Jae woke up to the feeling of familiar hands wrapping around her. She nuzzled closely and halted. She opened her eyes and saw Yoongi sleeping. When did he come? Jae went to bed quite late that night, working on her song after she reached home from Daegu. It was 1.45 a.m. before she slept and she was definitely alone. She looked at the clock then. It was near to 4 a.m. Yoongi looked really tired and Jae's heart went to him. Careful not to jostle around, she snuggled closer and continued sleeping.

Jae woke up again as the sun was about to come up. She carefully moved Yoongi's hand away as she made her way to the bathroom. She then went on cooking breakfast. Her tummy was already growling, wanting to be fed. Yoongi's alarm on the phone went off as it hit 8 a.m. and he sat up straight away. He turned to Jae, with his tousled hair and bleary eyes. He wiped his face and ran his fingers through his hair.

"Good morning, oppa," said Jae from the stove.

Yoongi went trudging towards Jae and hugged her from behind. "Good morning," he said placing his head sideways on Jae's shoulder, still sleepy.

"Tough day yesterday?" asked Jae. "Why don't you wash up? We can have breakfast after that."

He kissed her quickly before making his way to the bathroom.

The breakfast spread for the day was quite big. Jae went all out cooking bulgogi and soft tofu soup. She brought out the side dishes Yoongi's mom packed for her.

"Wow, this is hearty," commented Yoongi as he sat at the coffee table.

"Special day deserves a huge breakfast spread. Merry Christmas, oppa," wished Jae. "Let's eat before it gets cold."

After they ate and cleared the table, Jae handed him a present. "This is for you."

"Hold on," he said, pulling on his backpack nearby. He took a long box out and handed it to her too.

"I thought the equipment there were my presents," said Jae, eyeing on her work desk.

"That's part 1. This is part 2," said Yoongi.

"You're wrong. This is part 3."

"What's part 2?"

"Your letters," Jae said happily, taking the shoe box on the book rack. "I'm having second thoughts on letting you read those unopened letters. You'd better not know what's in it."

"Aww come on. You already gave it to me," Yoongi objected, holding his hand out for that box.

"I gave it to you then. And now it's with me," said Jae. "Don't bother taking this one. This box only contains the ones you replied to," added Jae as he was about to take the box away.

"Jae, I want to read it," he insisted.

"You missed your chance," replied Jae in a sing-song tune as she opened her present, not wanting to talk about the letters anymore. Her eyes brightened as she saw the content in the box. "It's a Vic Firth – Steve Gadd drumstick! Thank you!!!" said Jae, hugging and kissing Yoongi happily. "I've been wanting this for years. I promise I'll try not to break it."

"You break drumsticks?" asked Yoongi, shocked.

"Sometimes, when I get too absorbed with the song," answered Jae sheepishly. "Just because I'm thin it doesn't mean I don't have the muscle power to break the stick," Jae flexed her arm.

"There's something else in the compartment under the drumstick," said Yoongi.

Jae removed the lid and paused. "Oppa, this is too much," said Jae as she looked at the Tiffany's interlocking necklace.

Yoongi smiled. He just knew that Jae wouldn't mind him giving the drumstick much, but when it comes to anything extravagant, she would be making some objections. He took the necklace and put it on her. "There, it looks pretty on you."

"I don't know what to say."

"Just say, thank you, oppa."

"You shouldn't have. Thank you, oppa," she said looking at the necklace. "I suddenly feel like Smeagol in Lord of the Rings. My precious," Jae did an impersonation of the character and Yoongi laughed. She nailed it and would do Andy Serkis proud. "Go on ahead and open yours."

Yoongi opened the present and there was The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. There was another box inside the box.

"I found the signed first edition of that book on the internet. Was glad it was the real deal," said Jae.

He opened the small box and there was a leather bracelet with their names engraved inside the clasp and the word 'Always' outside. "I don't know what to write outside. 'Always' was all I could think of."

"I love it. Really. Both of it. Thank you," Yoongi kissed Jae and went on marveling the book Jae gave him. "When did you get all of these?"

"I was bored in the hospital after the fire so I did some shopping. It came a week after I was discharged," explained Jae. "Anyway, I'm wearing a matching bracelet," said Jae holding up her right hand.

"Help me with this," said Yoongi, taking the bracelet out of the box.

Just as Jae finished putting it on, his phone rang.

Yoongi looked at the clock. "I have to leave soon. Its show day," he said, after accepting the call.

"I'll be watching you on the livestream," said Jae as she didn't have a TV at her house.

"I'll be here tonight after the show is done. I leave my bag here," he said, giving her a peck before taking his hooded jacket from the rack.

"Take care, drive safe," said Jae as he left her house.

At the show venue.

After countless practice and few time rehearsal, BTS went to their room as they prepared themselves for the red carpet event. Everyone in the room was busy with the clothes, make-up. Some of them went to the food spread in the room as when the show started, they won't have the time to eat until after the show ended. They needed the energy to perform. Yoongi decided to just eat lightly as he was always strung up before the show. Eating a lot might not be wise with the food shaking around in his stomach when he executed the grueling choreography for their song.

