Their eyes broke apart...

Embarrassingly both started doing the customs that they had to do it together....

Meena and suji gets the akshathai and gives to everyone in the hall...

Iyer : rendu perum senthu intha sami ku harathi kaaminga...

Iyer gave the harathi plate to kathir and mullai....

They got it in hands, did as he said and gave it back to him....

Iyer gave some flowers to them..

Iyer : intha poova samiku sevichutu nalla sami kumbitukonga.....

Kathir and mullai offered the flowers and started praying with eyes closed...

But the truth is they couldnt pray anything as such..

Both opened their eyes smiling at eachother...

Meena and suji came back to stage after giving akshathai to everyone off stage...They distributed to people on stage and gave back to iyer....

Iyer : neenga elam thaaliya thottu kumbitutu kudunga...

He gave to parvathi... Everyone on stage did as he said and gave back to him...

Iyer : ipo neenga rendu perum thaaliya thottu kumbidunga...

Kathir and mullai looked at eachother and touched the thirumangalyam for the first time leaving them spellbound...

They know they are just in their last few seconds to be offically husband and wife....

They felt like everything around them were happening in slow motion....

Can a heart go into turbulance and tranquility at the same time....

Yes it can...

Kathir and mullai are experiencing it now...

Having their love beside, Slowly all the nervousness, confusions, etc started to fade away...

Happinesss took over...

The happiness of marrying the person who they love the most....
The happiness of marrying the person with whom they fight a lot...
The happiness of officially becoming life partners and in turn partners in crime...
The happiness of getting married in a way they wished....
The happiness of having their loved ones happy on their marriage....

The happiness of being just happy on their special day....

Kathir and mullai's eyes was flickering with all these happiness...

When this conversation was going on,

L : parvathi.... ithunga rendum yena sonalum thirunthathunga polaiye... manamedai la ukanthu kaathai pesitu irukunga...

P : athachi.. neenga vera... sandai podama kathai pesarangale nu santhosha padunga...

Everyone guffawed at parvathi's remark still kathir and mullai in their own world unaware of things happening around....

Ka : ipadi sirikarame... ipo kuda suthi nadakaratha kanduka mattengaranga...

Me : athan kathir mullai...

Mu : sari sari vidunga.. rendu perum santhoshama iruntha sari than....

L : aama muruga sari ah sonne...

Sametime iyer finishes the final rituals...

Iyer : mapilla thaali ah eduthukonga...

Kathir takes thaali in hands glancing at mullai who was smiling at him.....

Both take a deep breath...

Iyer : kettimelam kettimelam....

Mangala vaathiyam started...

It was raining with akshathai and blessings on them....

Kathir tied the thaali to mullai looking at her with varied set of emotions....

His eyes never moved out of her face registering even her minute reaction in his heart...
Suddenly he felt like his love to her is getting multiplied every second seeing her...

Mullai's eyes started pouring out unknowingly in contrast to the wide smile on her lips...

It was not only mullai's eyes that shed tears...
Her eyes were joined by lakshmi and murugan...

L : muruga...

She held her brother's hand affectionately who clasped her hands in return...

Parvathi controlled her emotions flowing through eyes as tears but let it flow through lips as smile.....

She went for a warm hug for her daughter to show her happiness and wiping the happy tears of her girl....

All others were beaming widely at the scene of marriage...

K : adiye en alagu pondatti.. nalla siri de.. inum alaga irupe...

Mullai smiled at his words more and her tears stopped eventually.....

Iyer : mapilla... intha kumkumatha nethila, thaalila vechu vidungo...

Kathir took kumkum, moved his hands around her neck and kept it on her forehead...

Their first touch as husband and wife made them feel heavenly...

Iyer : ipo thaaliya kaila pidichuko ma... neenga veinga mapilla...

Mullai held the thaali in her fingers and kathir kept kumkum on it...

Kathir's eyes fixed on mullai with his thaali...
His dream....
His wish....
That too his first wish ever for himself in his life came true......

Unknowingly his eyes became moist...

Once the main ritual got over, a excitement and joy flushed over to all around.. They started teasing kathir mullai and enjoying their reaction....

Kas : mulla rendu perum elunthurenga... homam suthi varanum...

Me : aaru maasama ivanga suthatha sutha... nalla suthuvanga....

M : ne vanguve enkita....

They both got up , clutching their hands and took seven rounds around the agni....

Ka : yelu round mudinjuthu... chumma suthite irukenga....

Me : kai ah pidichathula maranthutanga pola...

Ka : anne pothum ne..
Sikiram mudi... vita night vara suthuva pola...

Kathir glared at kanna..

J : dei.. unaku neram sari illaa... adi vanguve avan kita... pesama poidu...

Ka : heehehe.... chumma jolly ku...

K : appuram vechukaren una....

Iyer called them for next ritual....

Iyer : yelu aadi mudinjuthu illaa.. ipo mapilla um ponnum inga vanga...

He called them near ammikal....

Kathir beamed at mullai as if he was expecting this for long time...

Suj : mulla... kaala ah kaalu mela vei de... mapilla metti podunga...

San : aama aama kaala ipave pidichu palagikonga mapilaa....

A Roar of laughter...

Kathir and mullai blushed at the comment...

Kathir kneeled down near the stone and held her foot..

Mullai lifted her saree a little to make her new anklet visible sametime kathir slided the toe ring into her toe admiring the beauty of her foot with the anklet and toe ring...

