Hey everyone, thank you for giving this story a shot. I really appreciate it. 

I thought that Aurora can relate to this quote. After all, her broken pieces made her stronger.
Still broken, but working nonetheless.

Well, I was just sitting and this random idea popped in my head. silly, I know. But, I thought why not add a chapter to clear up some things, add some random lame facts and make the story even worse, lol.

FACT1: This is my first story ever. I know I published short ones before it. But, I've had the idea for Rho's story and character since 7 years ago. 

Yes, it took me 7 years to type the story and actually finish it.

FACT2: I actually started writing it in 2015 it was called: "Nyctophilia: The Key To My Heart". Which was pretty lame, tbh. And, I only typed one random chapter about Aidan catching Rho killing people while holding a pink wig. The chapter was pure dialogue. I unpublished it tho, years ago. It was so cringe-worthy. It wasn't included in this so I didn't break the rules, don't worry.

I only remembered it after I made it to the 2nd round. That's why there was a chapter of her dressed up in pink. Like a tribute to my teenage idea, lol.

Not a single part of my previous idea or story was included in this. Nada. Nichts. Nothing. Rien.

FACT3: the story now is totally different from what I've always envisioned. First, my writing style changed. My ideas did. Gosh, even the characters feel like they got out of my control at times...like they were living and existing and I was merely retelling their story not creating it.

FACT4: When I first thought of the story...I was a hardcore directioner. Don't judge me. I still like their songs tho. so, anyway, I was addicted to fanfictions. And that's what got me into writing.

FACT5: At first, this story was going to be a fanfic: 

Barbara Palvin as Aurora which is totally cliché or repetitive. But, she's my female crush and again I was a hardcore 1D fan. She was basically in every 1D fanfic.

Dean Geyer as Aidan. I saw him on Terra Nova back then and I was like dayuuum boi...I got hooked.

Patrick Wilson as Joshua and Vera Famiga as Madeleine. Liev Scbreiber or some other actor (forgot his name) as Mark. Natalia Vodianova as Laura.

Yeah, as you can see the resemblance is striking between her and Barbara.

FACT6: So, yup, you guessed it, or not. The story differed a lot from the original plot I had in my mind. Laura was supposed to be Aurora's long lost sister supposedly dead, killed by Mark.

FACT7: The original plot was, in short: Joshua refused to join the family business so Mark killed his daughter (Laura). When Madeleine got pregnant, it was kept a secret.

That's why Rho was shipped outside the country for studies. Tom, of course, was the same prick still. And then it was going to be Rho hunting down everyone for revenge while looking for her sister.

Aidan wasn't going to be any bodyguard. Just a random stranger who saw her during the day, hours before the party, in the children's playground covered in dirt while entertaining kids.

Then, when seeing her by chance there, he decided to strike up a conversation, lol.

FACT8: Rho was meant to be her real name not a nickname. And Laura, if I followed the original plot line, was going to be Bo. Lame, but I'm a huge fan of The Dark series and I wanted to name one of my characters after the MC in Dark.

For those who don't know it's a 1D fanfic.

FACT9: I don't know what I'm doing with this chapter or these facts. Ugh.

FACT10: I'm a huge fan of females who can stand up for themselves. Who doesn't want to kick ass? So, Aurora was born.

FACT11: Finishing up this novella was my ultimate goal. I just wanted to stop procrastinating and actually write something and get it done. So, after posting the last chapter, I was beyond ecstatic.

Took me a couple of days to calm down, lol.

FACT12: Aurora always assumed it was Tom who hired those men to kill her family. That's why she only went after him and tried sabotaging his deals.

FACT13: When faced with the other identity provided to her by Joshua, Aurora didn't bother with it much because there was nothing about Barbara that could lead her to anything.
So, she postponed researching it...until, she forgot about it.

And, it was a long time ago before she met Jesse who could've helped her back then.

She also didn't want to share what happened to her with anyone.

FACT14: Tom actually owns a couple of other companies while partnering with Joshua. He wanted full ownership but he had no right. It belonged to his friend who was passing it on to Rho.

FACT15: Madeleine and Joshua have been highschool sweethearts.

FACT16: Tom and Joshua have been friends since their second year in college.

FACT17: Mark wanted to have Madeleine for himself since he saw her in a summer party that she'd attended as Joshua's date after their graduation from highschool.

FACT18: Barbara was the real name of Joshua's mom.

FACT19: Madeleine didn't know the story behind Aurora. Joshua never told her. But, she suspected it had something to do with Mark. She didn't have the heart to ask, just wanted to have a kid.

FACT20: Chrissie and Mark's marriage was arranged. They clearly didn't love each other.

FACT21: Mark was molested by his mom as a kid, abused by his dad. Dysfunctional family at its best. 👌

FACT22: Their father loved Joshua's mom but his wife shipped her somewhere else to die in a brothel from an overdose.

Obviously, Joshua was treated better. Hence why Mark hated him to some extent. And, that's me putting it nicely.

FACT23: Their father was killed. Shush.

FACT24: Mark had connections everywhere. That's how he was able to get away with anything and everything.

FACT25: Aidan always had a crush on Aurora. He was the first one to actually give her the nickname Rho when talking to Joshua once. He didn't have the heart to correct her. It meant a lot to her.

FACT26: Aidan actually spoke to her once in Madrid. She just doesn't remember. He looked and sounded different in his Spanish attire.

FACT27: She also bumped into him in Australia. Again, doesn't remember. Lol.

FACT28: The first chapter was titled "crossroads" meaning that their paths crossed but didn't become one at the time. Took them years to cross paths again. And it finally became one.

FACT29: Aurora doesn't like going out when it's too much light outside. She prefers dimly-lit or dark places.

Any big source of light used to scare her at first. Now though, she's better at dealing with it.

FACT30: She refused therapy at first. But, warmed up to the idea when nightmares prevented sleep from blessing her nights.

Yet still, Aurora didn't keep a perfect score of attendance.

FACT31: I'm thinking about making this a series, what do you think about that? I already have ideas but I don't know if anyone would be interested in it since no one is basically reading this, haha. 🙄😔
