(Third Person PoV)

So the Signers and Double Lifers arrived at a helipad while they waited for a helicopter to arrive.

Mikage turned to Jack and asked, "Other than defeating the Dark Signers, why must you go to Satellite?"

"It's obvious. There's something that I must do," Jack replied.

It's about Carly isn't it? Mikage thought, feeling a little bit jealous.

Goodwin approached them and they all turned to face him.

"The mist is occurring and surrounding the original Moment. It is destiny that is guiding the son of the developer of the original Moment, Professor Fudo," he explained.

The twins, DesertDuo, BoatBoys and Aki all glanced at each other.

Professor Fudo? The son? Did we miss something? They all thought but Goodwin didn't elaborate.

"Your mission is to defeat the Dark Signers and make sure that Moment revolves the right way," he added on.

After he said this, the helicopter arrived and landed safely.

A tall man stepped out of the helicopter and saluted.

"Tetsu Ushio at your service here," he said.

Goodwin gave him a small acknowledgement nod at this.

"Oh, it's you," Yusei said, unimpressed.

"Why you-! If Mr. Goodwin hadn't personally asked me to escort you to Satellite, I wouldn't even be here right now!" Ushio snapped.

Mikage approached him though.

"You're here to escort us? Nice but it must be awfully late in the day for you to be working," she told him.

"No, it's fine. It's my honor to serve you," Ushio said, dropping his anger as he spoke to her. He also blushed.

"Well then...we're off," Grian said.

Before they could get on, Yusei turned to Goodwin.

"Before we go, I need you to promise something," he told him.

"Promise?" Goodwin asked.

"After we defeat the Dark Signers and everything goes back to normal, I need you to promise that you will complete the Daedalus Bridge," Yusei said.

That unfinished bridge? Grian then remembered the story that Crow told them. Is Yusei trying to do what the man in the story tried to do?

"Do you intend to emulate the man in the legend?" Goodwin asked.

"If what you said was true, then there would be no reason to discriminate against Satellite," Yusei explained.

Grian stared at Goodwin with curiosity about what his answer will be.

Scar was also staring at Goodwin but he was more concerned about his answer and his reasoning. Would he say yes or will he say no?

It took a short bit before Goodwin replied with, "I promise."

Yusei have a small nod at this and turned away to board the helicopter.

The rest of the Signers and the Double Lifers followed after.

As he sat down, Yusei thought to himself, 'I need to reunite Satellite and Neo Domino City together even if it costs me my life. They have been separated for far too long.

"Hey look!" Rua said and pointed.

They all perked over to see three people waving good bye.

Yanagi, Himuro and a little boy around the twin's age.

"Don't give up, Rua and Ruka!" The boy shouted.

"We believe in you!" Yanagi shouted.

"Don't die!" Himuro called out.

The twins waved goodbye and Yusei took one long look at them.

We must win...for everyone's sake! He thought.

(Time skip)

It was unusually quiet inside the helicopter despite the cracking noise of thunder outside of it.

It wasn't until Aki who broke the silence by turning to Mikage and asked, "I want to know more about Movement and Yusei's father."

Yeah, Goodwin just dropped a bombshell of a reveal and chose not to elaborate. Weird, Joel thought.

"...alright. I'm sure most of you know what the Zero Reverse incident is," Mikage started.

"They probably do but we don't," Etho said.

"Ok then. The Zero Reverse was known as an environmental disaster that split Neo Domino City and Satellite but that's just the cover up. What really happened was that Movement, the original, went out of control and today is in the deepest parts of Satellite. Professor Fudo, Yusei's father, was the supervisor at M.I.D.S at the time," Mikage explained.

"If this Zero Reverse split the City in two then that could mean...," Scar trailed off as everyone glanced at Yusei.

That's why Yusei thinks that family is so important, Aki thought.

Ushio turned his head around and asked, "But wait. Why would someone in Satellite be in charge of an important project?"

"Because Yusei was born in the City," Jack stated.

"Wait really? So you're not Satellite scum?" Ushio asked.

"I was born in Satellite! You have a problem with that?" Jack demanded.

Ushio did not want to throw hands with Jack so he dropped the matter and kept quiet.

He looked around, outside of the helicopter and noted, "this lightning sure is unusual. Maybe we should turn back."

"We're not allowed to retreat!" Mikage snapped.

