I sat in my chair silently, watching Black Canary intently, my gaze flickering between her and B.E.M, who was standing behind her leaning on the back of the chair.

"So, any thoughts?" Black Canary finally asked.

"Society is starting to disappoint me," I said casually looking at my nails.

"And what is it about society that disappoints you so much?"

"Maybe because we collectively think the Justice League was our protectors, even when everyone knows they can do more harm than good. Or maybe I'm just seeing things I didn't before."

Black Canary stared at me, wide eyed and visibly pale. I smirked at her reaction.

"Good job (Y/n)" B.E.M complimented. I nodded in response.

"What?" I questioned the still silent Black Canary, "Are you going to tell me this is some kind of post traumatic stress brought on by my experiences with the Brain, the training session, or maybe even the Joker. Here's the thing, I'm fine. Besides I think you know demons are real. They live inside of all of us, and sometimes they win."

"It seems that your personality is being affected by the demon." She finally stated. "You've become more rebellious."

B.E.M snorted at that, and I couldn't help but laugh. I leaned forward in my chair, my voice a low whisper.

"I am the demon," a sick smile spread across my face, "I became the monster I feared most, so I could feel like I had a choice. I didn't act fast enough when Zatanna put the helmet on, so I wasn't going to let that happen again."

"Show that you're becoming darker, more evil, yet you stay here." She pointed out.

"I may be on the angels side, but don't think for one second that I am one of them, one of you. I'm not even human, I just look like one. I don't have their morals."

"I see... Let's talk about Robin," she changed the subject.

I perked up and a genuine smile appeared on my face. I then slouched down in my chair and scowled at her.

"I see what you're doing, you're trying to find the good, snuff out the bad, news flash, that will never happen, it's a part of me. How's that for therapy."

I stood up and walked out of the room. My eyes at some point during the session- I'm assuming when Black Canary paled- my eyes turned black.

Black Canary's P.O.V

I went through the zeta tube to the Watchtower. The league was there awaiting my arrival.

"She continues to struggle. Her views have changed, become darker. But she brightens when talking about... close friends."

"Continue to watch her closer," Batman ordered, "we are all worried."
