When Midnight arrived at the Book to School Party in the royal common room he was amazed.

It was always elegant-marble floors, carved columns it reminded him as sort of a fun sized ball room. But tonight it was especially enchanting. Briar Beauty had borrowed gold wire from Professor Rumplestiltskin and crisscrossed it like streamers aboard their heads providing perches for hundreds of liv birds. Enchanted ivy was slowly growing climbing up a wooden trellis in the center of the room. Beneath the trellis Melody Piper was deejaying at the turntables mixing an N-Chant single with some Lil Swain.

"Oh fairy godmother if it isn't my favourite evil royal" a voice said sarcastically. Midnight turned and saw Duchess Swan daughter of the Swan Queen the future heroine who is destined to be the only princess without a happily ever after. "Hey Duchess" he said not looking at her.

He and Duchess never got along he tried to last year but it always ended up with Duchess claiming he tried to prank her or steal her tiara. "Already to sign the book" Duchess asked smirking. "Yes" he said. "Ready to steal my Happily ever after" she asked angrily.

"Now duchess calm down" Ashlynn said. "Well excuse me but maybe you would feel differently if you were destined to fall in love only to have someone steal that person away"
Duchess said pointing at midnight

"So tell me how's mummy oh wait that's right she like daddy can't stand the mere presence of you" Duchess said smirking. Midnight felt his eyes water but he would not let Duchess know she was getting to her.

"how's mummy oh wait that's right she's stuck in the pond for the rest of her life or until at least you take her place" Midnight said smirking.

Duchess started getting angry. "That's it" duchess picked up the punch ball and poured it over him. "DUCHESS" Ashlynn Briar and Apple shouted. Midnight started crying. "Aww did I hurt the whittle black swan prince" duchess asked in a baby voice.

Lizzie has watched the whole thing and was red with anger. "OFFF WITH YOUR HEAD" she shouted. Midnight ran out as fast as he could. He bumped past Maddie and just kept going until he reached his room.

He ran into his room and locked the door. And just kept crying into his hands. he heard a knock at the door.

He opened it and saw Lizzie and Briar. "What do you guys want" he asked. "I just wanted to totally apologise for Duchess come on back to the party" Briar asked. "I'm sorry Briar but after that I'm not really in a party mood I'll see you both tomorrow" Midnight said.

"Fine but let us have Baluch tomorrow bye" Lizzie said leaving. Midnight smiled a little bit he could never understand how he a future villain got wickedly cool friends.

He closed the door and went to his mirror. " I love my destiny and my story but sometimes I wish that Duchess would just leave me alone" he said looking at his lunch covered reflection. He knew this was a fruitful wish since after all he is destined to be the Black Swan to Duchesses White Swan.

He collapsed onto his bed after changing hoping that Legacy Day rehearsal would go without a single hiccup.
