(Valentines Day Special💗)

It was a very big day for her. The sun is shining bright as the birds were chirping happily. She sat on her bed and yawned while stretching her arms. She hopped out of bed and went to the bathroom.

After she took a shower and change clothes, she grabbed her backpack and headed out on her way. As always, she would pass a certain haunted-looking house and she knew whose house was that.

She smiled but then, someone shouted 'boo!' behind her. She was surprised and almost fell. It was just her friend, Fang.

"You scared me..." She said while holding her backpack. She looked seriously at Fang who was laughing hardly.

"Your face looks hilarious!" He said between laughs. Ying frowned at him. "Oh shut up."

"Hey, You know what day it is?" Fang asked as they began walking on the alleyways going to her school. Ying looked at him, confused. "What? Is it something special?" She asked.

"You forgot? Today's Valentines Day." Fang said then Ying remembered that she, with the help of her friend, Fang, made a card for her crush which was one of the most popular guys in school. His name is Matt.  "Oh, right!" She exclaimed upon realization. "Come on. We have to do the plan!" She said and walked faster to school. Fang was left behind. He looked at Ying who was walking ahead of him. Fang sighed sadly. "If only you know how I feel..."

Ying arrived at the classroom happily and thanked that her crush wasn't here yet. She put the card in the desk and waited for her crush to come and read it. "What a nice plan you have." Fang said sarcastically. Ying rolled her eyes. "It is better than nothing."

Her crush came and stopped walking when he came to his desk. His friends gathered around him and was surprised. "Matt, it's best if you read it." His friend, Joshua said.

His friends went away for a while and he read the letter. The more he reads the letter, the redder his face had become. He closed the card and slowly went to Ying. "Can we talk outside the classroom?"

"Uh... Sure." Ying said, not sure if she should go or not.

They walked outside the classroom and Ying's face became redder in every second. Finally, her crush faced him.

"Okay, so I've read your letter..."

"I see that."

Matt frowned a bit. "Sorry Ying but I love someone else."

Those words had hit Ying very hard that she was already in the verge of crying. "I understand." She said, stopping herself from crying.

At the door, Fang was watching the scene. As Ying's crush went inside the classroom, Fang couldn't help but to pity Ying. Fang frowned as drops of tears began rolling down on Ying's face. A few seconds later, Ying ran away, not wanting to see anyone.

For her, she doesn't care if everyone else is happy. She just wanted to be loved- loved by someone who truly loves her.

She had ran to the school garden and sat on a nearby bench. "Why is the world so cruel?" She asked, as if someone would answer.

"Because the world will always give you obstacles to face."

Ying shot her head up and saw that Fang was beside her. "Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be in the classroom?"

"No because I just wanted you to know that I'll always be here... no matter what."

Fang hugged Ying and of course, Ying sobbed into his uniform. But then... This sentence always repeats in his head.

If only Ying knows how I feel.

Fang broke the hug and looked at Ying who was still sobbing. "Hey, want to skip classes and go to the carnival at the plaza?

"Yeah, Sure." She said as Fang suddenly grabbed her hand. She blushed.

But then, she quickly asked herself a question. Why is she feeling like this when she's with him? Does she like him too?

They had arrived at the carnival which was full of rides. The first thing they did was going to the haunted house.

While they were in the haunted house, All Ying did was hug Fang. To be honest she has a big secret that no one else knows- she's terrified of haunted houses. Just then, a white lady passed by them and Ying hugged Fang even more.

"Is it gone?"

"Yes."

They got out of the haunted house and went to a Booth where you can win stuff toys. Fang gave the ticket and the man gave him 3 balls. He aimed at the tin cans and made them all fall at the first shot. "Please choose your prize. And since you're the first one to try this game, you get two prizes." The man said.

Fang smiled proudly and faced Ying. "Which one do you want?" Ying looked at the shelf and her eyes wandered off to two penguin stuff toy. A girl penguin and a boy penguin.

"I think I'll just get those penguin stuff toys over there." She said and the man gave them the penguins.

Fang looked at Ying again. "What are you going to name that penguin?" He asked gesturing to Ying's penguin which was the boy penguin. "Because I'll name this penguin after you, Ying." Fang added.

"Then, I'll name it after you."

The whole afternoon, they spend their time on rides like bumpcars, carousel, roller coaster and the big boat that swings back and forth. After a short walk, they were already in front of the last ride- the Ferris wheel.

Ying went inside and Fang shut the door behind them. They sat on the seat, facing each other.

"Today... is the best Valentines Day ever." Ying exclaimed. "It was."

Fang looked into Ying's sapphire eys and got lost in them. He just wants to let her know the truth whether she would hate him or not.

"Ying, can I ask you a question?" He asked.

Ying blushed in a shade of pink. "Okay."

Fang continued. "If I ask you out on a date, how would you react?"

Ying didn't think twice and just told him what her heart is saying. "Are you kidding me? YES..."

They both hugged each other until Ying kissed Fang on the cheek. Fang blushed in a dark shade of red. "You're so cute when you blush..."

"Oh stop..." Fang said in an annoyed expression. "Anyway, I'm still here Ying if that jerk doesn't notice you."

"Thanks, Fang." Ying said and both of them went out of the ferris wheel.
