The door swung open and in entered a man of middle age dressed formally in black lining dress pants with a grey plain collared shirt, perfectly polished black shoes and a coat formally held in his left hand. He entered the room calmly with everyone glaring at him.

He smiled softly at Farah who smiled back just before he said "Good morning. How are you feeling now?" He asked her while picking up the file placed next to bed.
"Better Dr." She replied normally despite the fact she was going through extreme levels of body aches.
"I see. Your recovery will take some time," he stated as he closed shut her file.

He took his spotless white coat and wore it.
"I have prescribed you a few pain killers for body aches." He told her. She smiled in relief and he giggled at the look of it.

He folded his arms at his back like a gentleman and said "Hope to see you get well soon," she smiled again weakly.
"And make sure you don't move too much otherwise your stitches might come off." He completed and a wave of fear swirled through Farah turning her face pale as if she was a child. This was one of the biggest truths of her life that she was indeed phobic of needles. Let it be injection, IV or an incision, she was not a fan of any of these.

The doctor left the room with Farah still terrified with the thought of her wounds tearing and blood flowing out of it.
"Farah, stop being a baby." Seher mocked her after noticing her ridiculous expressions for a while.

Farah turned her gaze away and finally managed to calm herself or else she might administer a minor anxiety attack!
"What?" She childishly replied Seher.
"Needles won't kill you." She said as she steered her phone corresponding to the game on her phone. Farah stared her for a micro second and burst into laughing when she witnessed Seher sliding over the couch unconsciously while fully concentrating on her game and eventually fell off the couch.

Three of them were rolling in laughter when a light knock was administered on the door. All of them at first controlled their excessively immature laughter and then reshaping their faces like normal people, Mahreen replied "come in.".

I entered the hospital building eagarly as I was dying to see Farah. It's been days she was in hospital, laying totally lifeless so I missed her being around me, well virtually or via technology!

I was stampeding through the busy corridors of the hospital with medical staff, patients and visitors passing by me, when I noticed something strangling in my feet. I looked at it and found that my shoe laces were untied despite the fact I had tied them well when I was at home.

I grinned and knelt myself with my feet balanced on the nearby bench, tied my laces effectively. I scanned the surroundings before continuing myself to her room.

"Come in." Mahreen replied and following it entered a man. He looked around the age fifties as his black hair had a tinge of white color. He was donning casual black pants with a stripped blue t shirt with a pair of black partially polished shoes.

As he stepped inside a respectful smile emerged Farah's dry and pale face and he moved forward towards her while bowing in gesture towards Mahreen and Seher.
"Aoa." He greeted Farah who sat up on the bed.

"Woa Sir." She replied.
"How are you feeling now?" He asked while taking a seat next to her.

"Better enough. How are you?" She replied.
"Good to know that," he said.
"I am fine just a few scratches." He replied hilariously moving around his bandaged wrist and Farah giggled.

"Would you like some tea?" Mahreen asked from behind.
"Yeah sure." He replied with a calm smile.
Mahreen then left the room followed by Seher leaving the two of them behind.

"I am sorry Farah, If I would have been careful, you wouldn't be going through this." He said apologetically.
"It's completely fine sir, it was meant to happen plus I did managed to survive." She answered smiling.

"What happened at the head quarters after that?" She curiously asked.
"Most of the officers were saved but few of them died that night including Insp Farhan," he replied but paused for a moment.

Farah sighed apologetically while streams of sorrow appeared on her face.

"Thank God the information was saved before they could hack it. And few culprits were also arrested successfully." He finished.
"Sorry about Insp Farhan," she sighed and he smiled softly.

"I hope the matter gets dissolved before things turn serious." She wished.

"Hopefully. Don't think much about it," he said authoritatively.
"Farah you take rest until you get recovered." He told her to which she smiled obediently.

"Sure." She replied sarcastically.
In a few seconds Mahreen and Seher entered the room with three cups with hot boiling tea.
"Have some." Seher said as she forwarded tray of cups towards him.
"Thanks." He said as he took one cup and sipped the hot tea.

He took another long sip and stood up from his chair, gesturing them of him him leaving.
"I'll take your leave now. Get well soon Farah." He said and walked towards the door, which unknowingly to him was already being opened from the outside.

The moment Rehan turned the door knob open, he nearly bumped into the person, almost spilling his tea on the floor, who was previously entering the room.

"Sorry." Rehan apologised for his fault while the person kept staring him as if didn't belonged to the same universe but some other planet.
"Ahmer come in." Mahreen cheerfully welcomed him and abtubtly breaking the sharp eye contact between the two men, who were previously looking at eachother in amazement.

Rehan moved his face around consciously while excusing himself before leaving the room. In the meanwhile Ahmer stepped inside still with a bewildered look on his face.

'Dark times always reveal good people.'
