"Hello...?"

Eleanor smiled as she heard the hesitation in the persons voice. She knew it was Harry because he said that he would be using the public phone in a bar and Eleanor could already hear the rumble of voices in the background.

"Hey, Potter. Good to finally talk to you properly." Eleanor surprised herself with how calm her voice was coming across, even though she felt very nervous.

"Yeah it is. You have a nice voice."

Eleanor couldn't help but snort. "Real smooth, Potter." She laughed but her heart did skip a beat.

Harry laughed along too but he sounded awkward. "Sorry, I didn't mean to say that out loud."

Eleanor smiled as she heard Harry's laugh. It made her heart soar for some reason. "If it's any consolation, Potter, I think your voice is pretty nice too."

The conversation flowed easily from there and the two talked about anything and everything. Eleanor rolled her eyes when she heard Harry apologise again for lying to her and replied with; "I don't care anymore as long as you tell me the truth when we meet in the summer." Harry promised to so Eleanor was satisfied.

They talked on the phone for over two hours, Eleanor not moving from her couch and Harry hogging the phone in the back of the Three Broomsticks, glad no one else needed it.

Harry soon had to end the conversation though as he claimed he had to go back up to school to catch dinner. The two said their goodbyes and promised eachother they would definitely do this again.

The two teenagers were grinning as they put down the phone, feeling closer to one another than ever before...

(Short but sweet I think. Hope you enjoy. Until next time...)
