*gently strokes your face*

There's nothing wrong with having a crush on one of your friends. One might even say that a friend is the best person you can fall for.

But.

Being their friend does not entitle you to a relationship with them. Being a "nice guy" does not entitle you to a relationship with whoever you want. A relationship takes two people who mutually want to be together.

If you ask out that friend you've been crushing on or confess your feelings and you get turned down, it's okay to be sad about it. But attempting to act pitiful and depressed to guilt your crush into going out with you? Not okay.

If you get turned down, the best thing you can do is take it gracefully and remain friends just as your crush would like. After all, if you actually really cared for them, then being friends would be just fine with you, right?

If you were an actual "nice guy" like you believe yourself to be, then you wouldn't resort to guilt-tripping, threatening your crush's close friends, or attempting to pull a stunt that could be considered blackmail to go on a date. That's pretty much the opposite of nice.

You won't get a date by doing stuff like that. What you will get is your crush's opinion of you lowered rather quickly. So just don't do jerky stuff like that, okay?

*pats your cheek*

Good talk.
