So my sister, right? She's 34 and recently started dating this awesome guy she's known since high school, which we were all waiting for. They are absolutely perfect together.

At Christmas dinner tonight, they officially told us that they're getting married in May!

ENGAGED!

HITCHED!!

It's not a typical wedding. (Short details: I'm technically a stepsister except we're closer than that, and my dad's initial partner was un poco loca, my sister wants to go get married alone with her spouse on a special trip and then have a party back home).

At the back home party, I'm gonna be the maid of honor!

The best part is that I used to think that my soon to be brother-in-law, despite having Japanese ancestry, was my actual blood brother. I've known him that long! And now we're really gonna be related!
