Toshiro's POV

When I heard that my squad is in danger, I can't explain how worried I am for everyone back there. What could possibly be the cause of the trouble there? Though I don't wanna leave, I have no choice but to go back to my division as soon as I can.

When I got to soul society, Nobody welcomed me. 'Not that I care...'

I headed to my division real quick. It was totally strange. Nobody could be seen everywhere and the silence is deafening.

I ready my zanpakuto in case somebody or something attact me. 'Where are the others?'

I walk slowly and carefully to my division office and when I opened the door, something unexpected happened.

I heard a loud bang then confettis were thrown in the air. There's also a sudden clattering and they all showed up shouting, "SURPRISE!!!"

Everyone close to me was there...or should I say almost. They're all smiling at me and they all welcomed me warmly.

"S-surprise!?! What for?"

Matsumoto hugged me before she answered me with her signature grin. "Nothing. We just thought you're so into all these works that we realize you aren't enjoying anymore. And so we arranged a party for you, Taichou!"

I didn't reply. I'm supposed to be happy... But I can't. I just can't.

"Shiro-chan, are you okay? You don't look happy..." Hinamori asked me with a concerned look. Everyone stared at me intently trying to read what's on my mind.

"Of course I'm thankful because y'all think about me... but you also made me worry! I can't believe you made me think you're all in danger just to make me come here... And we all have our tasks to do... This isn't a good time for a party..."

They didn't respond. But I hope they get my point. I just can't believe I left (Y/N) without saying a word... Just for a party...

"I appreciate your efforts. But I'm sorry... You could continue that party even without me, I won't mind..."

While walking outside, I heard of my lieutenant. "O-okay... I'm now in charge of this party! Don't worry... Maybe Taichou just felt exhausted because of too much working..."

*sigh* 'that's not it.'

I can't think clearly. Staying here is an absolute waste of my time. I have to go back to Karakura. I have my mission there... Plus... I miss (Y/N)... I wonder what she's up to. Hope she's fine...

I'll go back as soon as I finish those huge piles of paperworks I've seen under Rangiku's table. I really can't rely on her when it comes to paperworks.

Hinamori and Kira called me when the party is over. They asked for my forgiveness and I asked for theirs too, knowing I also made a mistake.

"Shiro-chan, we cleaned your office and so you have nothing else to worry about." Hinamori told me while smiling.

"Thank you. But stop calling me with that nickname, momo..."

She just giggled before she and Kira shunpoed away. 'Heh, They look good together...'

"Matsumoto!!!"

She quickly left. She's fast when it comes to escaping work...

I expected to face matsumoto's paperworks, but these are supposed to be handled in last last week! What did she do while I'm away!?!

I have no choice but to start working. If I need not to sleep just to finish this, I will.

'I can't believe she managed to throw a party, ignoring all of this...'

"Finally!" After working nonstop, I finished the paperworks even faster than I expected.

I was called by Head Captain after hearing the news about the party at my office. He told me I need to prioritize tasks that are assigned to me rather than things like that.

"I swear it won't happen again... I'll head to Karakura Town as soon as possible." 'Matsumoto!!! You're such a hassle at times...'

After days spent here in Soul Society, I can't help but to worry about my girl...

'I'm sorry for leaving, (Y/N)... I made you miss me... But I promise we'll make new memories to be missed.'

I stepped forward heading on my way to Karakura Town once again...
