spell, but I'll trust Preston's judgment and leave it be. Instead, I let my eyes follow him, watching as he backs away from myself, Silver, and the stranger.

"While you were asleep, I figured out some new things I can do with my power. Check it out!"

He sticks his pitch black tongue out, narrowing his eyes, and holding an arm out in front of him. I watch in fascination as his forearm and hand being to glow brightly, droop, and then reform. Within a few seconds, the entire front of his arm has transformed into a blade of lava. I let out an uncontrollable gasp of awe as he switches is again, and again, from anywhere to a blade, to a pickaxe head, and many other random shapes and figures. He even demonstrated the same ability with other parts of his body, showing off his ability to melt and reform himself as long as it's the same volume as whatever he's changing.

"Woah that's cool!" I exclaim, clapping my hands lightly.
"But that's not all!" He continues, inheriting a cheesy announcer voice. "Ladie- er. Gentleman-men. Gentlemen. I give you, the cloning act!"

I let out a cheer of excitement, playing along. Preston bows, winks, and then rapidly heats up. I let out cliche 'oos' and 'ahhs' as he folds in on himself, soon splitting in the middle. Before my very eyes, stands two Preston's, dressed in the exact same clothing. Though, both of him is only half the size of his full body. Silver barks in shock, amazed at seeing her master split into two. Then four. Then eight. Each time, halving in size. Then finally, he forms back into one, taking a deep bow. I cheer and clap, Silver having great fun with the whole scenario and barking rapidly.

"Thank you, thank you! You're all to kind." He chuckles, holding a hand to his heart. "Now, let's get some food. I'm starving!"

Question of the chapter:

Rob was tired, and couldn't remember what he needed to tell Preston to when treating Vikk. Any guesses as to what that was?