I was only thinking of your safety, Ushio thought.

Then Yusei got up, walked towards Ushio and placed his hand on his shoulder to get his attention and said, "Land right there," and pointed.

"Huh?" Ushio asked but under Mikage's glare, complied with what Yusei told him.

He lowered the helicopter and landed on a pile of land in front of a house.

There were some people standing in the doorway of the entrance as the helicopter came down.

Then the side of the helicopter opened and the Signers, Double Lifers, Mikage and Ushio walked out.

Martha, who was one of the people standing in the doorway, noticed who was in the group and her face lit up.

"Yusei! Jack!" She ran over to them, particularly to Jack because she hasn't seen him in a long time.

"Martha...it's been a while," Jack said.

"I'm just glad that you're back. Now now, do your king thing," Martha told him.

Jack stared at her in disbelief while Yusei just gave him a knowing smile.

"Fine...," Jack reluctantly kneels down and held Martha's hand, "A king always admires a lady."

He then kissed her hand.

They all just kinda stared at him while the Double Lifers tried not to laugh.

"You're such a good kid!" Martha furthered Jack's embarrassment by giving him a hug.

Then a whole bunch of children ran out of the house, excitedly.

"Is that Yusei?" A little girl asked.

"Jack and Yusei are back!" A little boy cheered.

The twins stood around in confusion.

This is Satellite?

"I honestly thought that it would be an even scary place," Rua noted.

"I didn't think that children would be happy here," Ruka added on.

"Hmmmph! Satellite will always be the same to me," Ushio stated.

"Well then, that's a sight that you don't see every day. What's a guy like you doing here with them?" Seiya asked, approaching him.

"Hold on...it's you! You helped Yusei escape from me last time!" Ushio gasped.

"Guilty," Seiya shrugged.

"Listen, I'm only here on Director Goodwin's orders. No one willingly chooses to come here," Ushio stated.

He then looked over to see two little girls looking at him, intimidating by him.

"What?" He asked and they ran away.

Seiya rolled his eyes at him and walked off.

Who cares if I'm not popular with the children. I only want to be popular with her, Ushio thought and blushed when he glanced at Mikage.

He then noticed a older boy looking at him with awe.

"Excuse me sir but are you of Sector Security?" The boy asked.

"Hmmm? Yeah?" Ushio said.

"Awesome! When I'm older, I want to wear such a cool uniform like that," the boy said.

"Well, no one else looks this good in this outfit," Ushio laughed and the boy's eyes lit up.

A blur of fur ran out and jumped onto Scar.

"Jellie! You're safe!" He cheered.

"We kept her warm and fed, mister. She was safe and sound with us," one of the little girls told him.

"Thank you! I'm sure Jellie appreciate it, don't you Jellie?" Scar said.

Jellie just purred at this.

Meanwhile, Yusei turned to Martha.

"Where's everyone else?" He asked and Martha gave him a solemn look.

Inside the house, Martha began to explain what happened.

"A large black fog came over and covered a large part of Satellite. And when it cleared up, anyone that was within it disappeared without a trace. It hasn't reached here so we were spared," she explained.

"Taka, Blitz, Nerve, Rally and Crow haven't return though," Seiya added on.

Yusei bowed his head at this.

Aki looked at him with worry. She honestly hoped that his friends were ok.

"Wait, are you Senator Izayoi's daughter?" Martha noticed Aki and she nodded.

"Yes, my name is Aki Izayoi," Aki told her.

"I see. Well done, Yusei. You were able to open her heart," Martha praised him.

Aki gave him a soft smile which Martha noticed.

Martha's face then turned serious as she turned to Yusei.

"What about you? Are you ready to face Kiryu?" She asked.

"...I'm still afraid of him and his Earthbound Immortal card...but," Yusei looked around the table, "I have a lot of friends on my side-."

"Let me make it clear that we are not friends," Jack interrupted.

Then why are you here then? Joel thought.

Yusei seemed to brush it off like he was used to Jack's attitude before continuing, "with you all at my side, I know I'll be able to duel and defeat Kiryu. After all, he was once my friend too."

Martha smiled, proudly at him, "That's why you're Yusei."

She then stood up from the table. "Well it's late now so why don't you all stay here for the night? We'll have dinner before bed," Martha told all of them.

"I'll help you with dinner again!" Scar volunteered.

"Try not to poison it," Grian teased but Scar just waved him off.

