Jesse had defeated the Wither monster, and peace had returned once more to Beacon Town. Harper was here on vacation from her relm, and stayed with me most of the time. I was in the lab that day, working on potions, when I felt someone behind me. I turned around, coming face-to-face with Harper, who looked at me curiously.

"How do you... Do that?"

I was confused. "Make potions?"

She nodded. "Yeah. Potion making died out in my relm, so no one knows how to do it.

I waved her over. "Come here and I'll show you."

I can see there's so much to learn
It's all so close and yet so far

After a few hours, she had the basics down pat, and was enjoying herself immensely. I reached into one of the back chests and pulled out some of the more... Interesting ingredients, laying them out in front of her.

"Now see if you can figure out what ingredients make what potions." I said, also laying out a table of all the potion possibilities.

Harper stared at everything before getting to work. I stepped back, admiring her from afar. I would never admit this out loud, but as time passed, I found myself growing feelings of the romantic kind for the smart girl in front of me.

After the potion making, Harper and I wandered about Beacon Town, as I pointed out different cool and random things to her.

"So everyone here is free to build whatever they want?" Harper asked. I nodded, causing her expression to puzzle.

" That's so strange... " She looked over at me. "Can we see more of these peoples' builds?"

"Of course." I said.

Every gesture, every move that she makes
Makes me feel like never before
Why do I have this growing need to be beside her?

This girl. This strange, wondrous, and beautiful girl, had somehow managed to wiggle her way past my cold exterior and into my heart. How could I never have noticed this before? But then again, I was never good with understanding feelings. What if she doesn't feel the same? Who could ever love me?

As the sun set and we returned to my house, Harper grew quiet, which was unusual for the talkative inventor. I looked over at her.

"Are you alright?" I asked her.

Harper shrugged before sighing. "Is it wrong to not want to go back to my relm?"

" Why don't you want to go back? " I asked. "I thought you wanted to help reconstruct your relm?"

" i did. " Harper said. "But they've made it very clear that I am not wanted there anymore."

I reached down slowly and took her hand. "Then stay here. Stay with me in Beacon Town. We can use the Atlas to go explore other relms, to expand our knowledge even more!" I looked up at her, my cheeks pink.

"Please, stay with me."

Harper threw her arms around my neck, hugging me. "I'd love to." She whispered, hugging me tightly, before locking her lips with mine.
