The cold stare of the ninja was always on you, never seemed to be leaving as you walked up to a huge crate and started to lift it. A vein started to pop out of your throat as the heaviness of it was greater than you thought. A sigh could be hear from out of nowhere as the other end of the crate was off the ground. Your eyes widen to see it was Sazio who had helped you lift the crate up.

"S-Saizo!"

"If you needed help you could have just asked. You knew I was watching you and still didn't call out for me."

You huffed and crossed your arms over your chest. "I was afraid you would ignore me and just watch me lug around his heavy crate."

"I would never do that." His words suddenly had your heart jump with strange happiness, until he set the crate down, and the edges of the top spilled out a sweet smell coming from them. Candy.

Sazio's nose wrinkled up in his mask as he eyed the food. "C-Candy... that was all that was in there...?"

"Yeah! Ryoma told me to move it to the mess hall so everyone could have desserts tonight!"

"Hump, I can't believe candy was the only thing Lord Ryoma thought to please the army."

"What do you mean? Candy is good!"

"I hate the flavor of it. Of candy itself."

"O-Oh... that's right, Ryoma told me you didn't like sweets... guess I forgot..." Your heart broke as you brought the candy for Saizo, but stupidly forgot about the one thing you could have remembered. "I guess I ruined your night after all."

"No you didn't. Explain yourself..."

"I-I..." Heat rushed to your face as you looked up at the ninja, "I bought the candy for you to both enjoy... but I forgot you didn't like candy... I messed up..."

You started to walk away, but a strong hand grasped your arm as it spun you around. "Wait." Saizo said with disbelief in his voice, "You bought all that for me?"

"Yes... but I was stupid and forgot about your hate for candy and me..."

"I-I never said I hated you." Blush escaped his mask as it rose to the top, showing a rosy pink color. "I like you... I was just too shy to say it until now..."

The world seem to spin a little as this all felt like a dream. "R-Really...? You like me?"

"I love you, Lady (y/n). I've just been too shy to talk much and hide out in the air ready to strike when danger is near. You warmed up in my heart with all the times I've had to watch over you. Will you marry me, Lady (y/n)?"

You tackled him to the ground as sweet spread all around. "Yes! Yes! Yes! I will marry you!"

As if through the mask, you could feel him smiling. "I'm so happy right now."

He started taking off his mask and scarf as you gasped in surprise. "I can't kiss you if I have this on." He said before kissing you. I was long and passionate as he finally pulled back before putting on his mask. You pouted at the mask, but stopped as you realized it was what that made Saizo, Saizo.

"I guess I can't be shy around you anymore, eh? I promise to tell you everything"

You smiled and fixed his red scarf. "I would love that."

After that, Saizo fed you the candy, not giving himself any, because he knew his treat was you.
