"Robin, we got a new recruit in the army, her names (y/n) and she will be a second in command Tactician if case you get hurt."

Robin looked up from his books, an annoyed expression on his face. "But I'm the only Tactician we need around here."

Chrom sighed. "I know, but this is one in case you get injured or ill."

"But that won't happen, I'll think my way out of it."

Sweat dripped down the back of Chrom's neck. "Sure... anyways she'll be in the next town and we'll pick her up from there. Can you share your books with her since she doesn't have much?"

As if a baby, Robin hugged the book close to his chest. "She can buy her own."

Chrom ran a hand down his face. "Just be nice to her."

It was around noon when Chrom picked you up from your home town. You were sad to leave it just you wanted to do something right and that was to fight along in this war. He took you and told over what everyone in the army does as you got it.

"Right, thank you, Lord Chrom."

"Please just call me Chrom. I'll have you come meet are real Tactician Robin."

Nervousness coiled up side you as you nodded your head fast. "I can't wait."

Chrom lead you to a medium sized tent a man with white hair bent down reading a book was sitting alone at his table. Chrom laughed as he patted the man's back. "Robin can you please meet the new second in command Tactician?"

The man sighed and looked up, only to have his face soft greatly as he dropped his book suddenly. He fumbled for it while looking up embarrassed. "H-Hello."

"Hi. I'm (y/n)."

"Robin."

His hand was shaky when you went to grab it. All the nervousness inside started to fade away as Chrom walked away quietly. "So... I heard I'll be borrowing books from you?"

"Oh yeah! Here!" He gave you a ton as your eyes widen at the stack. "I hope it's enough!"

"It's enough! But I don't need that many!"

"Oh so you don't like it...?"

"I do, but I'll just take half of it." You grabbed as many as you can and set it down on the ground. "Why don't we try to get to know each other?"

"Good idea. So... what do you like?"

"Ummm... do you play chess?"

Robin's eyes lit up. "I love chess! I'll get it out right now! Just wait until I kick your butt!"

Your eyes glinted with amusement. "Challenge accepted."

Robin's jaw hung open as you beat him at a game of chess. Everything he planned out inside his head was destroyed by you. Robin looked up as you gave him a sweet, innocent smile. "Looks like I won."

"But... I always beat everyone at Chess..."

"Oh well, people always have to lose at one point, do they not?"

"Yes but... still... I never thought..."

"Well you did, see ya later Robin."

You started heading out when Robin grabbed your arm and jerked you back. "You're not going anywhere until I have a rematch!"

A sigh came out from your mouth, "Robin I need to get dinner already."

"I know! But can't you stay with me for a bit...?"

"Hmmm... fine."

His face beamed as he pulled you towards his desk. "Great! We can get some reading to do!"

There was only one chair as he sat into it. You were about to ask, until he suddenly pulled you onto his lap. "There was only one so I thought this would be fine."

"A-Alright..."

You two ended up reading the whole night. Robin watched with happiness to see your sleeping face as he had your snuggled up nice and tightly in his lap with his arms also draped around you. Something lit up inside him we he kissed your cheek.

You woke up from the feeling and smile inside as you quickly saw Robins blushing face and mumbling something to himself over and over again. "I can't believe I just kissed my rivals cheek..."
