"Someone seems happy." I said with a smirk.

She blushed and looked away slightly "of course I am."

I chuckled "I know. Just stating a fact."

She didn't reply just blushed and push a lock of hair behind her ear.

We were back in the same four walls that would hold us captive for at least the next three hours before a switch.

The teacher has yet to come despite the bell having gone already. She was late not that anyone in class seem to bother. In fact it was the opposite, they were taking this advantage to do whatever they pleased. Chew gum, shout across the classroom, use their phone and a few were ready to break out into a fight.

Only a few, including yourself, we're seated at our assigned seating not doing anything remotely stupid.

My mind started to wonder off. Even though what Maki and I had wasn't really love or anything but to think she has been here for nearly a month already. That means she has to return soon, we spent so much time with these girls. I never thought about what happened when they left.

I glanced over to where she sat on my left. A small smile played on her lips as she hummed a warm and gentle tune.

There was an bang on the door and everyone turned to look up at it. I was the class monitor who went out to search for the teacher. He was panting slightly but a smile was stuck on his face.

"FREE PERIOD!" he shouted and in seconds everyone started to cheer. Many picked up their bags and dashed out of the classroom. It wasn't long before the classroom was cleared out expect for a few that were taking their time or still buried in their books.

I looked over. Maki seemed to be in shock and at their same time denial as if she couldn't believe that they would just ran out like that or the fact that there were no lesson.

"So, that means there no lesson?" She asked, her mouth dropped a gaped. So it was the second one, I chuckled to myself.

"Nope." I answered her popping the 'p'.

She seemed so lot it was kinda cute.

"Hey, since we have off for the next two periods, what to go do something?" That teacher taught us two subjects both of which was next to each other.

She just looked blankly at me.

I picked up my bag, stood up and slung a strap across one of my shoulder.

I looked at her with at smile "Come on. It'll be fun."

She finally gave in with a sigh she picked up her things and stood up.

She followed me out of the classroom where I begin to led her to somewhere we haven't brought them to. It was down a small alley away from the main building of the school.

"Where are we?"

"Just follow me." I said as I did a quick glance around. I made a turn after we passed the stairs and walked down a few more doors.

I turned the doorknob to reveal art stands scattered all around the room, paint supplies littered the place and the walls cover either some splatter of colours.

"Is this the art room?"

I nodded, taking a casual step in, hands in my pockets.

"Why did you bring me here?"

I looked away slightly "it's my secret hideout."

Out of the corner of my eye I could see she had a tiny embarrassed grin on her soft lips.

"So, why did you bring me here?" She closed the door and leaned against the wood that separated us from the world outside.

I shrugged and took and seat at my usual place.

"Are you in the art club?" She asked. I shook my head as I picked up a brush and ran my finger gently across the bristle. I flipped the big sketchbook in front of me took a new page.

"Are you going took paint something?" She watched me, her arms folded in front of her.

I smiled and turned to look at her "I want you took be my model."

"M-me? Your m-model?"

I nodded. The blush crept up her face but she nodded slightly.

I pointed to a stool in front of my position and asked her to sit there. She nodded and silently went to take her place.

I just directed her to sit as she pleased. With a smile on my face I picked up the brush and dipped it in some fresh paint i just had placed on the wooden pallette. I gently swept the soft brush bristle across the canvas, doing my best to capture her essence.

We had small exchanged while I did so.

I smiled and looked up and the her when I was done.

"Finished already?" She raised her eyebrow with a hint of a grin.

I stood up and grabbed the top of the book and flipped it around to show it to her. Her eyes snapped opened twice their size and her mouth dropped a gaped as she took a careful step towards me for a closer look.

"What do you think?"

She gently ran her finger down the paper "it's...its amazing..." she breathed. I sighed glad that she liked it.

The bell rang, signalling that our next lesson was about to begin.

She eyes seemed to be fixed on the art work itself. She seemed a little sad when I turned it around.

I chuckled and tore the page out. Rolling it up, I passed it to her.

she looked at me in somewhat a confusion. "You are giving this to me?"

"Well yeah. Was it suppose to give it me someone else?" I shrugged with a silly grin.

She blushed and hit me gently on my arm "Thanks." She mumbled.

"No problem. Now we better get heading back."

she nodded "I can't believe we were in here for two hours. Time really did fly."

"Yah. It did. It was fun. Thank you."

She smiled and nodded.

We walked beside each other in comfortable silence as we headed back to class.
