Silas turned the glinting object in his hand. A ring. His thoughts rolling over and over in his head about the good and bad about what he was about to do.

'What if (y/n) says no...? What if are childhood friend ship get ruined because of this one affect I have of her...?' Silas shook his head as he stared at the ring with determination, 'On my honor as a knight, I will do my duty and confess to (y/n)!'

He put the ring back in the tiny red box and put it back into his pocket as he when to look for his princess. You were looking outside from your room in the castle, unable to sleep. I was one of those nights as you look outside your cage built window looking out over Nohr. A knock came at the wooden door as it made you jump out of your dragon skin.

"Who's coming to my room late this night...?"

You opened the door to Silas, smiling to mask his worry. "Did I wake you up?"

"No, I was up looking through my window. I couldn't sleep."

"I see. Do you mind if I come in?"

The light from the candle faded out your bush as you nodded your head. "Sure."

You moved aside to let him in as he walked in slowly, almost as if he was nervous. He set himself down on the bed as you sat down beside him. "So what did you want to talk about?"

"J-Just some stuff I've been meaning to ask you." He said while playing with the ring in his pocket.

"What do you mean?"

Silas sighed as he looked into your (e/c) orbs, taking in the beauty of it all. "I'm saying there are some feeling going on around us. But first, tell me what you think of me?"

You set your eyebrows in thought and pondered in deep feelings. "I think your sweet, kind, strong, always ready to take the end of the sword for someone, brave, and the bestest friend of all!"

Silas smiled as he rested a hand on one of yours, but you didn't notice. "Do you think of me more than a friend sometimes?"

"I guess so. What are you getting at here Silas?"

Silas took a shaky breath as he pulled out the ring behind him. It shined beautiful in the light as your eyes widen at it. "(y/n) please listen to me and what I have to say."

"O-Okay..." You said out of breath and happiness

"I've always cherished you as my best friend, but now you're so much more. I love you, and I'm honored to be your partner in his life." He neared closer to you as your lips as just an inch away from each other, "I promise to never leave you again."

Instead of answering, you kissed him as Silas jumped in surprise, but kissed back with all the passion in his heart he had for you as a childhood friend and now. Since that night, you were able to sleep peacefully again.
