Two years later, Adrien and Marinette still refuse to agree with each other. They are still at odds with each other about the silly past.  By now, Marinette's college days have been over for a while, and she has been back in Paris, for two whole years.

"Cousin, maybe she needs to know Chloe put the gum on her seat years ago," Plagg says.

"She is stubborn, clumsy, and I can not stand her," Adrien scoffs.

"Sorry, I ever said anything, " Plagg says.

      Meanwhile, with Gabriel and Natalie...

"Adrien's hatred toward Miss Dupain-Cheng is unnecessary as is her's toward him," Natalie says.

"Yes, I agree and I intend to do something about it," Gabriel says.

"What do you have in mind?" Natalie asks.

"Do not worry, leave it to me!" Gabriel says.

Marinette hears her phone buzz and sees a text from Mr. Agreste. She reads it and frowns.

"He wants me to do what?" Marinette says.

 Gabriel's text to Marinette

Your lack of trust in my son Adrien must stop!

 Gabriel's text to Marinette...

I  have hired you as my seamstress to see to it that the clothes are repaired correctly.  A task, which I am confident you will exhale in Miss Dupain-Cheng.

Marinette thinks, Mr. Agreste must be out of his mind.

Marinette's text to Gabriel

Why would you expect me to accept this job offer?

  Marinette's text to Gabriel

Why should I make clothes for Adrien when he would only refuse to wear something I have made anyway?

Gabriel smiles as he reads the text and thinks, it is just as he thought.

Back to Adrien, who is home from law school.  He passed his classes and got his degree. He passed the bar exam too.  He has yet to be hired by anyone though.

Adrien thinks, Plagg is so odd.

Adrien's text to Marinette

I meant what I said before, I never stuck the gum on your desk!

Adrien's text to Marinette

How could you believe this about me when you barely even knew me?   You did not even give me a chance to explain anything.

Adrien's text to Marinette

Look, I never told you before because I did not want you to make the situation worse.

I thought if I told you she would just use it against you. She was already mean in preschool anyway.

  Adrien's text to Marinette

I will tell you someday who she was, but not now. Just kidding, it was Chole Bougerious who put the gum on your desk!  Are you happy now?

Adrien sighs as he thinks, I only ever wanted to be her friend. He secretly loves the girl he hates.

"Does this mean you do not hate her anymore?" Plagg asks.

"Plagg, just leave it!  Do not pry where you do not belong!" Adrien yells at him.

   "Sorry, cousin," Plagg says again.

Marinette does not pay attention to the texts Adrien sends her.  She does not need to because her mind is already made up, she hates Adrien Agreste and that is all there is to it.

Tikki shakes her head at her sister's stubbornness. She thinks, Adrien and Marinette are more alike than they think they are right now. They are both stubborn as ever!
