An electric shock spread through my body like wildfire. For a moment, my body had a short circuit. Nothing responded to my brain.

Don't worry, Saffire. A dark eerie voice chided. You'll be fine. You're just responding to the waves of the death aura surrounding you.

I couldn't believe it. What aura was surrounding me? Ha, was my mind playing tricks on me? How could I, or whatever was in my brain know that there's a death aura surrounding me? The last time I checked, I wasn't unique, let alone magical or mythical. I was just the other girl who had a bad sense of humor, went to school like every other teenager and had a childhood friend! Jeez! Just the thought of a freakishly normal person like me having powers sent shivers to my spine.

Anyways, you probably want to know what happened next, not just me talking gibberish to myself, right? So, where was I again? Oh, I remember. Okay. Black fog began to appear out of nowhere, giving me the perfect chance to run away, grab Tyler and live a peaceful life. But did I do that? No! I was completely paralyzed; my legs instantly became heavy, my vision began to blur everything I saw and my senses were all messed up.

"Saffire," Julius hissed as he slowly walked towards my scythe. "What- what have you done?"

I stared at Julius, dumbfounded. "What do you-"

Bella shot me a death stare, warning me not to talk anymore than I already have. Her eyes were frightening. You should have seen them! Her eyes were like a pair of daggers that seemed to cut your soul into a million pieces, leaving nothing but a empty shell of your former self.

"Don't be silly, Julius. I mean, what can a mere human girl do? She's weak and, did I mention that she's only a human," Bella batted her eyelashes. "You must've done that. You were one of Death's 10 legendary crimson spirits, right?"

I tilted my head. Legendary what? Okay, I was sure that it was some wannabe demon who threatened me to go to hell, but I guess I was wrong. But that still didn't change the fact that he was in Tyler's body and that I was, well, probably going to die without singing properly even once or baking a cake without failing terribly. Oh well, there goes my years of hard work and life.

Saffire? Hello? This is not, I repeat is not the time for self pity! The eerie voice chided again. Your better than, well...This!

I sighed. I was absolutely confused. I mean when was the last time you heard a voice in you head talking about things you had no clue about? Probably never I hope. So what did I do? I did what I thought was great idea. I pinched myself, did three jumping jacks and kicked the scythe to see if I was dreaming. But I wasn't, so I just humiliated myself with a silly routine and hurt my foot.
