The clock kept ticking.

It's been three hours since she's last checked her email. She was itching to open her laptop and see whether he responded, but she promised herself that she'd stop obsessing over him.

She sighed and shifted from her position on her queen-sized bed, turning around to face the wall. Her mind immediately began to think of her old friends.

Even though Suna was a great city, and Sakura already made three friends, she couldn't help herself. Leaving Konoha was not as easy as she thought it would be.

Her mind shifted back to Sasuke. Did he read her email? Did he respond yet? What does he think of her now?

That's it, she thought, getting irritated as she sat up, no more waiting.

She opened up her laptop and clicked the power-on button. Just as she was about to enter her password, the bell rang.

"Sakura," her dad called from his bathroom. He was in the shower. "Can you please open the door?"

She groaned. Entering her password rapidly, she clicked the enter key and jumped to her feet. She raced downstairs, wanting to finish quickly so she could check her email.

Sakura opened the door. "Yes-"

She froze, a small gasp escaping her throat.

It was him.

It was Sasuke.

Her jaw dropped. What was she supposed to say? Luckily, she didn't have to.

The next thing she knew, she was being embraced. Sasuke hugged her tightly. He never wanted to let her go.

"I'm sorry," he whispered.

Sakura's shocked face morphed into one of happiness. Those two words were enough for her. Those two words were enough to mend their broken bond.