He lifted his head and twisted his brows in admiration...

Mullai shifted her another leg to the stone and kathir put her the other toe ring too...

K : nee veetuku than eh varuve... anga iruku unaku... romba bayam vitu pochu...

Ka : athu apuram paapom.. sari next yena...

Iyer : aduthu arunthathi ah paathitu vanthudunga.. avalo than mudinjuthu....

Ka : who is that arunthathi... avangala yen ivanga poi paaakanum... avanga vanthu paaka mattangala...

Everyone laughed out loud....

Iyer : athu oru nakshatram thambi.. poi paathutu vanga...

Ka : nakshatram epadi pagal la theriyum...

Iyer : intha thambi nalla buthisalaithanama pesuthu...

Ka : haha thanks...

They left to the entrance of the mandapam...

Iyer : sari ulla pongo... enoda sadangu elam mudinjuthu.. aduthu ungaluthu etha iruntha parunga...

Kas : engaluku ini veetula than nga.... inga ethum illaa...

Iyer : appo sari...

They went inside the mandapam and by that time they could feel every ritual they did gave a different heavenly feel inside bonding them more as husband wife from lovers...

With a feeling of satisfaction, they stepped into the stage again for next proceedings...

Following was more like reception with guests presenting them with gifts and taking photos along with the couple...

The mandapam was heavily crowded with all relatives, friends and neighbors...

Mullai's friends came over the stage with gift... She introduced everyone to kathir and finally the one who teased him a lot previously and kathir scolded mullai for that...

M (naughtily): ithu yaru nu niyabagam iruku illaa...

K (smiling) : marakuma.... nalla niyabagam iruku..

MF : sorry ne.. appo etho theriyama pesiten...

K : paravala paravala... na athelam maranthuten..

They spoke for sometime and left the stage....

K : antha ponna paakum bothu than ne yena epadi elam kindal paniruka nu niyabagam varuthu.... apadi kindal panavala poi kalyanam panikitane...

M : oh ho...varuthama iruko...

K : aama...

M : na than aaru maasama sonane vera yaravatha poi kattiko nu... yen kekala.....

M : pothum pothum... aalunga varanga....

Guests started coming again...

It took more than 2 hours to finish off with the so called reception and photo session...

M : yenala mudiyala mama.. kaal valikithu... pasikithu vera..

K : nee than eh neraya per ah kupidanum na.. apuram yena panrathu... poruthuko.. avalo than mudinjuthu ... inum namma veetu aalunga matum photo edutha pothum..

M : hmmm sari....

Finally photos were taken with family members while kanna was coordinating with photographer....

Mu : photo eduthu mudinjuthu ilaa chinna mapilaa...

Ka : mudinjuthu mama.. avalo than....

Mu : appo poi sapidalam vaanga mapilla.. ammadi mulla.. mapilla ah kutitu vaaa....

P : aama mapilla....sapitutu kelambalam... 12 maniku kula nalla neram veetula vilaku ethanum...

They left to dinning to have their breakfast...

Kathir and mullai sat near eachother and started eating immediately without a word as they were very hungry....

K : namma mudhal rathiri ah nenachuko vekkam varum...

M (smiles shyly) : ne irukiye...

Photographer : anni ithe than.. ipadiye utunga.. ore photo...

She feds him again with a shy smile...

Photographer leaves the place happily...

M : happada.. poitan...

She takes the sweet from kathir's leaf....

M : Unaku ooti ooti ye enoda sweet gali agiduchu... venum na vera vangiko...

K : adi paavi... evalo paasam de unaku...

Kanna and dheena finished their breakfast and came back....

Ka : appuram anni... rendu perum ootikalaiya...

M : dei pesama poidu soliten... pasi la aluthuduven appuram...

Ka : enaku antha feeling nalla puriyum anni.. romance la intha kannan disturb panuvan...aana sapidum bothu disturb pana mattan...

They finished eating with little chats with everyone and came back to the hall....

After sometime, they vacated the mandapam and left to the house...

Kathir and mullai got into along with jeeva, meena and kannan in one car...

Jeeva in driver seat, meena near him, kanna ,mullai and kathir in the rear seat... they started to home...

All others left before them....

Jeeva and meena were speaking among themselves and kanna was busy with his phone...

Mullai held kathir's hand tight...

He clasped her hand tight.. she could feel his fingers trembling... she turned to see his eyes which was damp as expected...

M : athu sari... appo ne mudhala enna kalyanam panikariya nu kekama irunthu iruntha epadi irunthurukum nu na yosikatuma...

K : nan than ketane..

M : nanum than sari nu solitane.. kalyanam kuda agiduchu.. ipo poi nadakatha onna pathi pesi varuthapatutu iruke... sariyana loose mama ne...

K(smiling sheepishly): athu yenamo sari than...

M (naughtily) : yena ne loose ngrathu sari ah....

K (smiling) : pode...

M : aama yellathulaiyum kallu madhiri iruka ne yen nan na mattum ipadi karanju poidare.... ipadi yosikare.. ipadi alare.. ipadi sirikare.. inum yena yenamo... elame enkita matum... enakaga mattum...

K : yenna ne ennoda mulla de...

Without any reply, she removed her hand from his hand and hugged his arm tight....

A feeling of serenity swept through them...

The car stopped....

They got down happilly to enter their house as husband and wife for first time...
