"what the fuck, jungkook?" she immediately curses as she walks towards him. they're at the park again, the night is still young, but the place is vacant, which jiseo is glad for.

jungkook sits on the bench with a puzzled expression on his face. like always, he's dressed in all black, jiseo wonders if he owns anything other than the inky color. "jiseo, what's going on—"

"you know what's going on!" she seethes exasperatedly and jungkook flinches at her sudden raised voice. "you think it's okay to that? that's messed up!"

"i—" jungkook stutters in bewilderment. "i don't understand— what's with you?"

"i saw it on tv, jungkook," jiseo says. "that guy who got stabbed in the alley, that was you who did it, wasn't it?"

jungkook's eyes widen a little at her statement. he squints at jiseo through his now hardened eyes. they brought the female's accusations, mistrust and anger furthur. suddenly it feels like all her faith in the boy in front of him dissipates like the flames of an ignited glim. she feels a sea of emotions, most likely qualm dancing in her mind as she can't help but stare at the lad with disappointment.

"how can you even say that?" he immediately objects upon hearing jiseo's words.

"wh— what?"

"you really believe i did that?" jungkook speaks in slight rage. "c'mon jiseo, i wouldn't go that far, you should know that."

jiseo stops breathing and seems to freeze into solid ice. "you... didn't do that?" jungkook shakes his head, frowns as well whilst his eyes overflow with dejection. the wind runs through the air, making his charcoal colored hair sway into a nanoscopic mess but somehow, it still looks just right, he still looks as perfect as ever, and he still takes jiseo's breath away. he makes her feel like she's drunk when she's completely sober.

the moonlight pours beautifully onto the boy's skin, making him shine like a star. "i—" jiseo starts. "i'm sorry, i just— i just assumed and— i should know that you wouldn't do that, i got too ahead of myself."

jungkook just nods in response and jiseo feels guilty. of course jungkook wouldn't do that, she ought to know that. he looks seemingly sad, and jiseo feels her chest hurt, she wonders why the lad affects her so much.

"i'm sorry," she apologizes again to break the icy silence flooding the two of them.

"it's okay," jungkook gives her a smile filled with solace.

after the short commotion, the night consists of lovely talking, comfort hidden in the midst of their words, exquisite smiles, small giggles, laughs and occasional kisses that make both parties blush. the night consists of the boy that makes her feel like the moment in concerts where the artist enters the stage, and everyone cheers in absolute happiness. jungkook is captivating and jiseo can't help but fall inlove more.

the next day, however, does not go as smoothly as she hopes. she doesn't realize it until she has a conversation with none other than namjoon, a conversation that she deems overriding and dreadful once she hears what namjoon has to offer.

it starts with meeting (to her surprise) namjoon in the restaurant that she occassionally works part-time at. namjoon orders some take-out and is in his usual charming navy colored police outfit. "ah, you work here?" he asks when he sees her behind the counter. he takes out his wallet, handing her some bills for the food he ordered.

jiseo nods, explaining how she got the job (which is through yoongi and namjoon says that he remembers the boy from the cafe the other day) and namjoon tells her he's here to just order some take-out for his colleague and himself as well.

"do you come here often? i haven't seen you."

"once or twice when i patrolled this area. after i got assigned to a different location, i guess i never came back. though, my friend wanted something for lunch and this place was nearby," he shrugs.

"oh— how is it with you and jungkook by the way?" namjoon continues as he leans on the counter, waiting for his order to be done.

jiseo gives a puzzled look and namjoon elaborates, "you know, we saw that... disturbing news at the cafe with— yoongi, did i say his name correctly? well, you met with jungkook yesterday, right?"

"are.. you and him still talking after that?" he carries on which makes the female even more confused than ever.

"what? of course we are, we argued a bit but in the end, it wasn't him. you're acting strange, are you okay? oh— and i talked to him about his past— specifically about his dad," jiseo snorts. namjoon's eyes widen when she mentions about younger male's father.

"ah, it wasn't... him," namjoon repeats and the gal furrows her eyebrows. "namjoon, are you sure you're okay?"

"it's just, kinda frightful that you still want to be with him when you know what happened to his dad."

"what do you mean? it's not— it's not that big of a deal. he said he left his dad," jiseo says. "i kinda wonder if he's still out there ya know, coping with—"

"he killed his own father," the police officer cuts jiseo off.

"what?"

"jungkook.. he killed his own dad, jiseo." he frowns. "didn't he tell you?"

"he— no," she feels her throat go dry like a desert grew inside it. "he said he left his dad— said he struggled to get enough money from the part time jobs he worked in order to leave."

namjoon looks at her, eyes flooding with despair. "jungkook lied to you, jiseo."

"no— he isn't like that. i trust him. he wouldn't— " jiseo stammers out.

"stop being ignorant, you're making a fool out of yourself. this is why i said you shouldn't be reckless when you're with jungkook. he's not who you think he is, jiseo. he's capable of so much more."

"capable of.. some many terrifying things that i, myself, can't understand how he thinks it's okay to do that. i don't understand how his thoughts works sometimes," namjoon shifts apprehensively. "god, when i saw what he did to his own father, i just— it was horrifying— even thinking about it right now makes me shiver."

"he wouldn't."

"he did— sorry kid, you have to accept reality."

"he wouldn't," she insists. she knows she, herself, is wrong however. she can't help but ponder about the fact that jungkook lied to her. all the words, they were lies. the feeling of trepidation and gloom soak her, and she thinks, perhaps he's part of more of the bad things than the good things in life.
