A while had passed before Flowerpetal saw the deputy's patrol return. Thankfully, none of them had scratches, and Flowerpetal figured that they did their patrolling with no problems.

Wonder why Deathclaw looks irritated...the light golden she-cat thought. Did Evilheart say something to make her angry, or is she always like that?

Wait, that's a stupid question. She's always angry, Flowerpetal let out an amused snort and shook her head.

Well, I may as well ask. She is my Clanmate, and Clanmates care for each other.

She trotted over to the dark deputy, who turned to look at her as she approached. "What?" the dark she-cat hissed.

"What happened during the patrol? You seem angry," Flowerpetal meowed.

Deathclaw let out a sigh. "We met someone at the border. Her name was Sharkshade, and she's apparently a commander in some Clan."

"There's another Clan?! Where is it?" Flowerpetal exclaimed.

"Don't know. All she said was that it was located past the barn in rogue territory," Deathclaw replied.

"Hmm...did she say anything vaguely threatening?" Flowerpetal inquired.

"Yes, actually. When I asked why a commander from another Clan was here, she said that nothing was going to stop her from possibly conquering MoonClan."

"There's no way she could!" Flowerpetal hissed.

"Actually...she probably could..." Deathclaw muttered. "Her Clan, whatever it's called, is made up of four conquered Clans."

"Well, does she know that MoonClan is the only Clan here...?"

"Yes. She knows we're only one Clan. She's been here for moons, watching all of us, specifically me," Deathclaw hissed.

"She said that?!" Flowerpetal exclaimed.

Deathclaw nodded, though fell silent after. Flowerpetal knew the conversation was over, and she gave a nod to the deputy before trotting away.

Whoever this Sharkshade is, I don't like her. She'll never take over MoonClan, not while we have StarClan watching over us, she thought, feeling a rush of determination. I'll die before this Clan falls under the control of a tyrant.

Little did she know, that the very cat she was thinking about, was watching her at that very moment.

The light golden she-cat felt eyes burning into her pelt, and thinking it was Sharkshade, she whipped around, relieved to see that it was only Gingerpelt.

"You okay?" she asked. "You seem stressed."

"Deathclaw said that she met a commander of a Clan that's past the rogue barn, and that her name is Sharkshade."

"Okay, but what in StarClan's name is a shark?" Gingerpelt exclaimed. "Is that a type of plant?!"

"Don't think so? Sounds more like an animal name..." Flowerpetal murmured. "Maybe Deathclaw knows."

The two she-cats walked over to where the deputy was sitting. Deathclaw, as usual, looked annoyed.

"Deathclaw, do you know what a shark is?" Gingerpelt asked curiously. At the ginger she-cat's words, Deathclaw tilted her head.

"Uh....all I know about sharks is that they're basically big, mean fish that have sharp teeth, and live in the ocean," the deputy replied.

"Oh, okay, thanks!" Flowerpetal chirped, bouncing away with Gingerpelt following.

Deathclaw's not so bad. Despite her fear, I now understand why Eclipsestar chose her as deputy.