Outside, Ushio was thinking about what Yusei said.

"He acts like he's all noble and stuff," he muttered but then he notices some flowers.

"A tulip? This early? Hmmmm," he plucked one of them carefully.

Maybe I can give this to Mikage, Ushio thought and blushed.

He then looked up and saw that the older kid from earlier.

"What?" Ushio asked. He then made a shooing gesture but the boy didn't go.

Ushio just rolled his eyes and turned to the corner to see Mikage and Jack talking.

"Master Atlas, back there...you said that you aren't his friend. Then why are you here in Satellite?" She asked.

"You know that I have something to do here," Jack replied.

"...I know that it's about Carly," Mikage said and looked down.

Jack didn't reply to this.

"No...listen I-," Mikage started but got interrupted by Jack.

"Enough! Listen you're taking this too lightly. I owe it to her and I will save her if she's in pain. I'm just repaying a favor...that's all," he said and walked off.

Mikage looked at him as he walked off, upset.

Similarly, Ushio just sighed upsetting. Looks like Mikage loves Jack (even if Jack doesn't love her back).

The older boy, named Takuya, looked behind them and saw that Martha was walking up to them.

She made a 'shh' gesture and when she got close, grabbed Ushio by the ear and dragged him inside where the kitchen is.

"Ow! What the heck?!" Ushio cried.

"Scar, we have an extra pair of hands!" Martha called out as Scar was getting out a pot.

"Well then, the more the merrier," Scar noted.

"Now hold on, I'm a guest," Ushio argued.

"I don't think so. Scar is technically a guest and he's helping," Martha pointed out.

"That's different!" Ushio cried but they wouldn't let him until he makes dinner.

Ushio was sent to chop up some carrots but he was too rough with them so he got bonked on the head by Martha with a spoon.

After he and Scar made the stew, Ushio checked the temperature of the stew and nearly burned himself which resulted in a bonk by Martha.

And then he got sent to clean the toilets.

"Why am I cleaning toilets?" He grumbled which Martha bonked him on the head with a plunger.

"What the heck was that for?" Ushio snapped.

"I'll help too!" Takuya said and went to grab a mop from a storage closet.

"Thank you," Ushio said before turning to Martha.

"Do you always treat your guests like these?" He asked.

"But has it taken your mind off of things?" Martha asked.

"..."

"Keeping yourself busy makes the grief of a broken heart no big deal. Everyone in Satellite are familiar with the feeling of hardships but we all find ways to cope. Take him for instance," Martha glanced over to Takuya who was sweeping the floors.

"His father died during a robbery but he never forgot how hard Security tried to save his father. That's why when he's older, he wants to join Sector Security," Martha explained.

"Oh," Ushio felt touched by that story. A little boy who has been through a lot with the loss of his father and yet finds hope for himself in the future.

But still...

"Wait but he can't join Security if he's from Satellite," Ushio pointed out.

"And? Nothing in this world is impossible," Martha said.

When Takuya finished sweeping the floors, Scar walked in and announced, "The table is set. We can give the stew out."

"Alright!" Takuya cheered.

As they were walking towards the kitchen to give out the stew, Martha was watching Scar with a look of uncertainty in her face.

Scar is always ready to lend a helping hand especially after I told him what I have told Ushio about being busy could cope with hardship. What does he hide under that smile of his? I hope it isn't anything too bad, she thought.

Later at dinner time, the children all said, "Thanks for the meal," and began to eat.

"Yum!" A little girl exclaimed.

Rua and Ruka glanced at each other before trying the stew. It wasn't too bad.

"This is good!" One of the little boys noted.

"The Sector Security guy made it with the help of Scar," Takuya said.

Everyone, except Jack, looked at him. The children looked at him with gratitude while the ones who know Ushio gave him an odd look.

Ushio slightly blushed with embarrassment before taking a spoonful of stew and quickly grabbed and drank a glass of water when he realized that the stew hasn't cooled enough.

After a while, Yusei was looking at the sight of everyone happily eating.

If we win this battle, then these kids will have a much better future, he thought.

"The Daedalus Bridge will be completed when we defeat the Dark Signers. It'll connect Satellite and Neo Domino City and you can be whoever you want to become," he said.

Everyone looked at him before Takuya spoke up.

"Yusei, you're so cool!" He cheered.

