Experience: Language Barriers

My parents want me SO BAD to learn Sri Lankan. To the point they signed me up for an event at the temple I worship at that TEACHES us it. It's also quite stupid because we learn about the history most of the time, and the history is just repeated over and over.

Anyways. Every single person I know can speak our language. And I can't. I feel kinda like an outcast ;-;

For some reason, I forget so easily. So if I don't learn a language early on, I won't learn it later. Which is what happened when I tried learning our language. I failed horribly. .-.

In any case, I do know what people are saying, so don't think I'm totally clueless. I can understand what they're saying almost 95% of the time, I just can't speak it back. SO I GOT MAH EYE ON YU.

And I'm not even joking, the first thing people who've known me ask as soon as they meet my mom is this: "Has he learned Signaleese yet?". And she'd answer. "No. My son is bloody foolish. He does not know anything about our culture. He gets A's only, so he is a bloody idiot."

IM KIDDING, IM KIDDING!

I don't always get A's. Sometimes A-'s :3

Anyway, sorry for such a short chapter. I'll accompany it with a longer one next time. Until then, TOODLE-DOO!
