Harry was freaking out. Eleanor's parents wanted to meet him. It wasn't like Harry hadn't met his friends parents before, he had met all of Ron's family and met Hermione's parents but they were under different circumstances. He hadn't even met Eleanor properly yet, so how was he expected to last a whole evening under the scrutiny of Eleanor's parents and brother? Harry really didn't want to go but he also hated letting people down and after what he had put Eleanor through, he thought it was the least he could do to try and make it up to her.

Dear the girl who hates her brother,

Your brother loves putting you in difficult situations, doesn't he?

And sure, I'll sit through dinner with your family. It might be nice, though I do have a feeling your parents aren't too happy with me at the moment. After all I am just a random person writing letters to their daughter so I can't really blame them.

And I'm glad for your vote of confidence about the Yule Ball coming up. It's tomorrow night and I'm dreading it but at least I know that you believe in me and won't be laughing when you imagine me dancing. And I'd much rather we both made fools out of ourselves if we went together than just making a fool of myself on my own.

I did manage to find a date to the ball but we're going just as friends. At this point I'm just thinking of throwing in the towel and faking being ill, or you know my own death. After all desperate times call for desperate measures.

Anyway I better get going now, got to polish those dancing shoes up for tomorrow.

From,

the boy who hates dancing.

(Harry's such a sarcastic little shit)