Yoongi put down his phone and he looked around. Too much screen time was straining his eyes. A magazine on the coffee table in the room caught his attention. That magazine was at Jae's too this morning. It was a gaming magazine and it probably belonged to one of the staff. Thinking of just to kill time, he took it and started to browse the content.

It was mostly on the latest games and the gadgets, console and everything game related. It was not that appealing for Yoongi other than the latest audio set they highlighted. He was about to put the magazine back until he saw a picture of Jae smiling back at him from one of the pages. He then stopped and started reading it earnestly. There were interviews on game musicians. They interviewed 5 and each of them got a page covered on their work.

He smiled widely as he read through the interview. It was mostly about how the musicians came up with their tune and being the integral part of the game. Jae's notable work was listed and he was proud to see her accomplishment. She managed to pull all of them out despite working around the clock for years. Her future project was hinted without giving all the information away. There were 3 pictures of her on it. One was of her working at the studio, and the other one was her playing the drum. Another picture was of her wearing a nice dress as she was posing with the other 4 musicians. He could only see Jae and that smile of hers was driving him crazy. He was a second away from tearing the page off for his keeping until a male staff came to him.

"Sorry Min Yoongi-ssi, that magazine is mine. I forgot to take it," said Park Ye Jun, the staff apologetically.

"It's okay," said Yoongi. "You're a gamer?" he asked.

"Just for fun, but not that good. Do you know that that musician used to work in our company?" asked the staff as he saw the page Yoongi was reading.

"Who?" asked J-Hope as he joined Yoongi and Ye Jun.

"That girl in the magazine, Ahn Jae Hwa. She used to work as a cleaning personnel in our company," said Ye Jun pointing to Jae's picture inside.

"Whoa, it's Jae. Of course we know her," said J-hope as he took the magazine and started to read. "She's a drummer too?" asked J-Hope in general as he looked at her picture. "That's amazing."

Yoongi was trying hard not to respond at J-Hope's compliment by saying that he knew way before the article was written. Taehyung joined them too and said the same thing about Jae being a drummer. "Yoongi hyung, you always have a thing for female drummer right?" asked Taehyung straight away. J-Hope sent a warning look to Taehyung.

"What? I'm asking him in general," defended Taehyung.

"Yes, I do," answered Yoongi short.

"You're lucky," replied Taehyung and J-Hope whacked Taehyung on impulse.

"She's quite popular among the male staff when she was working in Big Hit," supplied Ye Jun, unaware with the reaction he received.

"Popular in what kind of way?" asked Yoongi.

"She's a beauty, which was obvious. The guys went around and asked her for a date," said Ye Jun. "But she rejected every one of them," he sighed. "I myself included."

"That's good," mumbled Yoongi.

"The agent from our company even wanted to scout her too. But she turned that one down saying she was too old and not interested," added Ye Jun.

If only the agent know what other job she was doing, she would probably be lured into being a member of their musicians too. Yoongi didn't mind that one bit if she wanted it. He knew she was not interested as she was setting her eyes on game developers.

"We even have a running bet on who would succeed in asking her out. She's hot even without the make-up," added Ye Jun. Taehyung and J-Hope could see that Yoongi was getting incensed. "Who would have thought she made all those songs. And now she way hotter. Just look at her playing that drum, just wow. She looks even better in that dress. Those legs, whoaaa. The other guys are now pestering the cleaning staff for her phone number," Ye Jun couldn't stop gushing like a fanboy.

Taehyung looked at J-Hope in worry. He was alerting J-Hope at Yoongi who was getting redder that instance. Yoongi turned from his seat and was about to give his piece of mind but was stopped when Taehyung jumped in. "Ye Jun-ssi, someone is calling you," said Taehyung straight away.

"Yeah go ahead, someone is looking for you," added J-Hope in.

Ye Jun took his magazine from J-hope and excused himself as he looked for his non-existent caller.

"Calm down, hyung," soothe J-Hope.

"You're a breath away from punching that guy," said Taehyung.

"I wasn't planning to," replied Yoongi,

"Then why the tight knuckle?" asked Taehyung, pointing at Yoongi's right hand.

Yoongi loosened his grip. He didn't realize he was doing that.

"Face it, hyung," said J-Hope. "Your girlfriend is popular too," he added quietly.

"Does the company know about you and her?" asked Taehyung. That was what Yoongi planning to do after the new contract was signed.

"I already informed the upper management. They were okay with it especially after she resigned from the company. They remind me not to get into any controversies or scandal and not be too eager in disclosing our relationship. That's all," said Yoongi.

"That's good," commented J-Hope.

"It's time to hit the red carpet. Let's get moving everyone," called the floor manager.

BTS stood and checked on themselves for the last time. As they were about to exit the room, Yoongi saw Ye Jun still holding on to the magazine. Right then and there Yoongi felt like buying all those magazines and keep it away from anyone's view. He was being irrational and he knew it.

He shook his head and joined the rest of the members on the red carpet.
