Lily came to Amy's room to do the homework together but Lily was not wholly convinced with the reason Amy told.

Oh God! What if she had seen me going to the witchland? It will be a great problem. Our secret will be out.

"What happened Lily? What are you thinking?" Asked Amy, suspiciously.

"Oh, nothing! Let's start the homework," Lily quickly changed the topic.

Amy was about to argue but at that moment, the maid came inside Amy's room and said, "someone has come to meet you, miss"

They both got up and went downstairs.

A handsome boy was standing on the door.

"Oh hi, Gilbert!" Said Lily blushing.

"Hello, Lily!" Replied Gilbert, smiling. "And who is this?" He asked looking at Amy.

"Oh! I am Amy, Lilly'cousin. I will live here form now on."

"I don't think you live in this country. You have such a cute accent," replied Gilbert, smiling.

"Yes, I am not. I am new here," said Amy smiling.

"Anyways, I live nearby and was here to ask Lily whether she would like to go to the park with me as I was very bored and since you are also here, you should also come with us!" Said Gilbert, enthusiastically.

"Yes alright, we can complete out homework afterwards. And I can make new friends!" Said Amy.

Gilbert smiled and the three of them went to the park which was half a mile away.

The path which leads towards the park was very beautiful. It has trees on both the sides forming a canopy. The birds were chirping very melodiously. The air was so clean.

"So Amy, why did you come and live here?" Gilbert asked.

"Oh! Well, it's. I.. My parents died. And me..... there was no one to take care of me and these are my only relatives," Amy stammered, tears coming in her eyes.

"I am so sorry Amy! Please don't cry! I should have not asked that! And I am so sorry for your loss!" Replied Gilbert.

"It's alright!" Said Amy, trying to calm herself.

Soon they reached the park. It was huge with a big, beautiful fountain in between. There were various kinds of flowers whose fragrance filled the whole garden. There were many children playing on the swings. Some people were sitting on the benches.

"Oh, it's such a beautiful place!" Amy exclaimed. "I already love this place!"

"Oh look! There are my friends, Jerry and Anne. Let's go to them!" Said Gilbert.

The three of them ran towards Jerry and Anne, who were sitting on the bench.

"Hey, Gilbert! Hey Lily! How are you both!" Asked Anne

"Oh, we are fine!" Look we have a new friend! Her name is Amy" said Lily.

"Hi, Amy! I am Anne, Anne with an e" said Anne, shaking Amy's hand.

"It's nice to meet you, Anne and Jerry. Jerry, won't you speak something?" Said Amy.

"Oh! Well hi, I am Jerry! Nice to meet you, Amy!" Said Jerry.

"Well, I already knew that much!" Said Amy, laughing.

"He is very shy Amy," said Anne, laughing.

"Well, how you all know each other?" Asked Amy.

"From school. I was absent today so we didn't meet there" said Anne.

"Oh I didn't see Jerry or Gilbert either," said Amy.

"You must have not noticed me. I am in your English class" said Gilbert.

"Yeah must be a mistake," said Amy.

And like this, they all chatted till the sun was about to set.

"It's about to be dark. Let's go home," said Lily, getting up. Then all of them went back to their homes.

Amy and Lily were so tired and hungry that they quickly washed their hands and went to the dining room to have dinner and after that, they quickly completed there homework and went to bed.
