I jumped out and yelled, "surprise!"

I was Wally's sweet 16 and all he did was flirt with Megan. I couldn't help but laugh at his attempts and Megan's cluelessness. I rolled my eyes and gave Zatanna a piece of cake.

"You okay?" I asked gently.

"Fine."

"I know when people are lying Zatanna," I giggled, "I know you're upset about your dad, but he'll always be here, whether you feel it or not."

I gave her a hug and dismissed myself to go sit by Robin, who was eating his cake.

"Wally is really taking advantage of his birthday." I commented.

"Yeah... yours is coming up."

"New years is awhile away." I laughed leaning back on the couch.

"Come one, being born on New Year's at midnight, isn't that strange to you."

"Everything is strange in our lives." I sighed closing my eyes for a minute.

We stood up and walked over to Artemis and Zatanna who were talking.

"I'm gonna tell him." Artemis smirked.

It didn't take a mind reader to know she was going to tell Wally about Megan and Conner being together.

"On his birthday too," I chuckled.

Artemis nodded and walked over to him. She leaned down and whispered something in his ear. His eyes widened and he groaned.

"Attention team; suit up. Polar stealth."

We changed into our polar suits, then made our way to the den (that's what I'm calling the whatever area).

"Major snowstorms are occurring in North America. We believe they are being made by these 5 machines." A hologram showed a large machine with snow coming out of hatches on it.

"Can't the Watchtower just blast it out of the sky."

"The league's orbiting headquarters is no weaponized, and with both Green Lanterns off world we need all hands on deck." Batman explained.

"Does that mean the team is fighting side by side with the league?" Robin asked. We didn't get an answer, not the best sign.

"Superboy, take the super cycle and meet the batplane at fortress one. You'll drop off Robin, Aqualad and (H/n) and continue on with Wolf to meet Black Canary and Red Tornado at fortress two. Miss.Martian, Artemis and Zatanna take the bio-ship to meet with Green Arrow and Martian Manhunter at ice fortress three. Other leaguers will deal with fortresses four and five."

"Uh Batman I think you missed-"

"Kid Flash, a young girl in Seattle is in desperate need of a heart transplant. You'll need to pick up the donor heart from Boston and run it three thousand miles across country."

"Sucks to be Wally." B.E.M smirked and I nodded in agreement.

Happy birthday Wally.

I got on the supercycle and rode towards fortress one. Once we arrived the battle began.

It was easier for me since snow is water, use their own weapon against them.

I bent the snow at the cannons taking them out. It wasn't hard to be honest. Once it was gone I still hoped that there would be snow. Winter was a fun time of the year and everyone at the cave loved it.

We all flew back to the cave after that. I couldn't help but wonder if Wally had finished his mission in time. I chuckled at the thought, he was probably sulking back at the cave and eating his leftover birthday cake.

When we arrived at the cave Wally ran around yelling about how he saved an entire country. I sighed. Not fair, not fair at all.

I made sure that Robin was still in his thermal gear and grabbed his hand dragging him out of the cave through the hangar door. The cold air stung may lungs, but I still took in a deep breath.

"What are we doing out here?" Robin asked.

I pointed to the top of the mountain, "we're going to climb. Come on."

I smiled and started hiking up the mountain Robin following behind me. The higher we got the more we had to work. I looked down to Robin who was just below me.

"Why couldn't you just earthbend us up there." He grunted climbing up a bit more.

"Because it won't be as rewarding when we get up there." I breathed.

We were close to the top by now, I was sure my cheeks and nose were red from the freezing cold. I grabbed another jutting rock and pulled myself up. I sighed in relief when I felt flat land beneath my feet. I had made it to the top. I leaned over the edge of the mountain and held my hand out for Robin.

I pulled him up and we lied there in the snow catching our breaths. I suddenly started laughing, I turned to Robin and pushed myself up. He followed my lead and I grabbed his hand pointing towards the sky which was painted a beautiful orange, and pink. The sunset glowed on the water of Happy Harbor.

"Isn't it beautiful." I whispered turning to look at Robin.

"You are," he replied then realized what he said, "it is, the sunset, the sunset is beautiful."

I giggled and sighed happily. At that moment I didn't worry about B.E.M or choices, it was just me and Robin, and I couldn't ask for anything else.
