Lucy's POV 

When Natsu was fighting Mard Geer, Igneel came down and landed in front of me. I was in shock, who wouldn't when a giant dragon lands in front of you? Igneel puffs out some smoke out me. "Take care of my boy. I know you care for him most. I can see it in your eyes. He also cares for you just as much. So please, promise to take care and watch over him when I am gone." 

I widen my eyes. Then I smile, not catching on to the hidden meaning of us caring for each other. "I promise, I'll watch over our precious person." Igneel nods than takes to the skies. "Thank you" I smile softly than my face hardens when he takes on Acnologia. 

The first time I saw Natsu cry, was when Future Lucy died. Now... he's crying again, looking up at the sky while a massive amount of tears flow down his face. Happy, hiding behind a tree, watching and supporting Natsu from a distance, as I was. I cover my mouth to muffle his sobs. I put my free hand over my heart saying. "I'll keep your promise for as long I live" I say. "Thank you" I hear Igneel say. I smile lightly as I watch Natsu stand up. He looks up and screams. "I PROMISE TO TURN ACNOLOGIA INTO DRAGON DUST!" I sigh then smile harder. "He'll be fine."
