Peter woke up to the sound of his alarm going off, it was a steady rhythm of monotone beeps. He groaned as he rolled over, opening his eyes slowly.

"Karen," he mumbled. "Turn on the lights, please. And start the shower."

The lights came on slowly, letting the teen's eyes adjust to the lights. He heard the shower come on and he pulled his blankets off his legs.

After his shower, Peter got dressed in a pair of plain jeans, a red long sleeve, and a pair of black vans. He gave his guinea pig, a gift from his mom, some extra hay and patted her head affectionately. Once that was all taken care of, he grabbed his bag from his desk chair, shoved his homework into it, and headed down the hall.

Peter Parker-Stark had been living in the Tower for nearly 6 years now. He was right at the top, the penthouse, where the rest of the Avengers were. They'd all moved in after Tony and Pepper had adopted Peter, to help out and all of that. Taking in an 9 year old was no easy feat after all.

God, Peter loved his family. He had no memory of his parents, nor his uncle. All he had known after them had been foster care, which was nothing like this. Tony and Pepper asked him to call them dad and mom, if he were okay with it, of course, and the rest of the Avengers went by Aunty or Uncle.

Uncle Steve, Sam, Clint, Bucky, and Bruce taught Peter all they could about training, superheroes, and science. Uncle Rhodey was usually up in his lab, and Peter didn't see him nearly as much as he saw the others, but even he pitched in when it came to raising Peter. Aunty Nat taught him Russian, which drove the rest of the family insane. His dad let him work on new tech, new projects. And his mom. His mom was kind and beautiful and smart! So smart... she taught Peter so much about running the company.

It was a typical morning for Peter when he walked into the kitchen. His mother was reviewing paperwork at the table, and his father was reading a paper. Steve was making pancakes, while Bruce and Sam worked on eggs. Uncle Clint was at the table with Uncle Rhodey and Uncle Bucky, eating.

Peter grabbed a pancake off the top of the stack and winked at his uncle, while Steve simply raised an eyebrow at him.

"Good morning," Peter said as he stooped down to give his mom a kiss on the cheek and to hug his dad from the back. "That looks serious," he commented while pointing at the story his father was reading.

"Доброе утро, маленький паук?" Aunty Natasha raised an eyebrow and looked up from her black coffee. (Translation: No good morning, little spider?)

"Извините, тетя Nat. Доброе утро," Peter replied lazily, giving the ex-assassin a kiss on the cheek as well. He gulped some orange juice, washing down the pancake he had shoved in his mouth. (Translation: Sorry, Aunty Nat. Good morning.)

He bid everyone a good day and said his good byes, then made it to the elevator down to the lobby of the Tower. The Tower was huge, by the way, it took Peter nearly 3 minutes to reach the bottom, even in the elevator. It was a private one, one for only the family. Thank god for that, stops along the way would have made the ride so much longer.

Once in the lobby, he called to FRIDAY. "Bye, Fri, see you at 3!"

He dashed outside, where he saw Happy in an inconspicuous car. Peter had begged Tony and Pepper to get just one simple car for Happy to drive him to school in, and after a while, they had given in. Of course, it only looked normal. The inside was completely decked out, enabled with all of FRIDAYs interfacing, etc.

The ride to school from the Tower took about 20 minutes. During that time, Peter typically scratched out some last minute homework answers and such. Today, though, he didn't have any, so he made small talk with Happy. He pulled up to the school, letting Peter off with a wave.

Peter slipped through the halls to find Ned. Ned and he had been friends since middle school, and he had been there when he had been bitten by the spider that gave him his powers. He also knew that he was living at the Tower, seeing as he had been over to play video games before. Ned also knew that Tony was keeping Peter's adoption a secret, and went along with Peter's ruse.

"You ready for chem?" Ned's question was innocent enough, but Peter knew what he really meant. "Its in my bag," the taller teen said as he slipped his books into his locker. Ned went rooting around Peter's bag, looking for his friend's homework.

After Ned copied some answers, the two made their way to class. They sat near the front, but Flash and his cronies were in the very front row.

"Morning, Penis..." Flash's voice rang out. The class generally laughed as Peter lit up red and looked at his shoes. He took his seat and waited for the teacher to get there.

One terribly boring class later, Peter was ready to go to another class. Any other class. I mean, his Uncle Bruce had done quantum mechanics with him 3 years ago! Peter was packing up, getting ready to dash out, but was interrupted.

"Class, I have exciting news! There will be a field trip this upcoming Friday. It won't be the typical trip to the science center, no. We have been cleared to take a tour of the Stark Industry Tower. I have permission forms to be signed and turned in Thursday for the trip, please come get them and have them filled out as soon as possible. Thank you."

Peter felt Ned grab his arm, but he didn't hear him whispering. He was suddenly feeling lightheaded. How was he going to survive this trip AND keep his family a secret? He'd just have to talk to his mom before the rest of the family found out, she could probably think of something.
