One week later, Adrien is back from his first lawyer job. He thinks went well for him.  He was glad he was able to help Alya and NIno get the dishonest maid on her way.  He is also grateful to be back home.  The trip back was exhausting and he can not wait for things to get back to normal again.

Adrien does not know yet about his father's new worker.  He has no clue his dad hired anyone while he was out of town.  No surprise there since he and his father tend to disagree a lot.   He is in his bed and fasts asleep.

Right at  6:50 am, the doorbell rings twice, and Natalie answers the door. She smiles when she sees her and says, "Right, this way Miss, Mr. Agreste has been expecting you."

Adrien wakes up to the sound of the front door opening and closing. He checks his alarm and wonders who could be here at this time of day. He figures there is only one way to find out. He puts on a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, a belt, socks, and sneakers. He brushes his hair, puts on deodorant and heads downstairs.  He sees her as she enters the study.

The first thing on Adrien's mind is what is she doing here?  It is not like he has any reason to be happy to see her, yet he grins despite himself. He thinks, man she looks great.  He gulps and enters the kitchen.  "Father, why is she here?"  Adrien demands to know.

"Son, what are you going on about now?"  Gabriel asks as he looks up from his cup of coffee.

"Father, I mean it, why is she here?"  Adrien asks.

"Oh, by she I assume you mean my new employee. It is simple enough she will sew your clothes from here on out,"  Gabriel answers as if it is the most natural thing in the world.

"What?  This can not be happening,"  Adrien says.

"Adrien, I do not see any reasons to act all uptight about it. She is a professional and she needs the work,"  Gabriel explains.

"So, what?  She can not make my clothes and that is final," Adrien scoffs.

"Oh, the contrary son, I was the one to hire her, so she will do all the seamstress work from here on out rather you like it or not,"  Gabriel responds.

Gabriel walks off and into the hallway where Natalie informs him that Miss Dupain-Cheng is in the study.  "Ah, yes, thank you, Natalie,"  Mr. Agreste says. He then enters his study.

"Miss Marinette Dupain-Cheng, I am glad to see you are here on time,"  Gabriel states.

"Yes, well I figure it is best to be on time to work, sir," Marinette remarks.

"I am glad you are punctual, and  I apologize for my son's behavior toward the whole thing,"  He says.

"What?  Did he not already know I was to work for you?"  Marinette asks in surprise.

"No, I only just informed him of the matter. He was away on business last week, and I chose not to disturb him with the facts at that time,"  Gabriel explains.

"Is it wise for me to start today when he hardly has time to adjust to my being here?"  Marinette asks.

"Miss Dupain-Cheng, as your boss, I say you start today,"  Gabriel reminds her.

    "Yes, sir,"  Marinette responds.

"Where do I start then?"  Marinette asks him.

"I suggest you start with  Adrien's measurements.  He should be done with his breakfast shortly, so you start when he is done,"  Gabriel answers.

    "Ok, Mr. Agreste,"  Marinette says.

Gabriel smiles and says, " Go wait for him in the hall."

"Yes, I will do as you say, boss," Marinette remarks.

Marinette leaves the study and goes back to the front hall. She sits on the bench to wait on Adrien. She thinks the whole situation to be quite ironic since she cares nothing for Adrien.  It is not like she can anyway.  She hates him as she always has yet she plans to wait to do as is expected of her for the job.

Adrien exits the kitchen a few minutes later and sees Marinette. He scowls, and says, "I will pay you to quit now."  He can see her cringe at the idea.  "Come on we both know you do not want to work for him,"  Adrien scoffs.

"Junior Agreste that is where you are wrong, so I can not take your money," Marinette retorts.

"My money, my father's money what is the difference?" Adrien asks.  He tries to walk off.

"I do not care what you think right now. This has nothing to do with you other than making clothes, so stay here, and I will take your measurements,"  Marinette remarks.

"Not so fast," Adrien retorts. He rolls his eyes at her.

"You can not just expect to me, to quit on my first day," Marinette says.

"You can not expect me to let you off so easily,"  Adrien says.

Marinette glares at him, pulls out the measuring tape and holds it around his waist. She writes something down. Then,  she starts to measure the length of his arms, finishes, writes this down too, and as she tries to measure his legs, he runs.

Adrien runs away from her fast. He thinks, there is no way, I can let her finish the measurements.  He continues to get far from her and laughs because he sure she is ticked off.

Marinette chases after him. She thinks this looks bad, I am his enemy, and I have to track him down just for some silly measurements.  Talk about my first day of my job going rather crazy.