He's right. Then he'll be able to join Sector Security, Ushio glanced at Takuya before looking at Mikage. And I...

Mikage caught his eye and tilted her head in confusion.

Ushio quickly played it off as he was staring at a distance before reaching to eat a piece of his bread.

Suddenly, a strike of lightning hit which caused the glass from the window shattered.

The children screamed and some people yelped when this happened.

"What was that?" Etho asked.

Both Ruka and Joel gasped as they felt immense power coming from outside.

Everyone looked outside to see the figure of a man standing there, one of his arms glowing.

"I have been waiting for you...Signers," the man said.

"Is he a Dark Signer?" Scar asked.

"My name is Rudger. I noticed that four out of the five Signers are here so I decided to pay a visit," Rudger said and held up his arm which confirmed what Scar asked.

A spider Dark Signer mark glowed purple and the Signers gasped.

"It's just like in our vision," Yusei noted.

That means that it's happening soon. Oh no, he thought, afraid of the tragedy that will come across.

"I impose a duel," Rudger said.

"Why you-!" Jack was about to step forward when Yusei stopped him.

"No. If we duel him here, then they'll be in danger. Get the others to safety, I'll deal with him," Yusei told him.

"...fine," Jack said.

"I'll be your opponent," Yusei said and ran outside.

As he detached his Duel Disk from his Duel Runner, Aki walked up to him.

"I'm coming with you," she said and he nodded.

Jack escorted everyone else with Martha looking for rooms for them to stay in while this was happening.

"Hurry up, you three," Ushio called out to the three boys.

"Scar, get Jellie and go!" Grian called out.

"Hold on G!" Scar called back.

The three boys attempted to make sure that Scar wasn't in listening range before Takuya whispered, "We should go and get payback. They took Crow and we will avenge him."

The other two boys nodded.

Unfortunately for them, Scar heard what they were planning.

I should probably tell Martha...or better yet, stop them myself, he thought.

Later in an abandoned street, Yusei was facing off against Rudger with Aki nearby.

"DUEL!"

Yusei - 4000 LPS

V.S.

Dark Signer Rudger - 4000 LPS

The flames once again appeared and formed the shape of a spider.

This shape. It's too small to be the one from our vision, Aki thought.

Back at the house, Jack and Ruka's Signer marks began to glow.

"It's starting," Ruka said, worried.

Martha opened the door to a room and said, "We'll be safe in here."

Then the two girls looked around and said, "Takuya, Jun and Mitchan are gone."

"What?!" Martha cried.

"And Scar?" Grian asked.

"He's missing too," one of the girls said.

Martha and Jack ran out to see the spider mark in the sky.

Martha dashed out, afraid of what might happen to the children.

"Martha!" Jack called out but she didn't turned back.

"Don't worry, I got this," Ushio ran after her.

And then Grian ran out as well.

Back to the duel, Yusei took the first turn.

"I summon Shield Wing (ATK: 0. DF: 900) in defense mode and end my turn," he started.

A green dragon like monster appeared, wrapped its wings around itself and turned blue.

"My turn. I activate the Field Spell, Spider Web," Rudger said and placed a card in one of the Spell Zones, specifically one for Field Spells.

The three of them were then surrounded by a large spider web.

"I then special summon the Dark tuner, Spider Cocoon (ATK: 0. DF: 0) when you have a monster on your field but I don't. And next I summon Dark Spider (ATK: 0. DF: 0) and use its effect. I can raise Spider Cocoon's level by two so its level is now 7," Rudger said.

Is he going to Dark Synchro? Yusei thought.

"Level 7 Spider Cocoon tunes Level 1 Dark Spider! When the shadow stacks on shadows, the door to the realm of the dead opens! A world without light! Dark Synchro! Show yourself, Underground Arachnid (ATK: 2400. DF: 1200)!" Rudger shouted.

A large humanoid creature that was meshed with a spider down its waist appeared and hissed.

That's a tough monster but thankfully Shield Wing can't get destroyed until my next turn, Yusei thought but he celebrated too quickly.

"I now use its effect. Once per turn, I can target one monster you control and equip it onto Underground Arachnid," Rudger said and a thread of web got shot out and grabbed Shield Wing.

"And now attack! Hell Thread!" Rudger shouted.

The thread shot at Yusei, punching him back.

4000 —> 1600 LPS

"I set a card down and end my turn," Rudger finished.

