"Baby girl...!!" Avu entered her room with joy. "What my baby thinking so deeply??" She sat near Sam. Sam's face was dull and it reflected sorrow.

"Baby, are you alright?" She took her in her arm and checked whether she had fever but she was fine. "What happened Sam? Did your teacher scold you or again any clash with your friends? What happened baby?" Her anxiety increased.

"Nothing mommy, I missed you" Sam said hugging her tightly. Avu still felt that something was wrong. She pattered her back and consoled her. "Don't worry baby, do you want mommy to take leave tomorrow. Shall we go out somewhere?" She asked to console her.

"No mommy, don't want. Tomorrow I have dance class, I want to attend it" she said softly. "OK then I will take you to the exhibition this Sunday, happy?" she asked looking at her face. Sam nodded with smile but Avu felt her excitement in as missing in her face. She prayed nothing should happen to Sam.

Avu fed Sam her dinner and made her sleep in her embrace. Her heart still thought about her sad face. Sam is not the type of person to think about something and being sad but she felt that something is bothering her.

Next day,

Avu left to office early since she had some meeting. Office environment turned so funny after Ashi's visit. She used to chitchat with every staffs and she will crack funny jokes and kept the situation more flexible and friendly.

Everyone enjoyed her presence except Anu. Anu felt some insecureness from the day she joined. Avu noticed Anu's behavior but didn't comment and thought she herself open up her thoughts some day. She concentrated on her work.

Her mobile buzzed while she was busy is her work. She attended the call, she was thunderstruck and stood speechless like a statue. "Which hospital ma'am?" Her voice was shaking while tears were freely flowing down towards her cheeks.

Anu noticed her and rushed towards her. "Avu what's wrong?" She asked holding her hands. "Anu let's go, it's an emergency. Sam is in hospital" her voice came out with several struggle. Anu was shocked yet consoled her and took her out. Avu was totally broken throughout the journey. Anu consoled her.

They hospital in next fifteen minutes. "Doctor, where is Sam? She is fine right?" She asked nervously. "Cool down Avneet, she is fine now" he said making her feel alive. "Thanks a lot doctor, shall I see her?' She asked. "You can but before that I want to talk with you" he said. Avu nodded.

"Look Mrs. Avneet, you know that Sam was born with several complications and I'm saying this again. You should take care of her, you shouldn't leave her depressed that will cause several disorder in her" he said leaving her in shock.

"She was not OK Avneet, something is bothering her. She is very young to handle this situation, she is over thinking about something. You should take care about that Avneet, she is thinking something so deeply for several days which make her weak. Today she was fainted because she was in the extreme depression" he said confusing Avu.

She remembered Sam's face, she told felt Sam was disturbed. "I'll take care doctor. I'll not let any bad thing happen to her" Avu said seriously and left the room.

Avu reached the room where Sam was admitted. "Sam..." Her shaky voice came out with a weep. She ran towards her and hugged her tight, kissing all over her face. "Mommy" her baby voice came slowly.

"Baby, you scared mommy alot" she said kissing her again. Sam wrapped her arm around her neck protectively. Anu reached them and consoled her patting her shoulder.

"Avu, you should be strong, don't scare her too" she said hugging her. Avu nodded and looked at her innocent calm face. "What's bothering you to you baby. Did someone scared you? Did mommy let you alone? Did I left you when you missed me?" she asked continuously. Avu, relax Anu insisted.

"I left her alone. I should have spent time with her" she said weeping. "No mommy" Sam said sadly. "Baby, don't worry. From now I'll be with you, I'll not let any bad thing near you" she said kissing her forehead.

"Sam...." There came another another shaky voice which left her shocked. Sid rushed inside, Sam's face changed once seeing him. "Daddyyy..." She got up from the bed and ran towards him with a bright smile which made her more shocked. ( A/N : I have to make both of them meet after all the threat 🤧😅 )

He hugged her tight once she reached him. "Daddy" she exclaimed happily kissing all over his face. Avu looked at them with an astonished expressions. "Daddy, why didn't you come to see me? I missed you allot. Why you didn't come?" She asked sadly.

"Sorry baby, I should have come to see you. But I failed to make you happy. I'm sorry Sam" he said with tears. "No daddy, I know you was angry with me right? You're angry cause I fought with my friend and I hit him but daddy I apologized him after mom said that was wrong. Please you too forgive me, mom was also angry bit she forgave me after I apologized" she said weeping which broke his heart.

"No Sam, how can I be angry with my angel, my princess and my world. That won't happen in my lifetime" he said kissing her cheeks.

"Hereafter don't leave me daddy. I'm missing you from the day we left grandma home" she said crying. "No baby, no, daddy will not leave you hereafter. I'll not leave you" He said hugging her nervously.

Avu was completely flabbergasted and her emotions were conflicted. She thought she punished Sam for her selfishness but her heart aches that Sam loved him that much though she knew him only few months ago. She felt like something sharp stabbing her heart.

She moved from that place and was about to leave the room but a delicate little fingers wrapped her arms. "Mommy, daddy came!" Sam looked at Avu with a smile which her forget her environment. She was lost in her happy smile, she realized that Sam is smilling so happily after several months.

Mommy, let's take daddy with us to our home mommy. Please mommy, let's be in the same house mommy she looked at her nostalgically which made her eyes wet. She cried holding her small palms when her face was full of grief and guilt. He gazed her face which was with several untold expressions.

He badly wanted to throw his arms around her, keep her in his protective embrace and kiss the worry from her beautiful face. He looked at her with same intensity of love, she lowered her gaze and caressed Sam's hair.

"Your wish is mine Sam, I'll do anything for you happiness" she said kissing her forehead.

"Woo-hoo!!! I'm going to stay with my mommy and daddy like my friends. My daddy will drop me in school everyday. Me, daddy and mommy will go for shopping, mall and theme park" Sam jumped in excitement and happiness.

Avu realized what she lost in all those four years and what she longed for all in those days. Finally she understood the reason for her illness too. She don't know whether the decision she took to live with him in the Sam house was fair but her only thought was her daughter and her well being.

She will do anything to keep her happy and healthy. She told felt what was not fair to punish Sam for their problem. She don't know whether she will forgive him but for her happiness she accepted to live in the same home.

Sam ran towards them and hugged them both with her two arms. They both hugged her back protectively. Avu caressed her hair softly, Sid pattered her back protectively.

"Now I got my daughter, soon I'll win your heart too Avu. I was wrong several times but I'll not be a wrong dad. I'll take care of my babygirl. I'll make you understand me too" he thought in his mind hugging her tight.

They discharged Sam and reached their home. Avu made Sam sleep on her bed and entered the washroom.

The grief which pressed her heart for the whole day came out inform of tears. She cried slowly, with tear dripping down her temples and the soft hum of her own voice echoing through out the washroom, she opened the tap that her weeping should shouldn't disturb Sam.

The rest of the world could be seen, drifting farther and farther away as teardrops made up her ocean. They fell into her parted lips and stuck to her eyelashes. She could taste them, rolling down her parched throat. She was alone. Everthing that happens stabbed her heart. She slowly lost her conscious.

She lost herself.

She had lost herself in and endless ocean of tears.
