I was gonna post something exactly at midnight last night but then I forgot to (I was up that late though, my body doesn't get tired easily?? Not that 12 is very late)

So, 2018, am I right?

I'm pretty excited for some things, the main one being Ready Player One in March since I literally just finished the book, it only took a day and a half because I got so invested HOLY HECKERONI IT'S SO EIGHTIES EVERYTHING AND I LOVE IT, I obviously didn't get most of the references because I'm not educated in pop culture but the ones I did were awesome, Spielberg was mentioned IN THE BOOK and Simon Pegg is gonna be in the movie this better be good

At the same time though, we're  starting the trig portion of geo trig soon, I have two terrible physics projects to dread as well as way too many English-History ones, and the half of the Spanish curriculum taught by the second and third replacement teachers, aka the one who couldn't teach and the one who didn't teach. But I'm not complaining. I'll get through it, hopefully.

Oh yea! First semester's done so I'm gonna do six quick class reviews! I'd recommend skipping this part because, I mean, come on, you know you want to

Spanish 1
Final grade: 98.7%
Teacher: not perfect, a little elementaryish, but such an improvement from last year
Overall: my easy class! Also I'm a latinaboo so it's always fun

Geo/Trig Honors
Final grade: 90.5%
Teacher: an absolute blessing. She loves Zelda, Harry Potter, conspiracies and Stranger Things and has her room decorated accordingly.
Overall: I barely escaped with an A but it was such a fun experience.

English 1 Honors
Final grade: 85% or so (I'm so embarrassed at this terrible thing that I don't want to check grrr)
Teacher: not as good as last year's, which is not something I say a lot, but still plenty nice and informative. Got on hilarious tangents, unironically enjoyed our local meme's ironic vlog channel, and was probably more suited to elementary.
Overall: I understood Homer's and Shakespeare's vernacular so I'd call that an achievement. Projects, especially ones that also went in for history too, crippled my grade.

World History Honors
Final grade: 87% or so (see above)
Teacher: lots of people don't like him as a person because he has a lot of girl favorites and none of the male persuasion but I honestly enjoyed him like I would a quirky character, although he did not like my general quietness and lack of participation (or my RBF)
Overall: the lectures were legitimately interesting, the curriculum was awesome, and all I hated were the grade-killing projects

Studio Art 1
Final grade: 99.5%
Teacher: the actual best, complete with an awesome accent, real experience and perfect knowledge of the subject
Overall: my first art class I've loved for the class and not just the fact that it has the word 'art' in it in years. After my childish K-8 school experience, I like to call our exposure to real materials "not having to use the safety scissors". I've loved every project we did, even the painting ones. I'm terrible at painting!

Physics First Honors
Final grade: 89.3%
Teacher: I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who was ever scared by him, but he. Is. Amazing. He's been teaching so long that my sister's fiancé had him (speaking of, the fiancé's sister had my art teacher whoop whoop) and he knows the stuff.
Overall: my most dreaded class yet most fulfilling one. It moved really fast – my dad stuck me in honors WHY DAD WH – so I never expected my early-on 81 to move up to almost rounding worthy. The labs were a pain because I never knew what I was doing but I aced the easy equations.

There, there, I'm done rambling about my school experience.

I don't really have any real resolutions, I guess to work on my jealousy complex. That's about it.

Happy 2018 everyone!
