The next day, Nightwing didn't come check on them.

Instead Superman did. 

He stood in the corner while everyone was eating dinner.

"Where's Nightwing?" Riddler asked.

"He couldn't make it. I'm going to be here instead for a few days." Superman said and then went back to being silent.

Riddler looked at Cheetah as if to say, "I told you so!"

"When is Nightwing going to be back?" Penguin asked.

"Not sure. He was pretty busy." Superman said.

"Oh." was all anyone else said.

The rest of dinner was quiet, with the occasional clinking of silverware and plates.  

Halfway through dinner, Superman had to go because of an emergency. 

"See? Are you happy now?" Riddler asked Cheetah.

"Shut up!" Cheetah growled.

"Just because you were mean, now Nightwing isn't going to come back!" Riddler frowned.

"You don't think I don't know that?!" Cheetah growled some more. "Of course I'm not happy! Now we have to deal with Superman!"

"You have to make it up to him." Riddler said.

"What?" Cheetah and the rest of the villains looked at Riddler.

"He won't come back unless you apologize. You have to apologize." Riddler said.

"I will NOT!" Cheetah refused.

"Well then, Nightwing isn't going to come back and we'll have to deal with Superman and whoever else." Riddler said.

"Urrrggggg! I don't even like the kid!" Cheetah growled.

"You don't have to. Just tolerate him." Amanda said.

"And if you just listen, you might find out something about him." Riddler said.

"Like what?" Cheetah asked, not believing him.

"Like his life. Or his family. He's really family oriented. He has brothers and sister and even a dad. And he thinks the League is like his Aunts/Uncles." Riddler said.

"Really?" Mirror Master asked.

"Yeah. Just listen and you'll find out stuff about him. He's also a really good listener. He may not seem like it, but he is. And he tries to help out the best he can." Riddler said.

"This is true. He convinced Batman to help save Nora." Freeze said. 

"See? He's a good kid. And you'll like him. Just give him a chance." Riddler said.

"I-I...FINE!" Cheetah said.

"I'll go see if we can get Nightwing tomorrow. In the meantime though, clean up if you're done." Amanda said and took her plate to the kitchen.

She then went off to find a phone and see if Nightwing was available for tomorrow.

I know this one is short, but I wanted to get to the next chapter! :D
