Kaneki's POV

"I just want to live peacefully only eating when necessary and not being hunted like animals," I say to Touka.

"I'm worried about Hinami."

"We both are."

"This is Bullshit! Why can't those fools just try to live with us!" I say finally snapping.

"I'm going to make them understand. I'm the only one who can."

"I'll help in any way I can," Touka says hugging me

"I know."

"Like for instance, stress relief," Touka smirks as she says this.

"What about Hinami?"

"Out with Yomo."

"You planned this didn't you?"

"Who me." She says innocently.

I pick her up and place her on the bed. I lean down and kiss her.

"Yeah, you."

START. 3rd POV

Kaneki takes his shirt off and starts to attack Touka's lips as Touka starts unbuttoning her own top and takes it off leaving her in her shorts and lace black bra. Kaneki starts moving downwards kissing her neck all the way down to her bra as Touka softly moans from his actions. He easily unhooks her bra and throws it to the floor. He moves down and starts sucking on her nipple while massaging the other one. Even though this is their first time having sex they have done all sorts of foreplay and sexual activities. Renji walks back into Touka and Kaneki's room and walks to their bed. He grabs the blanket and pulls it over them.

He walks to the sliding door connected to the couple's bedroom. There he looks up at the stars and mumbles:

"Are you proud Hikari?"

The next day. Touka POV

"Oh, Shit!" I shout whisper to myself.

I look at the test in my hand again as if to make sure I'm seeing this right.

'How will I tell them?'

'Relax Touka just be yourself.'

'Everything will be okay.' I keep repeating to myself.

I stand up and fix myself before heading out.

I walk into the bedroom and see Kaneki's sleeping figure still under the covers. I walk out into the hall and turn to the left where the door to Hinami's room is. I go in there and see her still asleep as well. I smile seeing her so at peace.

"Why can't things stay this peaceful?" I ask no one in particular.

"Because some stubborn idiots don't want to live alongside us." A voice behind me says as the person wraps their arms around my back.

I jump and tense up before turning around to see Kaneki.

"I-I thought you were asleep and Put some Clothes on!!" I half yell trying not to wake up Hinami.

I push him out the door and close it just in case Hinami does wake up.

"Okay, but you know you like me like this." He says causing me to blush.

"Shut it Bakaneki," I say but I knew he was all to right it's just something about that 6 pack.

We both walk into the bedroom and he goes to the bathroom after grabbing some clothes.

I lay on the bed and get on my phone. I check the news and see yesterdays events but fabricated.

'Ghouls attack unprovoked Investigators in the 4th ward. Reinforcements called. Thousands dead,5 missing.'

"That's a load of bull," I say as Kaneki walks out the bathroom door.

"Sooo Touka what's up?" He says with a knowing voice.

I tense up.

'Please tell me I hid it.' I mentally say.

"Touka I know."

'Damn'

I feel him walk over and he hugs me.

"I can't believe we're gonna be parents." He says voice full of joy.

"I don't know if I'm ready," I say.

"It's okay you have me and Hinami will help too." He crawls over me and lays beside me before hugging me again.

"You're right. I don't know why I was worried."

"You don't have to worry I won't leave, plus we'll make great parents."

"What should its name be?"

"We can talk about that later as a family."

We stay like that for a few minutes in each other's arms enjoying each other's warmth. I check the time, 11:03

"It's 11:00 should we wake up Hinami?" I ask.

"Yeah sure."

We get up and head to Hinami's room. I open the door and see Hinami still asleep but she seems to be having a nightmare. I walk over to her and I hear her softly whisper, "Mama." I know she's talking about Ryouko, not me. I shake her gently and call her name causing her to wake up. She looks around a single tear in her eye before she sees me. She immediately jumps and hugs me.

"It was just a nightmare. I'm here for you." I say patting and rubbing her back. I notice her calm down but she doesn't move from that spot.

"Hinami we aren't trying to replace your parents but Ryouko and Asaki aren't going to come back," Kaneki says.

"I-I know but I still m-miss them."

"I know it's hard to get over the loss of a parent but you can't grieve forever," I say remembering my own parents.

"I don't remember my Dad but my Mom overworked and died I was raised by my Aunt and Uncle who hated me. I resent my Mom for that."

"My Mother was killed by an Investigator so Ayato and I were raised by our Father until he too died then Mr. Yoshimura took us in."

"How long did you grieve?" Hinami asks.

"There was no time to grieve I sucked it up and surrounded myself with books," Kaneki says

"Same I had to take care of Ayato then he ran away and I focused on school."

"I can bring you some of my books if you want."

"Schools out of the question since our faces are in the CCG database as ghouls."

"O-Okay I'd like that Big Brother."

Kaneki goes and grabs a couple of his books and comes back a little while after holding some Sen Takatsuki's books.

"I grabbed some of the easier ones." He says handing her one named "Monochrome Rainbow." and another one called "The Hanged Man's MacGuffin."

"Okay, I'll ask you if I need any help."

"Okay, I won't mind in fact it should be fun," Kaneki says and for a second I see a flash of the old Kaneki before the Aogiri Tree incident.

I smile at the two. I think we really are becoming more of a Family.