Aki looked at Yusei with concern as he got up.

"My turn. I summon the tuner monster, Road Synchron (ATK: 1600. DF: 800)," he started.

A yellow roller like monster appeared.

"I then activate the Spell card One for One. By discarding a monster card from my hand, I'm able to special summon a level 1 monster from my hand. Go, Tuningware (ATK: 100. DF: 300)!" Yusei shouted.

A smaller monster appeared.

"And then by using its effect of when I control a tuner monster, I can special summon Quillbolt Hedgehog (ATK: 800. DF: 800)," Yusei added on.

The total number of levels of the monsters is 7, Aki thought.

"When Tuningware is going to be used for a Synchro Summon, his level can change to 2," Yusei also added on.

That makes 8, Aki thought.

"Level 4 Road Synchron tunes Level 2 Tuningware and Level 2 Quillbolt Hedgehog. Hope comes together to invite a new land! Become the path that lights the way! Drive through, Road Warrior (ATK: 3000. DF: 1500)!" Yusei shouted.

A tall, golden like humanoid figure appeared.

"3000 attack points! That's enough to take down his monster!" Aki cheered.

"Due to Tuningware's effect, I can draw a card," Yusei did just that and held it close to his face before shouting, "Battle! Road Warrior, attack Underground Arachnid! Lightning Claw!"

Road Warrior jumped over and slashed at Underground Arachnid which caused a dirt cloud surrounding the two monsters.

4000 —> 3400 LPS

When it died down, both Road Warrior and Underground Arachnid were fine but Shield Wing was nowhere to be found.

"What happened?" Aki asked.

"Underground Arachnid can use its equipped monster as a shield and it doesn't get destroyed that way," Rudger explained.

Then spider webs shot up and suspended Road Warrior and forced to take a knee where he would turn blue to signify that Road Warrior is in defense mode.

"What the?" Yusei asked but then looked up to see Rudger laughing.

"When a non-Insect monster declares an attack, at the End phase, it's forced to switch into defense mode and can't change battle positions until the End phase of your next turn," he explained.

He then added on, "By my next turn, I'll be able to use Underground Arachnid's effect again to equip Road Warrior with it and attack you directly. You'll be dancing the dance of death, Yusei Fudo!"

"...I'm not good at dancing," Yusei smirked before shouted, "I use Road Warrior's effect! Once per turn, I'm able to special summon a level 2 or lower monster from my deck!"

Despite being suspended in defense mode, Road Warrior held up a tray that expanded into a road.

"Show yourself, Turbo Booster (ATK: 0. DF: 0)!"

A small yellow machine monster appeared.

That is Rally's favorite card and a card that he gave to Yusei when he left Satellite. Yusei hoped that Rally was ok.

"I use Turbo Booster's effect! By tributing it, I can destroy a monster that you control! Go!" Yusei shouted.

Turbo Booster propelled itself at Underground Arachnid which destroyed it in the process.

As she was watching the duel, Aki heard some people running over and when she turned around, she saw two of the three boys from Martha's place.

"Oh no. Yusei, look!" She pointed and Yusei took a sharp breath in.

"No...they're in danger," he gasped.

"Because they're not Signers, they will get sacrificed to an Earthbound Immortal," Aki said.

"Heh...trap card! Altar of the Bound Deity! With this, I am able to summon an Earthbound Immortal!" Rudger laughed and a large stone alter appeared with four empty pillars.

Meanwhile in a building, Takuya was looking around for Jun and Mitchan because they have separated.

"Where are you?" He asked.

Scar was on the ground level of the building, looking for the kids.

If I find the kids and bring them home safely, maybe Grian won't be too mad at me, he thought.

Martha, Ushio and Grian had made it to the scene, looking for the children and Scar.

Jun, Mitchan, Martha thought.

Takuya, Ushio thought.

Scar, Grian thought.

Back at the battlefield, Yusei took a deep breath to calm his nerves.

There is one thing that I have to do. Win and make sure that an Earthbound Immortal does not get summoned! He thought.

A/N: whoa nilly, as my History teacher would say, that's a lot of words.

I don't really have much to say other than sorry that there isn't a lot of DesertDuo and BoatBoys content in here. I just need to build up the story revolving the Signers and Dark Signers. At some point, it'll take a canon divergence turn but at the moment, things are going as what the show was going.
